·        Arizona Will Recognize “Vulture Mine Day” On Jan 5 to commemorate the mine that Henry Wickenburg founded and turned into Arizona’s largest gold-producing mine to date. The AZ legislator passed HCR2007 in 2012 to recognize Vulture Mine Day as an un-paid holiday. The Vulture Mine Preservation and Restoration Association runs the site as a hiking museum.  To tour the mine take US60 (Grand Ave) through Wickenburg to Vulture Mine Road, turn left and go about 25 miles. (Between milepost 15 and 14 on Vulture Mine Road, 36610 N 355th Ave.

·        The Dedication Of Arizona State Day In Recognition Of Henry Wickenburg – Founder Of The Vulture Mine And Acknowledgement Of LD22 Sen. Judy Burges, Former LD4 Sen. ·        Expansion Of State's School-Voucher System Takes Effect   According to Clint Bolick of the Goldwater Institute: This program is the first of its kind and a model for the nation. The program was challenged in court by the Arizona School Boards Association (your tax dollars at work!), and the Goldwater Institute has been defending the program. Last year, the program was upheld by the Maricopa County Superior Court. Round Two will take place on Feb. 13 at 9:30 am in the Arizona Court of Appeals, 1501 W. Washington St., Phx.
