·        United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives (URAPC) Forms To Stop Obamacare In Arizona. The "People's Veto" petitions will be available after Governor Jan Brewer signs the Medicaid Expansion bill in accordance with the Arizona State Constitution. http://urapc.org/Home_Page.html   Last week former Arizona State Senators Frank Antenori and Ron Gould formed “The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives”  Committee (URAPC) for the purpose of stopping Obamacare and its associated Tax on hospital stays. Defeating Gov Jan Brewer’s legislation must be referred to the ballot to be vetoed by the people of Arizona. If the AZ House passes the Obrewercare Budget, the moment the Legislature gavels out, this Petition Drive will be filed.  URAPC will have 90 days to gather 84,000 necessary signatures( shooting for 110,000).  Any Arizona registered voter can sign the petition. http://urapc.org/Home_Page.html

·        AZ Secretary Of State Ken Bennett Will Testify Before The U.S. Committee on House Administration at 11 am , June 4 “H.R. 2115, The Voter Registration Efficiency Act” Hearing. ·        Own an AR and looking for ammo?  A long time AZ Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) life member has donated a case (1,000 rounds) of British 5.56 mm ammunition, produced at their Radway Green plant in March 1998.  This case is still sealed and has never been opened. AzCDL is raffling off this case of ammo.  Tickets are $10 each.  Only 500 tickets will be sold.Tickets can be purchased at AzCDL’s online store: http://www.azcdl.org/html/online_store.html . The winning ticket will be drawn when all tickets are sold.The winner does not have to be present to win.  However, the winner must comply with all federal, state, and local laws where they reside.  If the winner does not qualify under federal, state, or local law for the possession of this ammunition, their ticket is invalid and a new winner will be drawn.Additionally, the winner must physically retrieve this case of ammunition from an AzCDL representative in Tucson within 30 days of being notified; otherwise a new winner will be drawn.

·        Members Of The 91st Civil Support Team From The Arizona National Guard, will conduct a 3-day exercise near Show Low, from June 4 to 6. This exercise is a multi-CST and agency event, which will include the 83rd CST from Montana, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Department and Emergency Management Office, Summit Regional Hospital, police and fire departments from Show Low, Snowflake, Taylor, and Pine Top, and several other federal agencies.  The purpose of the exercise is to ensure regional readiness in the event of a chemical, biological or radiological exposure emergency
·        The Number Of Deaths In Motor-Vehicle Crashes Across The State Went Down slightly in 2012, according to annual statistics released by the Arizona Department of Transportation. Meanwhile, motorcycle-related fatalities increased by more than five percent last year.
Ø  An analysis of law enforcement reports shows 823 people lost their lives in crashes on state and local roadways in Arizona in 2012, compared to 827 fatalities in 2011.
Ø  ADOT's 2012 Motor Vehicle Crash Facts report also shows 139 motorcycle riders or passengers were killed last year, an increase of 5.3 percent when compared to 132 motorcycle-related deaths across the state in 2011.
Other figures from ADOT's 2012 Arizona Crash Facts report include:
Ø  There were 103,176 total crashes recorded in 2012 (down 0.58 percent compared to 103,774 crashes in 2011)
Ø  One person was killed in a motor vehicle-related crash every 10.65 hours
Ø  Crashes with injuries accounted for 32 percent of all crashes, while 67 percent of all crashes were listed as “property damage only”
Ø  Pedestrian fatalities decreased by 14 percent (132 deaths in 2012 compared to 154 in 2011)
Ø  72.5 percent of all crashes occurred during daylight hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Ø  Alcohol-related fatalities decreased by 2 percent (281 deaths in 2012 compared to 287 in 2011)
"Our law enforcement agencies around the state worked even harder last year to take impaired drivers off the road," said Alberto Gutier, director of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. "Our mission will not end until we eliminate the tragedies caused by drivers who refuse to abide by our stricter laws. We also need all drivers to do the right things: buckle up, obey speed limits, don't drive while drowsy, and don't become distracted by cell phone calls and texting."
Motor vehicle crashes also created economic losses approaching $3 billion in Arizona last year. Economic losses tied to fatalities, including wage and productivity losses, totaled $1.2 billion, while losses from property damage added up to more than $640 million.The ADOT 2012 Arizona Crash Facts report is available at www.azdot.gov/mvd/statistics/crash/PDF/12crashfacts.pdf.
