·       Anthem-Veterans-Memorial  One of Arizona’s best kept secrets is the beautiful Veteran’s Memorial located in Anthem, north of Phoenix – just off  I-17.  Designed by Anthem resident Renee Palmer-Jones, The five marble pillars represent the five branches of the US. Anthem resident and Chief Engineer Jim Martin aligned the pillars so that at precisely 11:11 am on Veterans Day, the sun’s rays will pass through each of the pillars’ elliptical openings to illuminate a glass mosaic medallion of the US seal. The AVM can be found in the Anthem Community Park,  41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem. Park hours 6 Am-10 Pm, Monday-Sunday.

·       The Arizona National Guard’s first community open house and Soldiers and Airmen muster in a mass military formation on the field will be held at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe at 11 am, Sun., Dec 7 (Pearl Harbor Day).  Open to the public, the event will honor the service and sacrifice of Arizona’s military families during the last 13 years of conflict and will recognize the state’s veteran and military support community. “Throughout wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the longest in American history, service members have placed their personal lives, and often civilian careers, on hold to go into harm’s way to defend freedom,” said Maj. General Michael McGuire. “I am proud of each Soldier and Airman who voluntarily serves our state and nation, and the time has come to recognize them.” Stadium gates open at 9:30 am. Admission free. The muster ceremony, a Guard tradition dating back to the first muster of the colonial militia in 1636, is scheduled from 11 am – noon;  followed by the community expo adjacent to the stadium from noon – 4 pm. The expo will feature food, live entertainment, attractions, children’s activities, information booths, a job fair and more. Arizona’s Army and Air National Guard, a force of more than 7,500 Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen, have supported more than 10,000 individual deployments to overseas contingency operations since Sept. 11, 2001. https://dema.az.gov/muster.

·       Grassroots Action Will Announce A Major Grassroots Offensive against Obama's  amnesty efforts on Monday -- but leading to this announcement they  are asking voters to sign the national petition to "Stop Obama's Executive Amnesty".

·       AZ Project Chr Ron Ludders: Elections are about issues and personalities.   We have had the required primary and general election in a fair and equitable contest of ideas.  In both races the principles of Diane Douglas prevailed.  Like it or not, the results are in and now it's time to allow Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas do the job she was elected to do.  This nonsense about a recall is juvenile, illustrates the extreme that the left will go to just to have a last dying breath of a chance to change the will of the voters. It can't be done. There is a lot of growing up to do on the part of those wanting a recall. My advice,  Get Over It! – Arizona Project Chr Ron Ludders,

·       NRCC: At The Moment, Martha McSally Is Up 161 Votes and has momentum, but Democrats are contesting the validity of the election and fighting against the choice of Arizonans. This race is headed straight for a recount - which is bad news. We've got legal teams ready to fight for every last vote - but we don't have the resources to fund their efforts. Nancy Pelosi and Martha McSally's opponent, Ron Barber, will stop at nothing to win this race. We have to fully fund our recount efforts immediately to stop any potential illegal activity that could jeopardize the outcome of this race. If we don't hit our goal of $200,000 for our recount fund, we could lose this race. Don't stand idly by and let Democrats steal this victory from us - stand with us and fight back now.  Thank you.  -- The National Republican Congressional Committee

·       A Soldier With The Arizona Army National Guard’s 850th Military Police Battalion will receive a Purple Heart medal during a 1 pm, Nov 16 ceremony at Papago Park Military Reservation. Sgt. 1st Class Jasen Barcklay, then a corporal, was wounded during a mounted patrol on Sept. 2, 2005, while serving as a team leader for the 860th Military Police Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  After departing Abu Ghraib Iraqi Police Station to conduct a patrol, a vehicle borne improvised explosive device, or VBIED, detonated approximately 10 meters away from Barcklay’s Humvee.  The explosion was followed by an ambush consisting of small arms and rocket propelled grenade fire from insurgents. Barcklay’s squad returned fire and was able to suppress the enemy attack and secure the area.  Upon completion of the mission Barcklay was treated for ringing ears and stiffness in his back and neck. Later he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.
