·       UPDATE: Maricopa County Elections Finished Processing and counting all the ballots cast in the August 26th Primary around 1 am this morning (Sat., Aug 30)  link  The Democrat Official Observer and myself were there all evening as County Elections worked tirelessly to finish tabulating the election results.  Observing these dedicated individuals these past two weeks, along with all the Republican and Democrat Citizen Boards, has given me a new found respect and appreciation for teamwork. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors are scheduled to Canvass the election results on Wednesday, September 3rd. Have a great Labor Day Weekend, - MCRC Chairman A. J. LaFaro

·       Arizona’s counties continue to tabulate ballots from the 2014 Primary Election. The following table details the ballots left to be counted, including early and provisional ballots. State law gives the counties five business days, until the end of Wednesday, September 3, to verify and process the remaining early and provisional ballots. Election results are unofficial until the Canvass, and by way of gentle reminder, our office does not “call” elections. A state canvass to certify official election results for federal, statewide and legislative races is  scheduled for September 8.

·       Note From MCRC Chairman A J LaFaro: I know these past two weeks have been non-stop craziness for all of us.  The reason many  of you haven't seen me or heard from me is because I've been working 16 hour days, every day, providing leadership to the thousands of registered Republican and Republican PC volunteers that are working tirelessly to ensure the primary election cycle goes smoothly.  We should wrap up tomorrow if everything continues to go well.  The general public has no clue the complexity of an election cycle.  Every registered voter should volunteer to help work an election.  Oops I forgot, an overwhelming majority of them don't even vote.

·       Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham has sent a third letter to the Democrat nominee for governor of Arizona asking for more information about the nominee’s career as a lobbyist. Graham asked Democrat candidate for governor and lobbyist Fred DuVal about his efforts to direct corporate money into a slush fund for Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who was later nominated by President Obama in 2009 to be his Secretary of Commerce.  Richardson withdrew his nomination when a federal investigation began into whether he had exchanged lucrative government contracts for political contributions. Fred DuVal was director of a political committee, Si Se Puede PAC, that accepted contributions to benefit Richardson — contributions which were from a corporation that was seeking a billion-dollar contract with the state while Richardson was governor. "Arizona voters especially need to know the full extent of your activities with Si Se Puede PAC, which appears to be nothing more than a personal slush fund for former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.”

·       Gov Jan Brewer Today Issued An Executive Order establishing the Governor’s Office of Faith and Community Partnerships and the Arizona Council on Faith and Community Partnerships. The Office and Council will promote and strengthen partnerships between state agencies and faith-based and non-profit organizations to support and provide benefits, goods and services to vulnerable populations most impacted by the recent fiscal crisis, including children, the elderly, disabled and low-income residents. Enhanced collaboration, communication and outreach will encourage service and volunteerism, increase self-sufficiency and improve the overall quality of life for Arizonans. View here:

·       Former LD Chairman Keith Morrow: It seems intuitively obvious to me that illegal aliens coming in through Mexico have blocked our native born Black youth from entry into the Trade Route for jobs, business founding, and the resultant wealth therefrom. Granting amnesty to illegal aliens legalizes and enforces this major blocking of Black youths future. Editor’s Note:  Anyone wanting to pursue this discuss with Morrow can exchange thoughts at

·       CD2 Martha McSally’s Campaign Manager Weston McKee is out beating the bushes for funding to to close the almost $500,000 gap that Democraft incumbent in Ron Barber has over them. “Without you we won’t be able to catch Ron Barber and we won’t make it to Election Day,’ writes McKee. ·       Two Mohave County Developmental Service Division employees from the Building Division received state recognition for their role in public safety and customer service at the annual Arizona Building Official (AZBO) Business Meeting in Flagstaff last month.  Sam Eshak, Plans Examiner/Building Inspector was named as the AZOB 2014 Building Inspector of the Year, and Sonja Claw received the AZOB 2014 Award of Merit.

·       Arizona Game And Fish And US Fish And Wildlife Service officers met with Senator John McCain and Mohave County officials at the Willow Beach Hatchery to discuss what needs to be done in the long run to fix the problems with the rainbow trout stocking program.  The USFWS stopped stocking rainbow trout at the Hatchery in December.  According to Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson, the estimated economic loss to the region due to the stoppage would have been around $74 million per year. “Our river communities depend on sport fishing.  It is a major economic driver for our county,” Johnson explained.  “The Arizona Game and Fish Department provided roughly 21,000 juvenile rainbow trout to be raised and stocked through the Hatchery. While this solution will save the trout stocking program in the short run, the intake pipe must be fixed in order for the hatchery to continue the program for years to come,” Johnson said.

·       Audit Reveals EPA Using Decade-Old Data To Pass Strict Regulations, according to Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has passed hundreds of very strict and costly environmental regulations related to carbon emissions.  Before passing these regulations, the EPA is required by law to conduct and publish Regulatory Impact Analyses, also known as RIAs.  According to a new audit by the nonpartisan U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), the EPA has been basing their RIAs off of decades-old data.  “The EPA is using data that dates back to the 1970s for some of their new regulations,” said Johnson. “The economics of today are drastically different than they were back then.  These strict regulations are costing people their jobs and killing economic growth in this country.  With today’s technology, there is no reason the EPA cannot gather information and analyses based on current data … Based off the information from these reports by the GOA and Inspector General, we must ask how many of these regulations were passed based off of outdated, fraudulent data,” Johnson questioned.  “Putting an additional burden of $46 billion per year on the American people during a time when everyone is trying to recover from this generation’s largest economic downturn is not good economics.  Any new regulation that effects the lives of American citizens should be completely analyzed with the most current and up-to-date data available,” Johnson said.

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Ducey: This week has been a whirlwind. With Tuesday night's win, my campaign's momentum is growing at a breakneck pace. I want to be governor of all the people, and I welcome anyone and everyone who wants to join my broad coalition. Over the coming weeks I'll be talking to Arizonans across the state and working hard to expand that coalition Arizonans across the state and working hard to expand that coalition. Here are some of the highlights from this week:

1.     With your help, Tuesday night, I became the GOP nominee for governor.

2.     On Wednesday morning, Mitt Romney, former Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential nominee, endorsed my campaign.

3.     We released our first television ad of the general election. watch it, opportunity  and don't forget to share with friends.  If you like the ad, please make a donation  today to keep our ad on the air.

4.     Last night was the most successful ice cream social of the campaign yet! Thanks to Gov Jan Brewer, Congressman Trent Franks,  Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Arizona GOP Chairman Robert Graham, Arizona GOP State Treasurer Nominee Jeff DeWit and the more than 150 people who came out last night!

See you on the campaign trail, and again, thank you for your continued support!

·       Former CD2 Candidate Shelly Kais:  With heartfelt gratitude-I want to thank you for the many hours of campaign support you have given.  Whether we were addressing envelopes, putting up signs, walking neighborhoods, gathering signatures, talking strategy or any of the activities we did, I was overwhelmed with the support that you showed to me and the campaign.  To those who were far away and made contributions, you helped make it happen.  We have so much to be proud of, and I want each of you to know of the many emails I have personally received commending the work of our campaign team and supporters for our outstanding efforts. It is an awesome experience to run for office and meet the amazing people of Congressional District 2 on the journey.  Jim and I are proud to call Southern Arizona our home and are proud to be called Arizonans. As I get back to my business now, I am eager to begin to release new products that I am sure will be better for what I have learned from you and the constituents of Congressional District 2.  Moving forward, we need to work to elect and re-elect our Republican candidates, build our party in Southern Arizona, and continue to uphold the values of the Republican party. My sincere thanks to my family, friends, and supporters.

·       Former LD23 Senate Candidate Jeff Schwartz: Thank you. While the results of Tuesday's election were not as we had hoped, the experience of campaigning  with the support of old friends and new ones made along the way made every minute worth it.  Although 12,942 voters (and still counting!) in LD23 cast their vote for me, I fell short of securing the Republican nomination for State Senate. Regardless of the outcome, I want to tell you how thrilling it was to run this race. The opportunity to serve the constituents of this Legislative District was what propelled me to fight the good fight, and I can proudly say that I gave it my all. The most important thing I have learned from this election is that having a voice and being engaged are both fundamental and essential in order to obtain a positive future for our community. I commit to you that I am not done. I strongly encourage all of you that found your voices this election season, to continue on the path of engagement. Our community needs each and every one of us to be informed and educated about the issues that impact our state, and what impacts the state truly impacts the nation. Your voice, your vote, is important. I thank you each and every one of you.  I am incredibly humbled by your belief in me, and that trust is something I will always treasure. Please join me in supporting Doug Ducey for Governor and the Republican team.  Let's continue to fight the good fight together, as our story is not yet done!

·       Former Gubernatorial Candidate Frank Riggs: I've congratulated Doug Ducey and told him that he has my endorsement and full support in the General Election.  I promised to support our Party's nominee when the question came up during the primary campaign.  Scott Smith, Christine Jones and Ken Bennett all made the same pledge and I encourage them to keep their commitments despite whatever differences they may have with Doug. Doug Ducey will make a far better governor than Fred DuVal.  DuVal claims he helped implement welfare reform at the federal level.  The fact is that the Republican Congress forced President Bill Clinton, for whom DuVal worked, to pass welfare reform legislation in 1996 (the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act) after Clinton had twice vetoed similar bills.  I know, because I served in Congress at the time and co-sponsored and voted for the legislation which instituted time limits and work requirements for welfare recipients, and was a cornerstone of the Republican Contract With America. Doug Ducey, like the governors of other states who endorsed him, is a conservative who believes in and will fight for more state autonomy over the delivery of welfare services and other essential services like K-12 education and Medicaid health care for the indigent and truly needy.  I will work for his election and stand ready to assist him and his administration in addressing the formidable challenges facing our state, if I can be of service.

·       Attorney General Candidate Mark Brnovich: When I got into the race for Arizona Attorney General nearly a year ago, many of the political “experts” said it was a lost cause. Statewide incumbents simply can’t be beaten in the Primary Election, the pundits said. So, I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished this week when nearly a quarter-million fellow Arizonans joined this campaign in saying we deserve better from our Attorney General. We toppled the incumbent and now march toward the General Election on November 4th. I couldn't have done it without you. I want to thank my family, friends, and everyone who believed in this campaign over the course of the past 11 months. I have been truly humbled by your words of encouragement, financial donations, and – most important – votes of support. Our work is not done. The General Election is less than 70 days away; early voting begins October 9th, and I am facing a well-funded, liberal Democrat whose attack machine is already in motion. My campaign is bracing for an onslaught of outside money from the likes of billionaire George Soros and ultra-leftwing groups. They want to take me down and install one of their own as Attorney General of Arizona. I need your help. donations here

·       Attorney General Candidate Mark Brnovich: There are many important races this election cycle, including for Governor. But the stark reality is it may not matter much who our next governor is if we don’t have an Attorney General who’ll enforce the law. With the Obama administration running roughshod over the Constitution, suing the State of Arizona at will, and taking unprecedented executive actions that threaten our economy and border security, we can’t afford an Attorney General who’ll be a rubberstamp for the far Left. Unlike my liberal opponent, I’ll fight back against Barack Obama. I’ll defend Arizona against the drug cartels, gang members and criminals who target our families - just as I did in my career as a state and local prosecutor. The stakes for this election are too high to allow Democrats to seize control of the Attorney General’s Office, giving Barack Obama a direct pipeline into Arizona during the final two years of his presidency. Will you please donate today? $25, $50, $100 or more -- whatever you can afford is greatly appreciated and will support my campaign to be your next Attorney General. Since day one, my pledge to you has been to restore integrity to the Office of the Attorney General, and to fight for all Arizonans. I won't let you down.
