·       CD9 Candidate Andrew Walter called for Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema (D) to refund contributions collected in response to an email relating to the deaths of up to 40 Veterans due to wait times at the Phoenix V.A. Hospital.  Regarding the email, Walter stated “This is the ugliest display of political opportunism I have witnessed in a very long time.  I am disgusted that Congresswoman Sinema thinks it’s appropriate to use the tragic and avoidable loss of Veterans’ lives as a tool to fundraise for her reelection.”  The email which Walter referred to was sent by Kyrsten Sinema and included tools for capturing contact information and donating to her campaign to “help veterans and their families get the answers they deserve.” Walter continued, “Seeking to further one’s political ambitions by using tragedy and heartbreak is not leadership, it’s revealing of a selfish mindset.  Arizonans are tired of this type of behavior.  I’m calling on Kyrsten Sinema to apologize to the families who lost loved ones at the Phoenix V.A. Hospital.  I’m also calling on Sinema to refund all the contributions collected from her email appeal and match the refunds with a donation to a charitable organization that serves Veterans, such as Veterans Tickets Foundation. My heart goes out to the families of the veterans who tragically lost their lives due to the avoidable circumstances surrounding the Phoenix V.A. Hospital.  I’ve been carefully following the news regarding the investigation into the V.A. and I believe major crises like this should be handled with earnest resolve in a pursuit of truth.  Tragedies like the Phoenix V.A. Hospital should not be politicized, ever.”

·       CD2 Martha McSally: Tuesday, the national publication Roll Call named Ron Barber one of the 10 most vulnerable incumbents in the country! This is a big deal, and it couldn't have happened without your hard work. Here's what Roll Call had to say: "Republicans argue that the stars are finally aligning for them in the 2nd District, and the party's recent internal polling showed a deadlocked race. For the first time since 2006, the GOP has a quality candidate, retired Air Force Col. Martha McSally, a seemingly favorable political climate and a willingness to spend in the district." Let's keep this momentum going!

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Frank Riggs:  Our campaign grows stronger every day, inspiring conservatives across Arizona. That's why I've been called the "wildcard" in the race and the "darkhorse trending up" in media reports over the past two weeks! My opponents? Not so much...I'm the only candidate with momentum as people learn more about me and my deep, proven record as a conservative leader and reformer. From cop to Congress to charter school leader, I've shown the courage to take on the entrenched special interests! I'm running for Governor because I'm the candidate who can stand toe-to-toe with the Obama Administration. We're Arizonans and we'll do what's right for Arizona, not what east coast liberal elites tell us to do! The press has deemed this race "wide open." I will be a warrior for our shared values of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, free markets and personal responsibility.

And we have just gotten started... Please come join us for our campaign headquarters grand opening! (520) 488-4610

·       CD1 Candidate Andy Tobin:  It's no surprise that Democrats are attacking me. They will do everything they can to shut down anyone who seeks the truth about Benghazi. For 20 months, Democrats like Ann Kirkpatrick, Nancy Pelosi and those in the White House have done everything possible to hide the truth about Benghazi. Now, we may finally start getting to the bottom of this scandal--but no thanks to Ann Kirkpatrick. Where is her outrage? Where is her courage to stand up to this Administration?! Just as disappointing is when Republicans, like one of my primary opponents, are so quick to cave and take up the cause of left-wing Democrats. Rather than attacking me, the right thing to do is join me in fighting back. I've been here before. I'm the only battle-tested conservative in this race and I will never shrink from fighting for what’s right. my website

·        CD2 Candidate Wendy Rogers: Phoenix VA represents the perfect storm.  Over the years, northern tier veterans increasingly have moved south to use the Phoenix VA.  However, today’s patient load is based on a 2-year look-back funding model which is seriously flawed.  Phoenix VA’s rolls also have increased due to a sagging economy, as well as flight from Medicare and Obamacare.  Every one of these trends presented red flags, yet the leadership ignored them.  Consequently, brave veterans have died due to broken promises. “Relieved of Command” is the phrase which best describes what should happen to the Secretary of the VA down to the multi-department leadership at the Phoenix VA Hospital. Being responsible for the lives of others means the person in charge bears full accountability for lost lives.  We in the military operate under that principle, as must the leadership of the VA.  This in fact is why the American Legion, with whom I agree, has called for the Secretary of the VA to resign. With quick, decisive action, we can fix the problems with the Phoenix VA to ensure our veterans have access to healthcare.  Over time, we can make long-term fixes.  This is what we do, because we are America.

·       Gubernatorial candidate Frank Riggs says: "I have the most extensive voting record on pro-life issues and am the only candidate for Governor who, as a U.S. Congressman, has voted on federal issues of priority to the pro-life movement.  As a three-term U.S. Congressman, I voted:

·       For the Hyde Amendment to ban federal funding for abortion on demand;

·       To prohibit abortions at medical facilities on federal military installations;

·       To ban the abhorrent practice of Partial Birth Abortion;

·       To defend traditional marriage (The Defense of Marriage Act);

·       For the Adoption Tax Credit and the Dependent Child Tax Credit."

Riggs continued, “I believe in the dignity, worth and purpose of every life.  Government has no greater responsibility than to protect the sanctity of life from conception to natural death, especially life in the womb.  I also support the ‘conscience clause’ allowing a business owner or medical provider to refuse to provide abortion-related services, as mandated by Obamacare, based on moral and religious beliefs. I'm the only candidate running for Governor with a proven pro-life, pro-family voting record on federal issues of priority to Arizonans," Riggs concluded.

·       Senator John McCain:  “Yesterday, I spoke with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, who committed to me that cattle inspections in Agua Prieta, Sonora, will resume by May 19, 2014. Over the past four months, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has banned their cattle inspectors from traveling to Agua Prieta, Mexico, to process cattle en route to Douglas, Arizona. The inspection moratorium has had a significantly negative economic impact on Arizona’s cattle industry. I recognize that APHIS must carefully balance the agriculture interest of the United States with the safety of its inspectors working abroad, and I am pleased that the Secretary has indicated he is taking measures to enhance security for inspectors traveling to Agua Prieta so that cattle crossings will resume as indicated.”
