Sunday - May 10, 2015 is  Mother’s Day

·       Mother's Day Proclamation

·       Celebrating Mothers

·       US-Presidents-Mothers   In honor of Mother's Day, take a look at the women who raised our nation's leaders.

·       Congressman Matt Salmon: This weekend we celebrate and thank the individuals in our lives who have nurtured, loved, and cared for us longer than anyone else we know - our mothers. For me, Mother's Day is one of the most special days of the year. It's a time I can reflect on the many blessings my mother Gloria brought to my life, and the many blessings that my wife Nancy has provided for our family. Truly, my life would not be the same without them. If you are a mother celebrating this special day, allow me to send you a very special thank you for the endless amounts of unconditional love you give so freely. Without you, our communities, our nation and our world would be devoid of so many wonderful things. May God bless you and your families on this special weekend.

·       Services for Dora Sextro’s Husband Norbert will be held at 10 am, Mon, May 11 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 14818 W Deer Valley Dr., Sun City West.  Burial service at 12:30 pm., at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd., Phx.

Arpaio supporters are asked to bring signs and banners in front of court house – just north of the Sheriff’s office in downtown Phoenix.  Bring water, wear walking shoes, wear hats and sunscreen.  Contact LD27 PC Art Olivas at

·       Mohave County Republican Chairman Sen Ron:  Legal Arizona students attending a state university receive a taxpayer subsidy of around $5k per year. Out of state students do not receive the subsidy. The Arizona Board of Regents decision to allow Obama's illegal aliens to attend the State Universities at in-state rates will cost the Arizona Taxpayer $5k for each Illegal student.  The voters of Arizona passed Prop. 300 in 2006 by 75% which prohibited Illegal Aliens from receiving the in-state rate. Am I mistaken or do I remember the Regents complaining about budget cuts? A phone call on Obama's phone doesn't make law in the United States, but maybe it does with our do nothing Republican Congress.

·        Tea Party Petition   Stop Congressional Exemptions From Obamacare.

·        Congressman Matt Salmon: The government spends a ridiculous amount of money on wasteful projects and agencies that do nothing for the citizens.  Last year, I set out to address this abuse by embarking on my Shrink our Spending (SOS) initiative.  By just looking at the most egregious programs, I was able to propose cutting over $2 billion from the budget.  Sure that won’t solve our debt problem, but it would be a great first step.  This year, I’m aiming higher.  As a part of my new program, I’ll be aiming to find $3 billion in cuts.  You can learn more at or by watching the video below.
