·       LD14 Resolution Limits PCs To Four Proxies Each Per Meeting:  During the LD14 Organizational meeting held Nov 15 in Benson, precinct committeemen from Cochise, Greenlee, Graham and Pima Counties passed a Resolution amending the LD14 by laws to limiting the number of proxy to four that any individual PC can carry per meeting, according to LD14 Chairman Tom Crosby. There was only one vote against the resolution.  The amendment reads:

“Proxies – (Amended November 15, 2014) At all meetings of the District, PCs shall be entitled to vote in person or by proxy. Proxies shall be carried only by a designated representative of LD 14 PC who is a qualified Republican elector and no more than four delivered by any PC. Every proxy shall be attested by a notary public or two witnesses other than the principals. The witnesses must be qualified Republican electors residing in the precinct of the PC who is giving the proxy. A proxy shall be in effect for only the meeting for which it is given. The form of the proxy shall be provided to the PCs prior to every meeting,” as recorded by LD14 Secretary Brieanna Peipelman.

The LD14 Proxy resolution results from a request during the Sept 13 LD14 meeting for “a review of the PC election process and issues” that surfaced in Graham County prior to the August 26 primary.

The other “issues’ are under review by a LD14 Disciplinary  Committee that was voted on and approved during the Sept 13 meeting.

·       AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham says his Communication Director Tim Sifert made “an honest error” in distributing three separate campaign re-election campaign releases for two endorsements for Graham via the Arizona Republican Party e-mail list between 11 am and 2 pm, Wed., Nov 26.  Folks are wondering why GOP headquarters staffers are working on Graham’s re-election campaign and whether Graham intends to reimburse the GOP for Sifert’s time spent on Graham’s campaign. (As you recall the media about beat former AG Tom Horne to death over allegations he had his staff working on his campaigns.)  Or (in fairness to Graham’s challengers) will Graham allow all yet to be announced challengers distribute equal numbers of endorsements via the same GOP list.  Reports are circulating hot and heavy that long-time activist and Paradise Republican Women’s Chairman Lori Urban will soon be announcing.  Christine Jones, former candidate for Governor is also a likely candidate, according to street whispers.  Others say Jones will take on McCain in 2016. And there is speculation that Graham is waiting to take on McCain in 2016.
