·       Nov 5, 2013 Election Results Maricopa County Recorder's Office Election Results


·       Brewer-To-Lead-Trade-Mission-To-Taiwan   to promote Arizona businesses, build trade relations and encourage tourism.


·       Gov Jan Brewer Has Appointed D. Douglas Metcalf to the Pima County Superior Court. Metcalf has been a partner with the law firm of Lewis and Roca since 2000.Metcalf received the Outstanding Attorney Award from the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division (1993) and is rated as an AV Preeminent Lawyer by Martindale Hubbell, a peer ranking of the highest professional excellence. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Iowa (1985), graduated from Drake University Law School (1987) and earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University (1991). Metcalf fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Howard Hantman.


·       Secretary Of State Ken Bennett will address the  9 am, Nov 16 Sun City Grand Republican Interest Group at 19781 N. Remington Dr. Chaparral Center - Hopi Room. ·       House Speaker Andy Tobin will be traveling throughout Gila and Navajo Counties today discussing  ObamaCare and his AZ-CD01 Campaign.


·       The Association For Construction Career Development is hosting the Arizona Construction Career Days (AZCCD) from 8 - 10 am, Nov. 7 at the Papago Park Military Reservation to introduce high school students to careers in the construction industry and support the pipeline that will provide the professionals of tomorrow. Speakers include The Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. Michael T. McGuire for the Arizona National Guard and  Supt of Public Education John Huppenthal.


·       House Speaker Andy Tobin will address the Graham County Republican Committee at noon, Nov 8 in the Manor House lounge, 415 E. US Highway 70, Safford.


·       Alan Muller (D), President of the New River/Desert Hills Community Association, was appointed to the Maricopa County  Planning And Zoning Commission *(District 3) for a four-year term by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Muller replaced Dick Smith who retired after serving from 1997 to 2013.


·       Five-Man Slate MCRC EGC For Members-At-Large election at the January 2014 mandatory county GOP meeting announced. The candidates are:

ü  LD17 PC Daniel J. Schultz: Incumbent MCRC EGC MAL. Veteran, West Point Graduate, and co-founder of the Lawyer’s Second Amendment Society.   

ü  LD19 PC Joseph “Joe” Hobbs: Incumbent two-term MCRC EGC MAL.  Garnered 90,000 votes in an 8-way state-wide primary for Arizona Corporation Commission.

ü  LD27 PC Andrew Costanzo:Lifetime NRA member, aggressively recruits conservative precinct committeemen.

ü  LD18 PC Captain Gary Johnson: Past LD17 area coordinator, co-founder of the Tempe Tea Party, recruited 35 conservative precinct committeemen, attends monthly EGC meetings, engineering project manager.

ü  LD20 PC Ray Sweeney: Former Marine, Vietnam veteran, political science/prelaw degree, worked on several local campaigns. Strong advocate for state rights and limited federal government.

·       The City Of Phoenix On Nov. 9 Will Unveil A Major New Trail Access Point and dedicate the Skip Rimsza Paseo in the Sonoran Desert Preserve, that will make it easier for residents to enjoy the newest jewel in the city’s far-reaching desert preserve system.
