WHAT CANDIDATES ARE SAYING:

·       ATTENTION CANDIDATES:  Please confine your statements to no more than 250 words.  If they run longer, they will be edited.

·       LD30 House Candidate Michael Aaron: This election is about you.  I am an Eagle Scout, running to restore family first values for Arizona. The people of Arizona deserve their voice in the legislative process.  Education, health care & economic development are my priorities.  The middle class needs an advocate. Veterans deserve better as do our teachers & first responders.  As a servant leader I will only represent your interests & fight to protect your Constitutional rights from government intrusion.  The role of government is to secure the rights of the individual, and I will stand up against big government regulation, intimidating taxes & toxic bureaucrats who want to control your life, including the Federal Government.  Arizonans know that effective public policy begins with the people in mind, not a special interest group. Choose the right candidate who is honest, wise & good.  I am running for only one - 1 term.  I want to help the people with common sense policies to protect everyone, not just a select few.  Like me on Facebook @ www.facebook.com/gidwaniazhouse  Thank you for your trusted support.

·       LD28 Candidate Mary Hamway: “The recent CPS fiasco is just one example of a state government that fails us far too often. I support the steps taken by Governor Brewer and the Arizona Legislature to overhaul CPS, but we must have a state government that is more efficient, transparent and accountable to avoid a bad situation like this from happening again. As State Representative, I will support policies that focus on streamlining and consolidating government processes, expanding the use of technology and lessening the grip state government has on resources and programs that local governments can manage better. Additionally, I will work to ensure that we have a structurally balanced budget and continue to grow the Rainy Day Fund to protect us against revenue shortfalls. The bottom line: state government should be a facilitator to success, not a roadblock to progress. I am fully committed to improving fiscal responsibility and accountability in state government.”

·       CD2 Congressional Candidate Chuck Wooten is calling for a debate with primary challengers Martha McSally and Shelly Kais, after a Pima County Superior Court judge dismissed a court case filed by McSally campaign operatives Shaun McClusky and Lori Oien. Wooten today defended himself in court against allegations that he filed an insufficient signatures to appear on the primary election ballot. Judge Gus Aragon granted Wooten's motion to dismiss and restored nearly 450 challenged signatures to his total - which was hundreds in excess of the minimum amount needed to qualify for the ballot. Wooten said: "I'm delighted with the outcome of today's proceedings. It was the only outcome that could have happened, based on my opponents failed attempt to re-write State law. I'm equally disappointed in the McSally camp's waste of taxpayer dollars. The political gain my opponents expected did not happen;  the entire affair resulted in a colossal waste. I suppose this behavior is what citizens of CD2 can expect if she were to be elected--wasting government money and other resources for personal gain. I hope the voters pay attention to this. I believe the voters have a right to know the truth behind this baseless attack. McSally should come clean, admit she was behind the suit and apologize to our taxpayers for wasting their money. I'm appalled in my opponents who took this path in attempting to discredit me and challenge my integrity. As a Chief Master Sergeant, I am held to a much higher standard and today's outcome is a direct reflection of the truth as it's applied to our law. Should my opponents desire to drop the Chicago-style antics worthy of the Obama administration, I will gladly meet them in a debate on the issues. Political garbage, such as this lawsuit is precisely what the people of District 2 are fed up with...and so am I."

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Ducey: Great news on the campaign trail today! Due to your help and continued support, I’m excited to announce the launch of my third TV ad today. This ad focuses on my experience as CEO of Cold Stone Creamery and how I'll apply that experience as governor. Together with a few friends, we grew Cold Stone Creamery starting from just a handful of stores in Arizona. Today, it is a global brand with more than 1,000 stores in the U.S. and across the globe. We built Cold Stone into an American success story, and I will use the same principles to grow and guide the state of Arizona.I’m encouraged by the positive feedback we've received on the campaign trail, and the momentum just keeps building. Early voting is approaching quickly, and we'd like you to join Team Ducey. If you haven’t yet, take a look at my other two ads, “Direct Message” and “Plan,” or go to my website, www.dougducey.com, to read my plan for Arizona, the Roadmap for Opportunity and Freedom, which spells out exactly what I plan to accomplish as governor. Please take 30 seconds to watch my new ad and share it with friends and family members

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Frank Riggs: In late January, I became a candidate for Arizona Governor. The campaign is going great and I'm the clear conservative choice in a crowded Republican primary field. Do you want to know why I'm running to be the next Governor of Arizona? I am running because I'm the only candidate with the bold ideas and strong leadership to shake up state government and clean up the fiscal mess. There is too much at stake to roll the dice. We must defeat Common Core. We must repeal Medicaid expansion and Obamacare. We must secure our border and stop the flow of taxpayer dollars to the corrupt Mexican government. And we must stand together to stop the Obamanization of Arizona. I proudly served in the United States Army, the United States Congress, and as the leader of businesses and non-profits across Arizona and the nation. I have the experience and record to be effective, and I'm ready to serve. It's for these reasons that the Washington Post has called me the "wildcard" in this race. Arizonans are ready for a proven, conservative leader who has a record to back up their promises -- not more empty rhetoric. Together, we can win this election. http://riggsforazgov.com As we travel Arizona, we continue to meet voters who are ready to take a stand against the ever-expanding federal government. I believe that the decisions that are best for Arizonans should be made by Arizonans, not bureaucrats thousands of miles away. Let's take a stand and turn this wildcard campaign into a victor on Election Day.

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Scott Smith today highlighted his track record of reducing crime and fighting illegal immigration as Mayor of Mesa. Mesa was recently rated by the FBI as the third safest big city in the country and saw major crime drop to a 40-year low. Smith credited the reduction in crime to an intense focus on efficiency, broad reforms, and focused and dedicated law enforcement professionals."Creating safe communities in Mesa is a top priority for our residents and as Mayor, I fought for tough, effective and fair law enforcement policies that brought major crime down to a 40-year low in Mesa. By focusing on efficiency and implementing extensive enforcement reforms to deal with career criminals and illegal immigration, we were able to make Mesa a safer city and raise the quality of life for our families." Under Smith's leadership, Mesa was the first city in Arizona to train every sworn officer in immigration enforcement. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were embedded within the Mesa police force, city jail personnel were 287(g) trained, and the immigration status was checked for every person arrested. The City implemented these reforms nearly two years prior to the passage of SB1070. Mesa implemented the reforms using a balanced approach that prioritized public safety with immigration enforcement while protecting basic rights. The Mesa policies were broadly supported and were never challenged in the court of law. Smith added, "As Governor, I'll work with the legislature and both state and local law enforcement to get the resources needed to successfully fight crime and illegal immigration."

·       CD1 Candidate Andy Kwasman: Last week I faced my two primary challengers in a televised debate. The voters should know the truth about someone's record before casting their ballots, so we have put together a Fact Check of some of the more important issues this year. Please scroll down to read the real record of Andy Tobin.

FACT 1: Andy Tobin wrote his own bill to expand Medicaid in Arizona. Go to the 18:55 point in the video to see Tobin deny on TV that he wrote a bill to expand Medicaid and then read this news article about Andy Tobin's plan to expand Medicaid.

FACT 2: Tobin Voted For Common Core. At the 14:50 point in the video, watch Tobin deny voting for Common Core. Click on this link to read about the HB 2047 which would have paved the way for Common Core and PARCC testing in Arizona. (Click here to read a summary of the bill and go to this link to see the actual vote.)

FACT 3: Tobin does not live in District 1. When the debate moderator asks each candidate why they want to run for Congress in District 1, Tobin omits the fact that he doesn't even live in the district. Read this recent news article that highlights the hypocrisy of Tobin's current campaign - "Tobin was among Gosar's fiercest critics when the congressman switched districts during the 2012 race. "The FACT is Andy Tobin is not being honest with the voters, and he does not deserve to be sent to Washington.”
Thank you for your support and for working to keep our country great!

As of 2013, DHS had 260 million rounds of ammo in stock, which averages out to between 1,300 to 1,600 rounds per officer. The US Army, in contrast, has roughly 350 rounds per soldier. DHS has since requisitioned more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammo, ‘enough,’ concludes Forbes magazine, ‘to sustain a hot war for 20+ years.’......
