·        Letter To AZ Senator Andrew Biggs:  Common Core has been creeping into our schools and homes for some time now.  It is my true concern that the people’s voices of Arizona are not being heard, but only those that reign in on SOME of the school boards that do NOT listen to the parents of our school children.  This email is not meant to show any emotion, threat, promise, opinion, or self-serving need on my part, but only to share FACT from most of Arizona who have children or grandchildren, or are taxpayers in the State with a financial interest in expressing their hope you will hear this Referendum as you receive it.
As a citizen of Arizona, a parent and grandparent of children who have attended public schools in Arizona, and in my professional capacity as: Legislative Liaison VP for ATPPA, a precinct committeeman in LD 15 Quail Run Precinct, and ACT for America Chairman for Arizona, I submit the attached Referendum regarding Common Core for your immediate attention.
Thank you Mr. President for your attention and review of the attached.  I look forward to hearing your comments as your time permits.  -- Linda Brickman, Legislative Liaison VP for ATPPA, Precinct Committeeman in LD 15 Quail Run Precinct, ACT for America Chairman for Arizona   Cell phone: 602-330-9422

• The Arizona House Appropriations Committee will hear testimony from Gov. Jan Brewer’s office at 2 pm, March 20, as part of her push to expand Medicaid (AHCCCS) under ObamaCare. There is also a chance that the Medicaid expansion bill could be fast-tracked into the Appropriations Committee in time for Wednesday's hearing, according to Arizona Director Americans for Prosperity Tom Jenney.  The Appropriations Committee has the power to amend the Medicaid expansion bill to include a Prop 108 clause, which would require a two-thirds vote to pass the provider tax increase (mainly, hospital bed taxes) that would fund Arizona's portion of the expansion.  (To learn more about how the proposed Medicaid expansion would hurt the people proponents claims to want to help, click here.)
