Speaking to a large crowd of Glendale residents and business owners, Weiers touched briefly on how far the city has come since he was first took office in 2013. “We have come a very long way together. When I was first elected, voters and local business owners were talking about bankruptcy for the City of Glendale as if it were unavoidable. Well we didn’t just avoid it, we put Glendale on the path to real balanced budgets.” Weiers said

Jerry moved to Arizona in 1966. Jerry is an accomplished pilot--with over two decades of flying experience--who flies out of Glendale Airport. He is a motorcycle enthusiast who rides a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and he is a member of the El Zaribah Shriners Motorcycle Unit. ·       Political Chatter Was Busy Following The LD16 election of a new Chairman and Treasurer this evening.

·       The Fall Of Ramadi And Capture By ISIL of American-supplied military equipment is another setback for the United States and further undermines our credibility as a reliable strategic partner in the region. And yet, the Obama administration seems unwilling or unable to grasp the strategic significance… What we desperately need is a comprehensive strategy, the decisive application of an increased, but still limited amount of U.S. military power, and a concerted effort by the Iraqi government to recruit, train, and equip Sunni forces. This will require disciplined thinking, clear priorities, a strategy supported by adequate resources, and most of all, the leadership and resolve of the President to succeed.” – Senator John McCain at Senate Armed Services hearing on U.S. policy in Iraq and Syria, May 21, 2015   hearing highlights

·       “We Are Not Only Failing [against ISIL], we are in fact losing this war. … We have no comprehensive strategy to deal with radical Islam to include ISIS, we have no strategy in the region to deal with a morphing of radical Islam as defined by ISIS and al-Qaeda, and we certainly… have no strategy… to deal with this issue in Iraq and Syria.” – General Jack Keane, USA (Ret.), Former Vice Chief of Staff of the Army

·       What I Can’t Discern From The Daily Operations – let alone from the statements from the Administration – is any coherent American strategy to respond to this [ISIL] threat.” – Dr. Fred Kagan, Christopher DeMuth Chair and Director of the Critical Threats Project, American Enterprise Institute.

·       US. Senate Candidate Alexander Meluskey will address the Chino Valley PAChyderm at 6 pm., May 21 at the Prescott Country Club. Contact:   480-659-2410   Facebook:

·       “We’ve Seen This Story Before. It’s Like Déjà Vu. We focus too much on our own activity, our own programs, our own budgets, but we’re not focusing on the impact on the enemy. And the enemy has a vote.” – Col. Derek J. Harvey, USA (Ret), Director of the Global Initiative for Civil Society and Conflict, University of South Florida

·       Today” Senate Armed Services Committee Hearing chaired by Arizona Sen John McCain on U.S. policy in Iraq and Syria, top military and national security experts assertion that the fall of Ramadi, the capital of Iraq’s Anbar province, this week further underscores the Obama Administration’s incoherent strategy to degrade and defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
