·        The Phoenix Public Works Department offers Phoenix residents a green way to take down their Christmas trees.  Trees can be dropped off for recycling at any of the participating Phoenix parks anytime between Dec. 26 and Jan. 5.  Participating parks: Visit

·        Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu Proposes A Change In The “Safe School Zone” Laws to allow for school administrators and designated teachers to be armed to initially defend against any violent attack on their school. Sheriff Babeu also supports assigning a deputy or police officer in every school as proposed by the NRA.

·        The Dedication of Arizona State Day in recognition of Henry Wickenburg – founder of the Vulture Mine and acknowledgement of LD22 Sen. Judy Burges, former LD4 Sen. Jack Harper and Wittman PC and current LD 13 Second Vice Chairman Ernie McCollum is scheduled at 2 pm, Jan. 27 in the Wickenburg Quality Inn in Wickenburg.  The trio is being honored for legislation recognizing the “first Saturday of January of every year” as Arizona State Day for Henry Wickenburg – the founder of the famed Vulture Mine – a gold mine to the south of Wickenburg, Dinner and Historical Entertainment at the Wickenburg Quality Inn, 2 pm, $16 per person.RSVP/reservations: Paula Hartwell 928-684-9018.

Mesa Dr., Mesa.  The Nov 29 election was invalidated due to irregularities confirmed by a Maricopa County Republican Committee investigative team. The team findings have been turned over to County Attorney Bill Montgomery.
