9-17-12 MCRC Briefs

Sept 17, 2012

LD13 Chairman Dr. Robert Branch Has Announced His Candidacy For The House Race that opened up when a judge removed Darrin Mitchell from the ballot late this afternoon. Branch, an outgoing, well-spoken conservative Republican Committeeman, said he agreed to seek the position after political activists requested he run as the district awaited the outcome of Mitchell’s hearing.

Recipient of the distinguished U.S. Armed Forces Humanitarian Service Medal, Branch authored the Maricopa County and AZGOP unanimously approved resolutions recommending that the Congress reverse the United States Attorney General’s decision to transfer terrorists to the United States.

The life-time conservative Republican served as a precinct committeeman (PC) in LDs 10, 12 and 13 prior to being elected Chairman of the new district that resulted from the recent redistricting.  Branch’s district runs from Wickenburg to Buckeye to the county line

Branch is a college professor, engineer, author, painter, husband and father who firmly believes in the Republican Platform. Congressman Trent Franks recently referred to Branch as “a True American hero, and one of the smartest people that I know.”

Branch is a pioneer in online post-secondary education and an accreditation expert. He is a  Professor at Liberty University, Adjunct Faculty at Grand Canyon University, and is the Area Chair for the Management and Information System Technology doctoral programs at the University of Phoenix. Bob teaches leadership, business, management, and technology classes at the doctorate level.

Branch and his wife Adell reside in Waddell. Their son is an Air Force veteran. Branch can be reached at dr.robertbranch@gmail.com
