·        In Observance Of The 150th Anniversary Of Abraham Lincoln's Signing Of The Emancipation Proclamation, the Arizona American African Republican Committee is organizing a special event on Tuesday, January 1st from 1 to 3:00 pm at Eastlake Park, 1540 East Jefferson Street in Phoenix. The Rev. Clyde Bowen, Chairman of the AAARC said, "This is an event to recognize Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, and to remind everyone in Arizona of our heritage as Americans." ·        Yavapai Board Of Supervisor Tom Thurman Was On KQNA radio today defending Christmas.  It seems he has been getting beat up about Christmas by the atheist group in town.  Perhaps they have forgotten the Constitution gives us freedom OF religion not freedom FROM religion.  Listen:  http://www.kqna.com/
·        Former Wickenburg Republican Club Treasurer Dolores Hershkowitz, 79, of Wickenburg passed away Dec 18. To know her was to love her quick wit, the stories of her life after she came to the area to work on dude ranches in the early 1950s and of her world-wide travels, including Jerusalem and the Vatican. One of her stories revealed living in the same house for years as the city, county and post office all listed her at different addresses.
·        Keith Alexander Is Chairman Of The Resolutions Committee For The AZGOP State Convention in January. The other committee members are:  Deb Miller, Timothy Lee and Dan Shultz.
·        The AZ GOP Nomination Committee For The January Meeting consists of: Chairman John Rhodes and Phil Mason, Harold Hough, Joe Abate, A.J.LaFaro and Shiree Verdone.
§  At The Close Of Business On Dec. 12, Dewey-Humboldt Town Clerk Judy Morgan Said She Had Received Packets From Three Residents Running For The 2-Year Term For Mayor: Chris Berry, David Nystrom, And Incumbent Mayor Terry Nolan.
