Doug Ducey, Chairman Of No New Taxes, No On 204:  The proponents of Prop 204 have stooped to a new low today. In an act of desperation they are now threatening Arizona voters that if Prop 204 is not passed, they will close schools and fire teachers. This amounts to nothing more than holding our students hostage for a $1 billion ransom. I hope hardworking families will see through this transparent attack that is manufactured by the same Washington D.C.-based government union group that is funding the initiative.
“Prop 204 is bad public policy and is bad for our local economy. Any measure that raises our taxes $1 billion each and every year should go through an intense amount of scrutiny. Concerned taxpayers are reading the 15 single-spaced pages of this poorly written bill and continue to raise more red flags and warn us of its unintended consequences.
“Those supporting Prop 204 claim that it’s the silver bullet that will fix all that is wrong in K-12 education. If passed Prop 204 will pour $1 billion more into the same flawed education funding formulas that are not producing the results we desire, with no strings attached. Even worse, it earmarks over $100 million every year for special interest groups that have nothing to do with education.
“Voting No on Prop 204 will allow Arizona the opportunity to create real education reforms that rewards excellent teachers and gives more control to dedicated principals. As it is written, Prop 204 does not require that one cent reach the classrooms. Arizona students deserve much more than the empty promises and veiled threats Prop 204 is making.”

Congressman David Schweikert Has Announced His Opposition To Proposition 204, the permanent $1 billion annual tax increase. Congressman Schweikert joins a growing list of community and business leaders who understand Arizona needs real education reform and that Prop 204 is not the answer.

"Voter Groups" Actually Fronting Liberal Agenda: “League Of Conservation Voters” Not Objective – More Interested in Supporting Democrats than Cutting Gas Prices and Creating Jobs --  With voter interest in the election peaking less than three weeks before election day, Arizona Republican Party Chairman Tom Morrissey is reminding the Arizona electorate of yet another example of a biased special interest group purporting to “inform” voters.
The League of Conservations Voters based in Washington, DC was founded by environmentalists in the late 1960’s -- but today the group apparently does little more than simply oppose Republicans like Jeff Flake.  Significantly, the group also opposes the expansion of the Keystone Pipeline, a new section of oil pipeline that would not only create jobs but increase fuel supply and address the high price of gasoline.  Congressional Republicans like Jeff Flake have repeatedly pushed for the expansion, only to be blocked by the Obama Administration.
“Groups like the League of Conservation Voters are at the core of the liberal scene in Washington DC,” said Morrissey. “They play politics with our fuel supply and our efforts to create jobs and wrongly try to smear good Republicans, like Jeff Flake, who are working hard to build the infrastructure we need to address our nation’s energy needs.”

The Oct 27 AZGOP Candidates Rally And Election Night Viewing Party features Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Actor Steven Seagal and KFYI host Mike Broomhead, as well as candidates Jeff Flake, Matt Salmon, Susan Bitter Smith and Steve Churcri. Smoke And Mirrors: Kyrsten Sinema's Record As Criminal Defender Disappears From Campaign Bio   Sinema in 2006 boasted at a liberal gathering that she is a “criminal defense attorney who represents murderers,” and her official legislative biographies proudly touted her career as a criminal defender, according to AZGOP chairman Tom Morrissey.  (Shawn Macomber, “The Marginalized Mainstream,” The American Spectator, June 14, 2006)
2005: “Kyrsten … will practice criminal defense while not in session.”
2007: “Kyrsten … practices criminal defense law in the Phoenix community.”
2009: “She … practices law when not in session.”
January 2012, just before retiring to focus on her election: “She … practices law when not in session.”
Abracadabra, now Sinema’s legal career has vanished from her campaign for Congress. Her campaign biography makes no mention of her legal career, or her push for an end to the death penalty – even for terrorists! – or her disdain for victims’ rights.  A big part of her life as a lawyer and a liberal activist has simply disappeared.
“Kyrsten Sinema is putting on a magic act that would make David Copperfield jealous,” Tom Morrissey, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party said. “Sinema can’t run from her record on crime forever.  First, she stonewalls on calls to release her criminal client list, and now she’s scrubbed away any evidence of her soft-on-crime past from her campaign.  Her act has gotten old, and Arizona voters won’t fall for her tricks.”
