·       U.S. Senate Candidate Alexander Meluskey: “I am running for the United States Senate here in Arizona because as a citizen I am gravely concerned with the lack of direction, lack of principles and lack of citizen representation in our country.  I am in a unique position that enables me to shift my business interests into the hands of others focusing my energies on giving others like me a voice I feel we do not have.  I see too few leaders in Washington standing up for the people. The people deserve leaders who will be direct with where they stand on issues and what they plan to do. After that, the leaders must be accountable to their promises. I will be direct, I will be honest and I will be accountable to the people for my promises.”  See  Meluskey’s speaking schedule:

ü  May 20, 6:30pm at Glendale Tea Party at The Brand New Church

·       Recall Petitions Against Yavapai County Republican Chairman Michael Sanders are being circulated among the Yavapai County precinct committeemen (PCs), according to petition author Richard Hennessy. See 5-16-15-briefs   Sanders is also the subject of an open letter recently signed by YCRC Second Vice Chair L. G. Mace, Treasurer Roger Reinsch and Assistant Treasurer Craig Arps objecting to Sanders management style. See 5-3-15-briefs  Hennessey said YCRC has been in disarray since Sanders was elected to the chairmanship.  He said PCs are required to collect 90 PC signatures to have a Sanders recall election.  Hennesssey’s recall petition against Sanders reads:

“We the below signed elected Precinct Committeemen of the Yavapai County Republican Committee call for a Special Meeting  (Art. 5.4 of the YCRC Bylaws) for the purpose of recalling Chairman Michael Sanders. Said meeting to be held within  forty-five (45) days of the receipt of this request by the Yavapai County Republican Executive Committee.”

·       Congresswoman Martha McSally: This week, as I was walking back from the Capitol, I was stopped by a group of Tucson Border Patrol Agents who were in Washington, D.C. for Police Week. They informed me they had just come from winning the Steve Young Honor Guard Competition, a competition held every year between the country's top drill teams. The team's routine this year honored two fallen agents, including Agent Alexander Giannini, who was based out of the Willcox Border Patrol Station and was killed last year in a car accident. In Southern Arizona, we have men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe, whether it's defending our border or patrolling our streets. They deserve all our efforts to support them and their families, and I commend these agents for not only their first place finish, but for ably honoring one of Southern Arizona's fallen.
