·      Former AZGOP Chairman Tom Morrissey Told LD18 PCs He Is Running For MCRC Chairmanship during the district meeting tonight.  “I am running ‘for’ this position and not ‘against’ anyone in our Party, but rather against progressive liberalism.  By now it certainly seems that we have heard enough about the damage done to our great nation by those who are sworn to protect it.  The reason they are in the position to do that damage is because many of us in the ‘loyal opposition’ have not done enough to defeat them.  Yes, they own our universities, newspapers and Hollywood, but they do not own us. It is time that we stand on our principles and make certain that what happened on November 4th 2014 is just the beginning of returning to a nation governed under the US Constitution.  It is paramount that we who make up this party make certain that those whom we have elected keep their promise and stay the course.  I want to be a part of making sure that happens.  I have risen to the highest office in every organization and group in which I have been a member because I know how to lead and I keep my word. I have been told that I am fair and objective without compromising my conservative values. I humbly ask that you vote for me as Chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Committee.”

·       Senator David Schweikert? Rollcall is reporting that David Schweikert is mulling over the idea of launching a primary challenge against Pro-Muslim Brotherhood, pro-Amnesty, unpopular, liberal Republican John McCain. If Schweikert runs, he will be a formidable challenger with a strong chance to unseat McCain.   David Schweikert, who has a stellar 97% rating from the grassroots organization Conservative Review, is well positioned to garner most Conservative activists who do the hard work of door-knocking in addition to establishment gadfly organizations such as Senate Conservatives Fund, FreedomWorks, and several others that can help fund a strong campaign against the liberal Republican Senator.

·       Maricopa County Board of Supervisor Clint Hickman was installed as the County Supervisors Association (CSA) President Pledging to support Arizona’s urban and rural counties today. Hickman becomes the CSA’s chief representative for the upcoming Arizona legislative session and with federal and state officials. The CSA Board of Directors has approved several legislative priorities and plans to focus most of their attention at preventing any cost shifts from the state to the counties and securing a greater share of the Highway User Revenue Fund for local governments. “Your priorities are my priorities,” Hickman told officials from the state’s 15 counties. “We are not just urban counties or rural counties. We are Arizona counties and we need to work together to forge a strong partnership with state lawmakers.” Hickman, a Goodyear Republican and owner of a prominent West Valley business, Hickman Family Farms, was appointed to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in 2013 to replace District 4 Max Wilson, who resigned for health reasons. Earlier this month, Hickman was elected to complete the remainder of the term vacated by Wilson. Hickman will serve a one-year term as CSA president. CSA is a non-partisan research and advocacy organization representing all 61 Arizona county supervisors. - See more at:

·       Condolences To The Family of former Pima County Republican Women’s Club President and Precinct Committeeman Joan Richardson.  A viewing is scheduled between 5-7 pm, Fri., Nov 21 at Bring’s Broadway Chapel, in Tucson. Services will be held at 11 am, Sat., Nov 22 at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road, Tucson.

·       Arizona Majority Leader-Elect Steve Montenegro (LD13) responds to President Obama’s remarks: “President Obama’s remarks Thursday on immigration ignore the constitutional separation of powers. His responsibility is to faithfully execute the laws of our country, not to suspend them by executive fiat. Ultimately, the President’s actions hurt our immigration system. Playing with people’s emotions for political gain is wrong. These actions reward people who broke the law, and ignore those who abide by it. The Obama administration’s lawless approach to immigration takes this country in a direction that it has never gone before. The creation of such broad exemptions for millions of people is constitutionally in the hands of Congress.”

·       Congressman Paul A. Gosar: “Tonight’s announcement by President Obama to unlawfully grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants solidifies his reputation as ‘Commander-in-Deceit.’ The president had two years of a filibuster-proof majority in both the House and Senate giving him the ability to legally pass immigration reform with little resistance. Much like most of the decisions he has taken, this insincere executive order is a political stunt of the highest degree. This lawless action violates Article II, Section 3 of our Constitution, a provision that demands that the president ‘…take care that the laws be faithfully executed...’ This clearly states that Congress makes our laws, not President Obama. .. See  Rep. Gosar Responds to President Obama’s Unlawful Executive Amnesty Order

·       Congress Matt Salmon: “Tonight, President Obama announced to America that he would disregard both our Constitution and the will of the American people. The American people resoundingly rejected the President's policies on the ballot just a few short weeks ago, and it is the American people who are sick and tired of a President who continues to unilaterally change our laws through executive orders and govern as if he is a monarch. This president has told the American people twenty-two times that he could not act alone to reform our immigration policies. He publicly declared that despite his wishes, he was 'not a king' and 'not an emperor,' and was 'bound by the Constitution' to work with Congress. See Salmon Responds to President Obama’s Unilateral Immigration Actions

·       Gov Jan. Brewer: “Not so long ago, President Obama rightly acknowledged that his role as president under the Constitution is to ‘take care that the laws be faithfully executed.’ Publically and repeatedly he has rejected the suggestion of bypassing Congress to impose a de facto amnesty via executive order.  See Statement from Governor Jan Brewer: President Obama Thwarts Congress & the American People to Impose Amnesty

·       CD2 Elect Martha McSally in response to President Obama's announcement of unilateral actions he will take on immigration: "Instead of making speeches about how he's going to go it alone on immigration and ignore our system of checks and balances, the President should be inviting leaders from both parties together to find areas we agree on. If anything's clear from the last election, it's that people are fed up with the divisions in Washington and want our leaders to work together. If the President is looking to act on immigration, he should use the authority he already has to fix our failed border strategy, but he refuses. When I get to Congress, I'll work for lasting immigration reform that addresses the root problems of our broken system by securing our border and modernizing our legal immigration system so it contributes to economic growth."

·       Open Letter to Doug Ducey: Please Stand Up Against Obama's Unconstitutional Amnesty!   Arizona voters made their voices heard loudly and clearly when they passed Prop 122 on November 4, 2014.  On that day, voters supported an amendment to the Arizona Constitution to reject unconstitutional federal actions. See entire text of Prop 122  here   Nov 20,President Barack Obama is preparing to take actions, via Executive Order, with no Constitutional authority whatsoever, that will greatly expand protections for illegal aliens.  He is creating a Constitutional crisis. Some of what he might do includes dramatically expanding his deferred action program, allowing the parents of children who are legal residents or citizens of the United States to avoid deportation proceedings. Obama might also expand the eligibility for the current deferred action program, which allows children who were brought to the United States and remained in violation of the law to remain. Arizona's Rep. Matt Salmon has issued a recent statement, viewed here, on our Unaccompanied Alien Children Crisis.  Mr. Ducey, this is your opportunity and responsibility to follow the will of the people of Arizona.   Please, as our representative, you need to come out strongly--today--against this.  President Obama cannot be allowed to get away with acting like a South American dictator!  See: President Obama to Announce Executive Action on Immigration Thursday.  – Anita Christy
