This grant will help Arizona in our continued mission to properly honor those who have nobly served and sacrificed on our country’s behalf. I thank the Kai Family Foundation for graciously donating this land, as well as everyone involved in this important effort.”

The $7.6 million, provided in a grant from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, will fully fund construction of the project, expected to cover 32 acres of donated land and have an operating life of 50 years.

The initial phase of construction will span an estimated 7-10 acres and will provide in-ground burials, columbarium and in-ground cremated remains burials. It also will include an administration building, maintenance building, assembly area, committal shelter and parking. Construction is scheduled to begin July 2014 and is expected to be completed October 2015.

·        Obama’s Outrageous Debt Ceiling Plan

Robert Graham, Chairman Of The Arizona Republican Party, announced today that the party's social media presence has surpassed that of the state Democrats, citing benchmark numbers commonly used to measure influence and popularity with social media users. "We've been steadily growing our presence on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, and we've recently ramped up and have now surpassed the Democrats by about ten percent," said Graham.  "These are measurements of the growing impact we're having with voters, especially young voters who are increasingly forming their political opinions through information they gather through social media."
Graham attributed the management of the growth to Mark Naufel, Director of New Media, who is responsible for the state party's presence on social media platforms.  Naufel will receive his degree from Arizona State University next month and begin working full-time at the party to help elect Republicans in 2014. "Mark knows how important it is for young people to get the information they need to make the important decisions that will affect their future more than anyone's.  And his experience as President of the ASU Student Body shows that he's got the qualities our party needs to lead the way to victory next November," Graham added. "The conservative message gets too little attention from the liberal mainstream media, so we're bypassing them and communicating directly with young voters, and they're loving it." At the time of this release, the
AZGOP Facebook Page had 10,198 "likes" vs. 8,887 for the Democrats and the AZGOP Twitter Account
had 6,111 followers vs. the Democrat's 5,558.
