·       ATTENTION CANDIDATES:  Please confine your statements to no more than 250 words.  If they run longer, they will be edited.

·       LD13 Senate Incumbent Don Shooter: Saying that “The Farmer campaign’s victims deserve to know the truth about Toby Farmer’s forged signatures,” State Senator Don Shooter called upon Toby Farmer to “come clean” about the forged signatures Farmer filed. “I have all the respect in the world for Mr. Farmer’s Constitutional right against self-incrimination, and he may well have done the smart thing legally by not showing up for Tuesday’s trial, but serious questions remain concerning illegalities perpetrated by his campaign and his personal role in those.” The case revolves around pages of forged signatures that were collected/circulated by Farmer and filed as part of his effort to qualify for the primary election ballot.  Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Rea ruled that the signatures themselves were forgeries but that it had not been proven that Farmer personally forged them.  Farmer signed statements admitting to having circulated the petitions and witnessing the forgeries, but because Farmer did not show up for the trial, Shooter’s lawyers were unable to question him as to the identity of the forger. Farmer was spotted celebrating with his attorneys at a bar near the courts after the trial.  When asked about the identity of the forger by the media, Farmer refused to comment. “Toby Farmer’s campaign forged signatures and Toby Farmer swore they were legitimate.  The courts have found that they were forged and now Toby Farmer is protecting the forger instead of telling the victims and the people of LD13 the truth.” said Constantin Querard, a consultant for Shooter’s campaign, adding “Toby Farmer knows who broke the law, so why is he protecting them?”

·       LD28 Candidate Mary Hamway: "Growing our economy and creating high-quality jobs for Arizonans are my top priorities as State Representative. The first step is making sure that all policies are consistent with growing and diversifying our economy to create high-wage jobs with a focus on building a highly-skilled workforce. One way to grow and diversify our economy is by seeking new opportunities in bioscience and biotechnology, manufacturing and renewable energy, while continuing to support our aerospace industries and military installations. Additionally, we must recognize the importance of tourism and the great things our state has to offer. Next, we must ensure that our tax policies are kept low and predictable for Arizona businesses, so we can retain our strongest companies, but also attract companies from across the country. Bringing Apple to Arizona recently was a huge success, but we must continue pushing to attract high-quality companies to our state. As State Representative, I will focus on reducing burdensome regulations that hinder job growth, so we can foster job creation and continue building a healthy economy."

·       CD2 Candidate Martha McSally:  Today, Ron Barber admitted he purposely misled voters with a deceptive poll. Last week, he touted the results of a poll showing him with the lead against Martha McSally and saying he had "overwhelming support" among voters. But today, Barber admitted the poll was not accurate, calling the race a "dead-heat." "We knew all along this poll was nonsense, but to see Ron Barber admit it shows he will do anything to get elected and hide his ineffectiveness from voters," said McSally Campaign Manager Weston McKee. "These are more of the same political tricks that voters have had enough of, which is why Southern Arizonans need someone who will be more than just a typical politician."

Barber spokeswoman claims he has "overwhelming" support among voters (June 18, 2014)

Barber tells supporters the election is a "dead-heat." (Email below, June 19, 2014) (520) 488-4610

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Scott Smith released the campaign's first TV ad, "Crisis Demands Leadership." The ad focuses on Mayor Smith's record of experience and leadership in overcoming difficult challenges in the private and public sectors. Watch below or click here.

Mayor Scott Smith: Arizona faces a crisis that demands proven leadership. I'm Scott Smith.

As a CEO, I saved a company from bankruptcy, creating hundreds of jobs.

As a Mayor, we closed a sixty-two million dollar budget shortfall, cutting government and slashing bureaucracy.

These accomplishments attracted new employers and thousands of new jobs.

Hard working Arizona families deserve a healthy economy.

Our Business Plan, proven in the real world, will Build a Better Arizona.

Voiceover: Scott Smith. Proven Leadership. Proven Results.

As the only candidate for Governor who served as a CEO in the private and public sectors, Mayor Scott Smith stands alone in having a background matched to the tough choices that will move Arizona forward.  scott

·       LD28 Candidate Mary Hamway:  "Our immigration system is broken due to the failure of the federal government and must be addressed. That is why working with the Governor and our congressional delegation to secure Arizona's border is one of my top priorities as State Representative. The recent events of processing hundreds of undocumented children through Nogales is heartbreaking and frustrating and is just another example of a federal government that is wrong on immigration and out of touch with Arizonans. I believe Governor Brewer was right to stand against President Obama and his administration, and I fully support her efforts to fight illegal immigration and protect Arizonans from the dangers of an unsecure border. Unfortunately, securing our border remains an obstacle to true immigration reform and a reasonable solution. As State Representative, I will work with fellow legislators to continue Governor Brewer's border security efforts, improve security at ports of entry and expand the use of technology and E-Verify. Additionally, we need to improve trade relations with Mexico, which will create jobs and help us grow our economy."

·       CD9 Candidate Andrew Walter: In a press release on this day in 2009 by the Arizona State House Democrats, Kyrsten Sinema outlined her support for a single-payer healthcare system.  According to her, the current disaster she "helped craft" didn't go far enough.
Sinema outlined her support for the single-payer, VA-type system, in a letter she co-signed and presented to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.  Following the roll-out of this disastrous legislation that has hurt so many Arizonans, Kathleen Sebelius no longer holds her position as HHS Secretary.  One down, one to go. Hard working Arizonans deserve patient-centered health care reform that will lower costs, and increase quality and choice.  These reforms include policy portability, interstate insurance purchasing, tax reform, expanding high-risk pools, HSAs, block grant Medicaid funding, tort reform, among many more.We have great ideas that don't include a government takeover of your healthcare decisions, but I need you to
join me
to ensure Kyrsten Sinema joins Kathleen Sebelius as a former government employee.
