·       The United Republican Alliance Of Principled Conservatives (URAPC) is the official committee leading efforts to obtain enough signatures by Labor Day to put the “People’s Veto”  referendum of the November ballot to reverse the AZ Medicaid Expansion.  URAPC leadership consists of Christine Bauserman and former senators Ron Gould and Frank Antenori.  Bauserman cautions: “URAPC is the only organization that can submit petitions to the Secretary of State for this referendum,”  therefore, it is recommended that you follow only procedures and directives approved or disburst by URAPC.

o   The URAPC petition is filed with the Secretary Of State’s Office and URAPC petitions have R-01-2014 printed in the lower right-hand corner.

o   URAPC has not authorized any other organization to collect donations for URAPC petition signature gathering.

o   The signer must complete the entire line. Everything. Address, Zip Code, City, Date. Fill it out completely. This is a 2011 change to the law.  Circulators are now prohibited from completing the line for referendum petitions

o   All questions regarding petitions or  donations should go to Bauserman at 520-235-2234

o   To obtain petitions:

o   To volunteer: URAPC volunteer sign up

o   For information:

·       Lynne Breyer Needs Volunteers To Help Get URAPC Petition Signatures at the Thursday’s July 4th Celebration in Tempe . She needs as many volunteers as possible considering there will be an estimated 100,000 adults attending the event - all potentially registered voters and some candidates for precinct committeemen. Volunteers should meet at the corner of Mill Ave and Rio Salado Parkway at 6:30 pm. (one of the main entries at the SW corner of the Tempe Beach Park.)  Please bring a clip board, comfortable shoes and water. Contact Breyer at   My deepest thanks to everyone's tireless efforts in getting signatures. --J. LaFaro, Chairman, Maricopa County Republican Committee

·       Wanted-300-Spartans-To-Fight-Obamacare-In-Arizona  Tom Jenney, AZ Director of Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is looking for 300 volunteer “Grassroots Spartans” who will pledge to obtain 400 signatures before Sept. 1 for the URAPC referendum to get the Medicaid Expansion on the November ballot. Contact:  The person who collects the most signatures will be presented with the AFP ‘Leonidas Award’ in September.

·       Jenney Is Also Signing Up ‘Health Care Freedom Warriors’ who pledge to collect 105 signatures (seven sheets) between now and Labor Day.  They will be posted (names or pseudonyms!) of the Warriors in our Hall of Heroes. Contact:

·       ALERT: Flake/McCain Recall Petitions Removed From Site - Toward the bottom of the Recall Sen Jeff Flake web page a note reads: “I’ve just received notice that the state of Arizona wants the petition to be filed and reviewed with them before being circulated, and is instructing me to register as a political committee, and to file campaign finance reports (despite being a “one man show”).  “…Removing my petition and putting this on hold till I verify the state’s ”requests”.   senatorflake.recall

·       Wes Harris Has 5,000 Petitions Ready To Hit The Streets To “Overturn Rep Heather Carter’s HB 2003,” which has the potential of doubling school bond debt ceiling in every school district in the state. This bill was pushed forward mainly to fund Common Core for which funds were pulled from the Budget.  No funding, Common Core and PARCC is history,” according to Harris. Petitions are available on Face Book at We The People AZ or  or email to arrange to get petitions.  Harris urges those carrying URAPC petitions to also carry the “Overturn” petition and gather signatures for both petitions at the same time. Harris also suggests volunteers should carry Republican Voter Registration forms and recruit new precinct committeeman (PCs)  at the same time.

·       URAPC Is Reporting That A Group Labeled “Brewer Ruins Arizona Team” (BRATS) is circulating a paper entitled “Petition in Support of Health Care for Arizonans Who Need it Most” near URAPC petition carriers - in an attempt to confuse the public. BRATS have reportedly been spotted in Glendale and the East Valley in Maricopa County, and in Tucson, including Golf Links and Oro Valley Libraries. URAPC spokeswoman Christine Bauserman urges URAPC petition carriers to video BRATS, take their photos or record what they are saying and send the information to She urges, “DO NOT ENGAGE them. Do not risk invalidating your signatures. You may be engaging with a professional agitator who is attempting to get you on record saying something that will invalidate your efforts. What you can do. Make a sign with an error pointing at them with a catchy slogan like, “This person supports Obamacare.”  Or have your own sign “STOP Obamacare. Sign here.”

·       Statement From Senate President Andy Biggs And House Speaker Andy Tobin On Announced Plans To Protest Funerals Of Fallen Yarnell Firefighters  “Arizona is in a deep state of mourning over the loss of 19 of the finest young men ever to serve as emergency first responders. It is unthinkable that any group would choose to maliciously insert themselves into the narrative of this tragedy as family members of the fallen, the community, the people of our state and the entire nation are collectively attempting to heal from this loss. As an initial remedy to this, it would be a show of great solidarity with the fallen and their families if all leaders of American faith communities would openly repudiate any plan to disrupt the laying to rest of these fallen heroes. Despite the potential any one group or individual may have to taint this time of solemnity, reflection and prayer, the overwhelming support for the fallen and the affected communities is what will truly be remembered during this painful period in Arizona’s history. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for those whom have dedicated their time, efforts and prayers to the recovery and consolation of those most affected by this horrible event. Those works truly embody the genuine greatness that defines our community and our nation as one that perseveres and comes together in times of adversity.”

·       Steve Chucri, Maricopa County Board Of Supervisors #2: Independence Day is a time to celebrate our nation’s independence and remember the freedoms afforded to us by our Founding Fathers. Because of the sacrifices made by those before us, we enjoy the ability to live in real freedom and with real liberties. Our democracy continues to be a model for the world and let this Fourth of July celebration remind us how deeply fortunate we are as Americans to live in this great nation. As we celebrate with our families this Independence Day, we do not forget that our fellow Arizonans are suffering a loss as a result of the Yarnell Hill Fire. Let us never forget the sacrifices those firefighters made to keep our community safe. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July. - Steve Chucri, District 2 Maricopa County Board of Supervisors   602-506-7431
