·       McCain Mum On County GOP 'Censure'   U.S. Sen. John McCain and his office are not commenting on the Maricopa County Republican Party’s Jan. 11 decision to “censure” him for what GOP activists deemed his “long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats.”

·       Volunteers Needed: Republican Precinct Committeemen Or State Committee Are Needed To Collect Signatures Of Co-sponsors For The “Resolution To Censure Sen. John McCain” petition prior to the opening of the Arizona GOP State Mandatory meeting scheduled at 9 am, Jan 25 at the at Grace Community Church, 1200 E Southern Ave, Tempe, 85282.  To comply with the AZ GOP Bylaws at least 20% of the delegates (in person) representing at least four counties must sign the (resolution) petition for it to be presented from the floor for a vote of the assembled delegates. The resolution will be presented by LD30 Chairman Timothy Schwartz who authored the original resolution that passed overwhelmingly by the Maricopa County Republican precinct committeemen at their Jan 11 mandatory meeting. Apache, Mohave and Cochise GOP PCs have passed similar resolutions.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 6:30 am, (prior to the start of credentialing) in the guest parking area near the Connection Center/Lamb Chapel along the north wall of the church parking lot for material distribution and instructions.  Please bring a clipboard and pens. Early morning lighting may be limited, so a clip-on lamp or a flashlight for your clipboard may also be a good idea. Those interested in volunteering should contact MCRC EGC Member-at-Large Andrew Costanzo at  as soon as possible.


·       City Of Phoenix Offices Will Be Closed Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.


·       Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is holding a networking meeting and phonebank training session for veterans, patriots, and concerned Americans at 5:30 pm, Jan 23 at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. ·       Volunteers are needed to help Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) “Cut Debt, Not Vets” petition campaign that encourages Congress and the President to pass real fiscal reform and not spending deals that actually increase the size of government and cut veteran benefits (like the one recently passed by Congress and signed by the President). ·       New AZGOP Officers Will Elected To The Following Offices during the Jan 25 AZGOP Mandatory meeting scheduled at the Grace Community Church, 1200 E. Southern, in Tempe.  State Committeemen will vote on First, Second and Third Vice Chairmen, Assistant Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms, and Assistant Sergeant-at Arms.

·       Diane Ortiz-Parsons is a candidate for Third Vice-Chairman of the Arizona GOP. She is the current Congressional District 9 Member-At- Large, former First Vice Chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Committee and is a 30-year Precinct Committeeman. ·       Incumbent Alberto Gutier Is Running For Re-Election As The Sergeant-At-Arms For The AZ GOP during the Jan 25 meeting.  Gutier is a seven term incumbent Member-At -Large and current Sgt-At Arms of the GOP Exec Board.  He is a 42 year precinct committee, a six-term Maricopa County GOP EGC official, a 40 year State Committeeman, and an elected five-time delegate to the GOP National Conventions.  Gutier has worked for five Republican Governors and fought former Gov. Janet Napolitano for years as a panelist on Channel 12 “Sunday Square Off’.  Gutier is a Cuban born operative who fought for the US against Communism and came to America as a “permanent legal resident” in 1960.  He and his wife of 53 years became “proud” US Citizens in 1966.  Contact:
