·         CD5 Congressman-elect Salmon Names Adam Deguire Chief of Staff: Congressman-elect Matt Salmon today announced that Adam Deguire will serve as Chief of Staff for his congressional office. Deguire, an Arizona native, managed Salmon's campaigns in both the primary and general elections. As Chief of Staff, Deguire will serve as Salmon's top aide and be responsible for the day to day management of Salmon's congressional staff for both the Washington and district offices.

Arizona's fifth congressional district consists of portions of Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek and Apache Junction.

Deguire served as Campaign Manager for Matt Salmon for Congress during the primary and general elections of 2012. Before managing Salmon's return to Congress, Deguire worked as a top aide for the campaign and transition team of New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez. Deguire has also served as Executive Director of the Hawaii Republican Party, and worked in Washington, D.C. for the Republican National Committee. He is a native of Phoenix and a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson. He and his wife Dawn currently reside in Mesa.

Salmon was recently elected the US Representative for Arizona's fifth congressional district. Salmon returns to Congress after first being elected in 1994 and left office in 2001 to honor his term limit pledge. Salmon was rated in the top five among all 535 members of the House and Senate by Citizen's Against Government Waste for all six years he was in office. He is a lifetime member of the NRA with an A+ rating and also earned a 100% rating by the National Right to Life. He was also the proud recipient of the American Cancer Society's "Top National Elected Official" award. He is also a past chairman of the Arizona Republican Party.
