·        Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) issued the following statement regarding the confirmation from the U.S. Consulate that Yanira Maldonado has been released.  “I am absolutely thrilled to confirm that Yanira Maldonado has been released and is currently on her way back home to America with her family. I received encouraging reports from her husband Gary earlier today that her release looked promising and was constantly assured in my conversations with U.S. and Mexican officials that this situation would be resolved fairly and quickly. I am heartened that this was the case and Mrs. Maldonado is now coming home where she belongs.”
·        Friedman-V-Cave-Creek-Unified-School-District  This Week, The Arizona Supreme Court Sided With The Institute When It Denied The Cave Creek Unified School District’s Appeal In Our Ongoing Legal Fight, Thereby Affirming Our Lower Court Win And Bringing This Important Case To A Close With A Victory For Taxpayers That Will Have Broad Impact Across The Country. The Institute Represented Jayne Friedman, A Cave Creek Taxpayer, Who Was Troubled When The District Redirected Bond Money Approved By Voters To Fund Projects Voters Had Not Authorized. After We Prevailed Last Year In Superior Court, The District Appealed, And In March, The Court Of Appeals Ruled In A Unanimous Decision That The School District Had Violated The Terms Of The Bond Deal. Thanks To This Case Outcome, School Districts Can No Longer Use Bait-And-Switch Tactics In Which Voters Approve Bonding For Certain Uses And Then The District Diverts The Proceeds To Other Uses. This Is Important Because Taxpayers Are Ultimately On The Hook To Pay These Bonds. Today's Victory Greatly Enhances Protections For Taxpayers In Arizona And In The Thirty-Three Other States With Similar Constitutional Provisions. - Clint Bolick, Goldwater Institute

Morgan, who started the TARS Club at his high school, said, “ I've been concerned about the lack of interest shown by kids my age so I have decided to do something about it. I've started a Teenage Republicans club at my school and I am going to start encouraging my classmates to pay attention. This summer the AZ TARS are attending a leadership conference in Washington DC to learn leadership skills and also to learn about the political process. Part of that process is fund-raising for the trip  just as we would for a campaign and therefore I am asking you for your support. I need to raise 1200 dollars total so any contribution would help. Please help me make a difference.” Morgan is the son of LD22 Chairman Eric Morgan and his Heather.  Contact information:
