·       The National Federation Of Republican Women (NFRW) is keeping tabs on female candidates running for Congress in 2014. Here are the NFRW highlights on two Arizona Republican candidates:

ü  Martha McSally, District 2. Martha is an Air Force veteran who ran for Congress and lost in 2012 to Rep. Ron Barber by less than a percentage point. This is Rep. Gabby Gifford's previous seat. Martha will likely win the Republican primary on August 26, 2014 and has a decent chance of snatching the seat from Barber considering how close she came last time.

ü  Wendy Rogers, District 9. This district tends Democratic and Wendy will be fighting Democrat incumbent Kyrsten Sinema if she wins the primary. To do this, Wendy would have to win the primary over Vernon Parker, who was the 2012 Republican nominee for Congress in Arizona 9. Former NFL quarterback Andrew Walter is also a contender in the Republican primary.

·       Arizona Congressman Trent Franks, Chairman Of The Congressional Israel Allies Caucus, today announced the introduction of the Israel Sovereignty and Security Recognition Act (ISSRA). The bill recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital and the Golan Heights as Israel's sovereign land, recommends selling or repurposing the current embassy in Tel Aviv in favor of an existing location in Jerusalem, and repeals the 1995 Presidential waiver in Section 7 of the Jerusalem Embassy Act, which successive Administrations have used to postpone just such a relocation from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The initiative has drawn bipartisan support. Primary sponsors of the legislation include Representative Doug Lamborn (R-CO), Representative Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Representative Gene Green (R-TX), and Representative Mike McIntyre (R-NC).
