·       Mail In Ballots Should Go Into The Mail Box No Later Than Thur, Oct 30 so they are delivered to the Recorder’s office by 5 pm, Nov 4 (General Election day.)

·       Don’t Forget To Sign Your Mail In Ballot Envelope. Did you know that over 7,000 ballots in the primary weren't counted because they weren't signed and they arrived after the Primary.  It is suggested that you mail in your early ballots by Oct 30 so they are sure to be delivered to the Recorder’s office by Nov 4. Postmarks do not count.  If you don’t mail your ballot before Oct 30, take it to any polling place within your county.

·       All Mail-In Ballot Cities/Precincts: Voters in these areas should mail in their ballots in at least a week prior to the Nov 4 election to make sure their ballots are received in the County Recorder’s office prior to general election deadline.

o   Buckeye: Durango, Festival, Sundance West, Wyman

o   El Mirage: Dysart, El Mirage, Rancho Mirage, Soledad

o   Fountain Hills: Fountain Hills, Four Peaks, Golden Eagle, Palisades, Saguaro

o   Goodyear:  Desert Blossom, Desert Thunder, Desert Vista, Goodyear, Mobile, Palm Valley, Rio Paseo, Pebble Creek, Westar, Wildflower, Wigwam

o   Litchfield Park: Wigwam (in both Goodyear & Litchfield Park) Cheney, Doubletree, Kiva, Palo Cristi

o   Town of Paradise Valley

o   Queen Creek: Sanokai

o   Wickenburg: Wickenburg (those who reside within the city limits). The Wickenburg Community Center will be open for those living outside the Town limits.

The All Mail Cities/Towns are the same as they were for the Primary Election. Additionally, the Town of Carefree and City of Goodyear are holding an All Mail special elections in November. The Recorder’s office  will be mailing to voters in the All Mail Cities/Towns from the Primary even if they are not holding a General Election, according to Kristi Passarelli, Maricopa County Elections Dept

Please note that there are still polling locations for precincts that are split (where a portion of the precinct is within a mail ballot city/town and the other portion is not) For example: Wickenburg precinct – The people who live in the Town will get a ballot in the mail. The people who live outside the city boundaries (in Maricopa County) will vote at the community center. For voters to find their assigned polling location or replacement ballot location for all mail areas they need to use our locator: maricopa.gov/pollingplace/

Finally, please keep this very important phone number handy on election  day: 844-705-5080.  This is the “war room” phone number for AzRLA.  They will be fielding phone your phone calls on election day and dispatch a trained attorney to your location if need be.   -  A. ·       ATTN: Candidates/LD leaders/Group Chairman:  If you have sent events or announcements to Briefs that have not been posted (except endorsements) or that I have not responded to, please resend them. Messages can be sent to repcomm@cox.net    frosty@mcrcbriefs.org  or frostytaylor@cox.net  If I do not respond with “thx” within 24 hours, please resend – using one or all of the above e-dressses.  I’d rather get duplications than not receive your e-mails.

·       Republican Candidate Announcements, fundraiser, neighborhood walks and other events can be sent to repcomm@cox.net for posting in the Briefs.  In fairness to all GOP primary candidates, Briefs does not post endorsements, nor does it endorse any GOP candidates prior to the primary. See Briefs at Http://Archives.Mcrcbriefs.Org/

WHAT CANDIDATES ARE SAYING:

Send to repcomm@cox.net or frosty@mcrcbriefs.org  Briefs does NOT endorse candidates, nor candidate statements. Statements longer than 250/300 words will be edited/condensed.

·       CD1 Candidate Andy Tobin: I’ve been around politics long enough to know a thing or two about elections, Friend. Believe me when I say: this toss-up race between Andy Tobin and Ann Kirkpatrick could not be closer. But I’m worried that he is being outspent.  Andy is just 3 days away from his final end of the month fundraising deadline. That’s why I’m asking you to chip in to Andy’s campaign Right Now.  Rural Arizona needs Andy Tobin to win. He’ll help bring jobs back to our state and cut back the big government regulations that are crushing our economy.  But that’s not all. If Andy wins, it will send a strong message to liberals like Nancy Pelosi that Arizona supports conservative values. We have a chance to remind the Democrats in Washington what Arizonans truly stand for. Small government. Less spending. More freedom. Help Andy send that message by contributing to his campaign Today.  I know you’re unhappy with the direction our country is heading. So am I. This is our chance to stand up and do something about it. Hopefully you’ll stand with me. -  Barry Goldwater Jr.

·       Supt Of Public Instruction Diane Douglas: Please drop your early ballot in the mail Thurs, Oct 30 or take it to the polls on Tues, Nov 4. The pro-Common Core syndicate has dumped over $740,000 into a last-minute smear campaign against me. Their desperate attacks are filled with falsehoods and distortions. I need you to talk to your friends;  tell them the truth about me and my campaign. Here is the real record.

o   Campaign Volunteer:  Mr. Harris, who volunteered and helped out as treasurer during the early part of my primary campaign, has not been involved since May, 2014. The attacks against Harris are filled with distortions and fabrications. Outside money used to attack a volunteer and a private citizen is proof that they cannot win on the issues. Arizonans are tired of this underhanded campaigning. I pray voters will see through these desperate, last-minute attacks.

o    City of Glendale Election: I never advocated for the building of the resort in Glendale. I did oppose the wasteful,  futile lawsuits by the Glendale City Council against the Tohono O’odham project. I have always put a priority on the safety of our students and our schools. While serving on the Peoria School Board, I championed the effort to implement a closed campus policy for our high schools.

o   Qualifications: I have over 20 years experience serving the Arizona education system –public and private. While on the school board, I fought against secret arrangements that funneled education money away from the classroom. Peoria Times tells my record. Don't let the special interests buy this election.

·       CD9 Candidate Wendy Rogers: “The Arizona Democrat Party sent out a mail piece this week, which attempted to woo voters by touting a third-party candidate's purported non-interference stand on national security. To date, this is the most telltale sign that national Democrats are making last-ditch efforts to keep Kyrsten Sinema's campaign from sinking farther than it already has. "You watch . . . when confronted with the fact that the Arizona Democrat Party spent money to promote a third-party candidate, as is typical, Sinema will try to be all things to all people and weather-vane to the moment. Kyrsten Sinema will distance herself from Arizona Democrats to "reach across the aisle" and "act independent". For Democrats to throw money at a third-party candidate is almost unheard of," said Rogers campaign spokesperson James Harris. "Sinema's Democrat mailer is a crystal clear bellwether of Sinema losing big. Democrats know the district is leery of Sinema's antics and her dangerous lack of leadership. AZ-9 wants to elect a true, hardworking servant of the people who will stand firm to serve her country . . . that would be Lt Col Wendy Rogers."

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Ducey: With less than a week to go in the election, we’re fueling up the “Opportunity Express” and hitting the road later this week.  We’ll be traveling across Arizona, making one last pitch for our freedom and opportunity agenda to Arizonans of every background. Diesel fuel costs an average of $3.33 per gallon around the state.  Will you sponsor 15 gallons of fuel with a  donation?  Your sponsorship can help us literally go the extra mile to ensure we’re successful on Tuesday.  I promise that I’ll be giving this campaign all that is in me until the last hour.  Please help us make the most of these critical last days. Thank you, Doug

·       CD1 Candidate Andy Tobin: I know you've been watching what's going on around the world. It's unsettling. While ISIS terrorists destabilize the Middle East... The White House continues to lead from behind. We need to reject the President's failed policies that allowed the rise of ISIS by sending tough, principled, national security conservatives to Congress who will fight to keep America strong, safe and free. Andy Tobin is one of those leaders. He recognizes the dangerous threats that America faces, and he knows what needs to be done to keep America safe. So will you fight with me to protect America by making an immediate contribution to Andy Tobin's campaign today? Andy's Democrat opponent, Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick, has refused to separate herself from Obama's failed national security agenda. Kirkpatrick refused to condemn President Obama's dangerous transferring of terrorists from Guantanamo Bay in the Bergdahl prisoner swap. She even voted to transfer the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay to U.S. soil! We need leaders in Washington who know what it takes to win the War on Terror. We need Andy Tobin in Congress. Can you contribute to help Andy? We're still stuck with President Obama, but by sending conservatives like Andy to Congress, we can start making America strong once again. -- Ambassador John Bolton
