T’was The Night Before Elections

T'was the night before elections

And all through the town

Tempers were flaring

Emotions up and down

I, in my bathrobe

With a cat in my lap

Had cut off the TV

tired of political clap-trap

When all of a sudden

There arose such a noise

I peered out my window

Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet

They wanted my pay

To give to the others

Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money

And quick as a wink

Jumped back on his bandwagon

As I gagged from the stink

He rallied his henchmen

Who were pulling his cart

I could tell they were out

To tear my country apart!

'On Fannie, on Freddie,

On Biden and Ayers!

On Acorn, On Pelosi'

He screamed at the pairs!

They catered to his cause

And as they flew out of sight

I heard him laugh at the nation

Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think

On this one final note

If You Don't Want Socialism

·       CD3 Gabby Saucedo-Mercer  See Gabby Tells It Like It Is without saying a word in her new video.

·       Kudos To Congressman Matt Salmon for his steadfast efforts in obtaining the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from a Mexican prison. “It was all about keeping a promise. The last time I visited him in prison I told him next time I see you it's going to be on American soil and you are going to be a free man," Salmon said. Tahmooressi was arrested in March for crossing into Mexico with three loaded guns and ammo in his truck. He called it an accident saying he took a wrong turn, but he was locked up anyway. Friday night, cameras captured the former Marine smiling and hugging loved ones in San Diego. Salmon said Tahmooressi's release came down to Mexican prisons not having the resources to treat his medical needs. So the courts there authorized a humanitarian release. "I think that finally they just realized that the best thing to do would be get Andrew back to the United States and treated for his post traumatic stress disorder," Salmon said. Salmon said Tahmooressi has no hard feelings toward the Mexican government. He added that the Marine and his family are grateful for the support they've received over the past seven months.

·       The Republican Team held a Victory Rally at the Flagstaff GOP office this afternoon.  Candidates in attendance:  Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Ducey, Sen McCain, Sen Jeff Flake, Congressman Paul Gosar, Speaker Andy Tobin, Jeff Oravits, Rep Barton, Rep Thorpe, Supt of Public Instruction candidate  Diane Douglas, Sec of State candidate Michele Reagan, Attorney General candidate Mark Brnovich, and Arizona Corporation Commission candidates Tom Forese and  Doug Little.

·       Congressman Matt Salmon: The nation breathed a sigh of relief on Friday night as U.S. Marine Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi was finally released from a Mexican prison and returned to the U.S.  I was honored to be on hand as Andrew was reunited with his family on American soil. As chairman of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere, I took a very keen interest in Andrew's condition and spoke frequently with American and Mexican diplomatic and consular officials, as well as Jill Tahmooressi, Andrew’s mother and strongest advocate.  With the Mexican legal system showing little sign of expediting Andrew’s case so that he could receive the treatment he needed, I convened a hearing on October 1, 2014 to show his plight to the nation. When I visited Andrew for the second time this June, I promised him, “The next time we see each other, you’ll be walking out of here.” Since his release, I’ve taken to local and national news programs to thank the public.  While many House members have been actively involved, the countless Americans who constantly made their voices heard and expressed their never-ending support of Andrew and his plight were instrumental in securing his release. It is an honor serving you in Washington and I look forward to seeing you in Arizona.

·       CD2 Candidate Martha McSally held a GOTV Rally in the Saddle and Spur Taven in  Douglas after spending the day knocking on doors.

The EGC can remove their voting privileges as a PC for the rest of their two year terms.

o   your County Recorder’s Office before General Election Day.

o   any polling place in your County on General Election Day, November 4.

·       This Afternoon AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham released a photograph of a sign posted in Tempe, Arizona encouraging voters to avoid “strict ID requirements” by voting at a polling location on the campus of Arizona State University. “This is an outrageous claim to make and it usurps the law that only registered voters who show ID are permitted to vote,” said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham. “We have asked elections officials to address this immediately, and we remind all voters as well as our trained Republican poll watchers to be on the lookout for any potentially illegal activity during the election.” Graham has a network of Republicans who have volunteered to receive training to be poll watchers deployed throughout the state, as well as a legal team from the Arizona Republican Lawyers Association on standby to address any potential voting irregularities statewide.

·       AZGOP Chr Robert Graham: Special Interest Lobbyist Fred DuVal has tried to convince the people of Arizona that he is the right man for the job through misrepresentation and hiding of facts. Whether its downplaying his liberal policies or passing the blame for the tuition increases at our universities, DuVal has tried to talk his way into being our next Governor.  However, when put in the spotlight, Fred’s record makes it painfully clear that he is not right for Arizona. “As his campaign comes to an end and voters are cutting the through DuVal’s double-talk on education and the economy, we’re confident that DuVal, a lobbyist for special interests, is not the kind of person Arizonans want in the governor’s office,” said Graham. “Doug Ducey is a successful businessman who clearly has the background and experience necessary to understand what our state needs to get back on track, and we’re all very excited to support him and our entire Republican ticket in this election."  See full statement

·       Gubernatorial candidate Doug Ducey: The election is tomorrow and I have one last request to ask of you. I need you to sign up for one of our remaining volunteer shifts on Tuesday and make the final push for me. We need to reach as many people as possible before the polls close at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow and encourage them to vote.  We have done so much to broadcast my message of opportunity and growth to all corners of the state, but now it is time to finish the race. Please sign up for a volunteer shift on Election Day and let’s make this happen. Thanks for all you have done and for believing in my campaign,

·       LD28 House candidate Shawnna Bolick: These last ten weeks have been crazy -- just ask my family and friends!   I have personally knocked on several thousand doors and we have collectively made tens of thousands of phone calls into LD 28 asking registered voters for their support on Election Day.  A very big thank you to our donors and supporters who helped us fund these efforts.  Without you, it wouldn't have been possible! As someone who played on team sports as a kid, I also made the time and effort to promote my fellow Republicans with their races when speaking with potential voters.  With less than 24 hours remaining before Election Day tomorrow, I wanted to thank all of our friends, volunteers, donors, and new supporters for all of their efforts on our behalf.  As you know, this race is critical and we can win this second House seat with your help.  If you have some extra time, we will continue making phone calls until the end.  If you’re interested in helping us distribute materials at the polls tomorrow we still have some informational sheets left.  Please feel free to call me at 602-842-1912, or drop me an email at . Thank you again for your continued support!

·       CD2 Candidate Martha McSally:  Friend - We only have 1140 minutes until polls open tomorrow. That’s just 19 hours to reach every voter & ensure they vote for Martha. We need your help to finish strong. Our operation has a winning strategy, and it is imperative we keep up our robust Get Out The Vote operation. We can’t stop now and fall short of victory tomorrow night. Can you help us get out the vote during this last day before the Election? Outside groups have spent $9 MILLION on our race!! Let's not let that money counteract all of our efforts! Even $10 will make the difference for our Get Out The Vote efforts! In the end, it’s going to come down to who rallied the most voters - don’t let us fall short.Let’s make all the work count right now.

·       CD1 Candidate Andy Tobin: This is it, F. We’re just 24 hours away. Thanks to grassroots supporters like you, we have the momentum.  But anything can happen in 24 hours. Anything. That’s why we need to spend as much as we can to reach the last undecided voters in this race. Please, donate whatever you can We’re so close to the finish line, F.
If we pull out a win tomorrow night, it will be entirely thanks to you. I’m forever grateful.

·       Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Ducey:  Before you cast your vote tomorrow, I want to tell you about the Doug I know.  We met at ASU when he was working his way through school and though times have changed since then, Doug’s character has not.  He is a hard worker, a reliable friend, and now a wonderful husband and father.I have been so proud throughout Doug’s campaign to see the broad coalition of people who have joined together to support him: Republicans, Democrats and Independents.  They believe, as I do, in Doug and in his message of creating opportunity for all Arizonans. I was so glad when The Arizona Republic endorsed him in both the primary and the general election because they know what I do: no one has worked harder than Doug to prepare to lead our state.  He has given this campaign his all every day and that's the same work ethic he’ll have if he’s elected our next governor.Doug has my vote and I encourage you to entrust him with yours. Thank you – Angela Ducey
