Vice President Joe Biden at a campaign event in Council Bluffs, Iowa: Video "Yes, we're gonna ask the wealthy to pay more. My heart breaks. [Laughter] Come on, man. You know the phrase they always use, 'Obama and Biden want to raise taxes by a trillion dollars. Guess what? Yes we do in one regard, we wanna let that trillion dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn't have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super wealthy. That's not a tax raise, that's called fairness!"

Tom Morrissey, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, issued the following statement regarding last night's debate between Mitt Romney and President Obama."After seeing firsthand how our Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, laid out his plans for the future of our country, it became clear that we were witnessing a truly presidential performance.  Obama, on the other hand, stumbled and sneered and proved he was the wrong person to be in the Oval Office.  It may take a week to wipe the smile off my face, after which my ballot will arrive in the mail and give me even more reason to be happy that we can vote for our Republican candidates who are going to get our country back on the right track."

Congressman Trent Franks statement regarding last night's debate between Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama:"Last night's debate could not have provided a starker contrast for the American people. Mr. Obama's lackadaisical performance consisted largely of parroting (often untrue) talking points and was a perfect analog to his uninspired, utterly failed four years in the Oval Office. Meanwhile, Governor Romney's specific ideas and innate understanding of the issues at hand showed Americans what it would look like to have a true leader at the helm of a country desperately in need of a course correction.

Robert Graham, AZ GOP chairman candidate, has released a video criticizing Prop 121, the Open Elections/Open Government initiative,  as corrupting influence on Arizona politics.  The video also highlight's Graham's concern that Proposition 121 is an attempt by outside groups to control Arizona's election process.  Contact: Graham, website or Facebook page.

Democrat Senate candidate Richard Carmona has still not addressed questions about his significant investment in major tobacco companies. The former U.S. Surgeon General is known for his public condemnation of smoking and tobacco use, fervently warning of its addictiveness and public health danger.  “Richard Carmona’s ‘blame the broker’ excuse strategy doesn’t wash for someone so publicly identified with anti-tobacco views,” said Andrew Wilder, communications director for Flake for Senate. “It shows a disturbing lack of responsibility from someone seeking to be a leader in this state.”
·         Why did Dr. Carmona invest in tobacco companies?
·         Did he own tobacco investments while he was Surgeon General or did he purchase them after beginning his crusade against tobacco use?
·         How much profit did he make on his tobacco investments and what does he plan to do with the money -- keep it or give to an anti-tobacco charity?
