·        Rep. David Schweikert will chair the first subcommittee hearing of this Congress on the ‘JOBS’ Act on Thursday. This Small Business Subcommittee hearing will be the first Congressional oversight of the law since all of the rule promulgation deadlines came and went without final SEC action. The ‘JOBS’ Act, including several bills authored by Rep. Schweikert, aims to boost IPOs and create capital formation opportunities for small businesses that desperately need it. Unfortunately, this capital -- along with economic certainty and the jobs both will create -- is still being held on the sidelines because a year later the SEC has yet to release the ground rules. Schweikert will address this delay before a panel of SEC witnesses as well as a panel of small business owners and investors on Thursday. He voiced his frustration earlier last week and in this story below.  Politico: Slow-moving SEC blamed for blocking JOBS Act
·        Today, Chairman Matt Salmon (AZ-05), Ranking Member Albio Sires (NJ-08), and Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-06) of the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs sent a letter to Shawn Carter and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter regarding their recent trip to Cuba. The letter highlights several recent abuses imposed by the Castro regime on the Cuban people, including the wrongful imprisonment of Alan Gross, violence against women, and persecution of political opponents and freedom seekers. The following quotes were released, along with the full text of the letter:
“I was exceedingly disappointed this superstar couple would use the power of their notoriety to seemingly condone this brutal regime.  Every year, thousands of Cubans flee the oppression of the Castro government at great personal risk to themselves. I wish Jay-Z and Beyoncé would have taken a moment to realize that their vacation would be used by the Castro regime as a propaganda tool. They had a prime opportunity to stand up for human rights and freedom in a regime that stones women who seek the right to free speech.  I hope they will change their tune and support the people of Cuba.” —Chairman Matt Salmon (AZ-05)    A link to the signed letter is found here.  Chairman Matt Salmon (AZ-05) serves on the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere along with Ranking Member Albio Sires (NJ-0) and Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-06). This subcommittee has jurisdiction, among many, over matters affecting the political relations between the United States and other countries and regions, including Cuba. ·        A Senate Committee On Government And The Environment Hearing is scheduled from 9 am until noon, for April 11 Hearing Room #3 in the Arizona Senate. The committee will receive testimony from individuals who have first-hand knowledge and experience addressing the effects of Agenda-21 on Arizona  ranchers and farms, as well as any “heavy-handed” actions by the EPA. Some of the focus will also be on the costs incurred and the negative impact on cities and towns and county’s by the actions associated with Agenda-21 and the EPA who is part of the enforcement arm to carry-out Agenda-21 policy.
·        After Today's Introduction Of H.R. 1410, The Keep The Promise Act, a bipartisan bill that would prevent any additional casinos in the Phoenix Metro area, Congressman Trent Franks and other members of the Arizona Congressional delegation released the following statements:
Ø  Congressman Trent Franks (AZ-08) said, "When Arizona's gaming compact was voted into law, both the voters and tribes of Arizona were promised one thing, while ultimately receiving something else entirely. This bill is not about a vendetta. Nor is it about ending gaming in Arizona. It is, very specifically, about ensuring that the limits on casinos specifically promised back in 2002 during debate on Proposition 202 are realized."
Ø  Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ-04) added, "I am happy to join Congressman Franks in protecting our state's gaming compact. The proposed casino would have serious ramifications for the future of the industry and our local tribes.  I will continue to work towards a solution that protects the compact’s integrity while preserving individual tribal rights."
Ø  According to Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06), “The Arizona state gaming compact is more than just an agreement, it is a contract between the tribes and Arizona voters. This bill ensures that this contract is upheld.”

·        Congress Repeating The Second Basic Law Of Stupidity by Frosty Wooldridge As you read in the First Basic Law of Stupidity, our U.S. Congress works on yet another mass amnesty for 20 million illegal alien migrants now working and residing in our country in violation of dozens of our laws. Notice that Congress failed to enforce the employment laws from the 1965 Immigration Reform Law as well as the 1986 Amnesty that gave four million Mexicans instant citizenship........
