·       Heartfelt Thanks From Chairman LaFaro:  I want to express my deepest appreciation to all the volunteers that made the 2014 MCRC Lincoln Day Luncheon the most successful in the history of Maricopa County.  It's my honor to be associated with so many hardworking and dedicated people. I have asked April Riggins, the Lead Co-Chair of the Event, to get me a list of all the volunteers so we can recognize them in an upcoming issue of the
MCRC Briefs.
Below are a few of the heart-warming comments I have received so far:

·       "The most successful MCRC Lincoln Day Luncheon in the history of Maricopa County.

·       428 attendees and feedback to the effect best Lincoln Day Luncheon Program ever."

·       "Kudos to you!  Greatest luncheon ever.  You were outstanding.  We know you spent a lot of time planning and organizing, and it paid off!"

·       "It was a public relations success for sure and showcasing the Center for Self Governance was the biggest win our party has had since Arizona became a state."

·       "Thank you for a great event. It reflects all the hard work put into it."

·       "It was a terrific turn out and the program was quick keeping everyone engaged. This is a good start of which will be a victorious year for the Republicans."

·       "I have been told by many people that the MCRC Lincoln Day Dinner was the ‘BEST EVER’!  That is high praise indeed.”   - MCRC Chairman A J LaFaro

·       The Arizona Chapter of Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) would like to thank Congressman Matt Salmon for co-sponsoring HR 4031, the VA Management Accountability Act. This important piece of legislation will help rid the VA of senior-level managers that have consistently neglected and failed in their mission to serve our nation’s veterans. Throughout his career as both an elected official and private citizen, Congressman Salmon has consistently fought for our veterans and servicemen and women. Whether it was ensuring that our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan had adequate body armor as a President of ArmorWorks or co-sponsoring legislation to hold the VA accountable for its failures, Congressman Salmon has repeatedly demonstrated that protecting our nation’s veterans and service members is one of his top priorities.  - Dan Caldwell,  Concerned Veterans for America   602-999-0888.

·       Editor’s Note:  It has been brought to my attention that some folks do not know the meaning of RSVP on some of the event announcements.  RSVP means respond with a yes or no answer to the host or hostesses so they know how many guests to prepare for. A long time ago a RSVP was strictly adhered too.  Unfortunately, over the years many aspects of good manners have gone by the wayside.  Please, as a common courtesy, if you see a RSVP request, contact the host/hostesses several days in advance. It makes event preparation much easier for them.
