9-7-13 MCRC Briefs

Maricopa County Republican Briefs
Sept 7, 2013
Just grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to remember the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.   – author unknown

·       There Is Lots Of Chatter Regarding The Short Notice The Public Had On Sen John McCain’s sudden, overnight called Town Halls in Phoenix, Tucson and Prescott this past week.  Even with the short notice, people who became aware and did attend were plenty vocal.  Briefs has confirmed reports that that McCain’s office didn’t bother to notify AZGOP Robert Graham, nor Maricopa County Republican Committee Chairman AJ LaFaro. Now if that isn’t a slap in the face of two top Arizona GOP elected officials.  Surprise, surprise - few county, legislative district chairman and precinct committee weren’t aware in time to go either... You know those folks who are expected to whip up the troops to walk the streets and get out the vote to get him elected to his esteemed office. Such arrogance is wearing very thin with Grassroots party works.

·       ATTN Gun Show Attendees:  Reports are coming in that the Governor’s office ordered the coliseum staff to place the URAPC (anti-Medicaid Expansion aka Obamacare) petitions gatherers to the north side of the coliseum parking lot – instead of the near the south side entrance where the attendees enter the gun show.  If you want to sign the URAPC petitions on Sept 8, you’ll probably find the petition table set up on the north side of the coliseum. See other locations throughout the state listed below in green highlight.

·       The Governor's Team, Aka "Restoring Arizona" has reportedly received contributions totaling $364,000 to be used to stop URAPC from gathering enough petitions to get the Medicaid Expansion on the ballot.

·       Last Minute URAPC Petitions Can Be Hand Delivered To:

·       URAPC Chairman Christine Bauserman is asking that petitions gatherers can help the counting effort by :
ü  Please take a pen and 'x' through any empty spots on the petitions.
ü  Verify you put the county on the top of the petition.  This is the very last item in the wording before the wording.
ü  Check "volunteer".
ü  Put counties together and then group "10's", "9's", etc.
