A  Hearing On The Train Me Arizona Law Suit has been set for 9:15 am, Aug 23, at the Maricopa County Superior Court, 101 W. Jefferson, Phx, Courtroom 413, 4th floor, East Court Building. As many will recall, this suit is the resulted when the Phoenix Public Transit Dept ordered the removal of AzCDL and gun training expert Alan Korwin’s weapons safety training signs from Phoenix bus shelters. In May 2011, the Goldwater Institute filed a lawsuit challenging the decision.

Gov Jan Brewer Will Cast Her Ballot in the Primary Election at 10 am., Aug 21.

The Latest Voter Registration Figures are out and according to Secretary of State Ken Bennett, Arizona has 3,100,575 registered voters, a decrease of 45,398 since the last report in June.  Of the state's 3.1 million voters, 1,113,123 are Republicans, 935,098 are Democrats and 1,025,634 have either registered with independent parties or not designated a party preference.   Libertarians make up a little less than one percent of the state’s total registration with 21,770, while 4,773 voters are currently registered as members of the Green Party.  Additionally, the Americans Elect Party has enrolled 177 voters since joining the state's other recognized political parties in 2011.  www.azsos.gov
