·        Governor Jan Brewer Today Signed Into Law HB 2204, legislation that extends health insurance to the widowed spouses and dependents of Arizona peace officers, correctional officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty. The measure includes an emergency clause, so it takes effect immediately. Sponsored by Rep Bob Robson (R-District 20), HB 2204 is an extension of “Harrolle’s Law” – legislation signed by Brewer in 2010. Named in honor of Arizona DPS Officer Bruce Harrolle – who was killed during a search-and-rescue mission in 2008 – the law requires that agencies provide health benefits to surviving spouses and children for up to one year after the officer’s death. HB 2204 eliminates the one-year limit and extends coverage to the families of fallen firefighters and correctional officers. “We ask our officers and firefighters to perform extraordinary acts in the name of public safety. The least we can do is take care of their families if a tragedy strikes,” said Robson.

(YouTube video)  In a document called “The First Global Revolution”, authored by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider, on pg. 75, it is stated: 'In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. … All these dangers, of course, will be caused by human intervention that will require a global response.'

·        Brewer Establishes “National Day of the Cowboy”: Gov Jan Brewer Today Signed Into Law SB 1139, officially establishing an annual “National Day of the Cowboy” in Arizona on the fourth Saturday of July.   “Many of the blessings enjoyed by Arizonans today are because of the contributions of our Keepers of the Range: The Arizona cowboy and cowgirl. These men and women – of all races and backgrounds – are among the truest symbols of the American southwest,” said Brewer. A resolution designating a National Day of the Cowboy was originally passed by the US Senate in 2005. In 2008, Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords sponsored a bill for Cowboy Day. That same year, Arizona became the first state in the nation to pass a resolution – SCR 1046 – which was adopted unanimously by the Arizona Legislature. Legislators have designated a National Day of the Cowboy every year since, except 2010. With today’s signing by Governor Brewer, Arizona becomes the fourth state – following New Mexico, Wyoming and California – to establish this observance as a non-legal holiday.
