·        The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission Will Meet At 5:30 Pm, March 14 at the Evans House, 1100 W. Washington Blvd, Phx. This meeting will NOT be streamed online (No live meeting)  Agenda Info

·        Attorney General Tom Horn Heads To Washington March 14 To Argue The Voting Rights Case Requiring Proof Of Citizenship By Voters Before The US Supreme Court.

·        MCRC EGC Chairman A.J. LaFaro sent a copy of the Maricopa and Pima County Republicans opposition resolutions to members of the Arizona State Legislature requesting that they "Say no to Brewer & Obama."  LD Chairman and their precinct committeemen are encouraged to also send a message to the Governor and state legislators rejecting Medicaid Expansion in Arizona. The Maricopa and Pima County opposition resolutions can be seen at the web sites shown above.

·        LD13 has joined LDs 11, 15, 16, 17, 22 and 27 and the Maricopa, Cochise and Pima County Republican Committees in passing resolutions in opposition to the Governor’s Medicaid Expansion (AHCCCS) in support of Obamacare.  The LD12 Executive Board also passed a resolution,

·        Everyday more names pop up as potential appointees for the position of the District 4 Maricopa County Board of Supervisors positions that was vacated March 11 by long-time Supervisor Max Wilson, who retired due to health problems. Candidates include:

·        Lt Col Wendy Rogers - US Air Force (ret)- is kicking off her 2014 run for Arizona’s Congressional District 9 between 5-7  pm, March 17 at the home of Dr. Ron  & Kelly Yunis, 3303 N. ·        Volunteers Needed: Maricopa County Republican Headquarters - West Needs Volunteers for four-hour shifts at the Sun City office, 10050 Bell Road (NW corner of 99Ave/Bell Rd).  The office has two-staffers per shift. Several shifts are open.  There are many exciting events planned for the immediate future including fund raisers, training programs, speakers, and other projects that require a variety of skills.  Volunteers have an opportunity of interfacing with elected officials, district chairmen, precinct committeemen as well as the public. ·        The Arizona Conservative Coalition (formerly the Pachyderm Coalition), has released its latest update to its legislator ratings.    legislative ratings This week Sen. Kimberly Yee and Rep Steve Smith, Carl Seel, Steve Montenegro, Warren Petersen, Darren Mitchell, and David Kwasman ranked over 90% in voting in support of Republican principles. 

·        The Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC) Fund Raising Committee Has Scheduled A Yard Sale from 8 am to 2 pm, March 21 and March 22 at the home of Phyllis and Peter Lee, 18825 N. Conestoga Dr., Sun City. Please bring sale items to the Lee home March 18 and 19. The committee will price items on March 20. ·        Secretary of State Ken Bennett will speak at the Fountain Hills Republican annual breakfast at 9 am, March 16 in the the Fountain Hills Community Center featuring Secretary of State Ken Bennett as the speaker.The catered breakfast is $15 for club members and $17 for non-members.
