·       Third Term MCRC EGC Member-at-Large Joseph Hobbs: To our wannabe candidates – Presidential, Federal, State, County, et al …Many of us are tired of watching our great nation slide into the pitiful, pitiful morass of socialism without so much as firecracker’s worth of Active Patriotism by our current legislative body. Our latest Supreme Court ruling is further evidence that we are no longer represented by our Constitution of Laws – just as long as there are warm and fuzzy interpretations that make everyone feel good. Sorry but I am now looking for the campaign contribution button which says “I give up”.  I will no longer support campaign rhetoric – only campaign action. We are no longer being represented by any semblance of protection by our Constitution when our elected officials refuse to act in the face of so many unconstitutional acts. I give up. Your actions will show me who i can trust. Did you support these tyrants who are in office??? I am “giving up” until further notice.

·       The Arizona American African Republican Committee is taking a summer break for the first time in 20 years. We will not meet in July or August. ·       On June 25, 1962 - 53 Years Ago Today - the US Supreme Court's school-prayer ruling changed America,'  says Scottsdale, AZ-based American patriot and former candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Aloisi. Aloisi believes removal of prayer from public schools broke constitutional law. He submitted a complaint challenging the Supreme Court ruling and recently wrote a letter expressing his take on prayer in public schools to Barack Obama at the White House. Aloisi received a response on official White House stationery signed by Barack Obama. He is available for presentations about his ongoing personal plight and mission to restore prayer to the public school system. He'll also bring exhibits and will hand out signed copies of the letter Aloisi  received from Obama. Contact Alosis at 480-282-7296

·       LD5 Sen Kelli Ward: The Supreme Court has UPHELD ObamaCare yet again. And once again, the Court didn’t even pretend to consider the Constitution and the limits it places on the federal government. Instead, the majority essentially ruled that it would be mean to take away ObamaCare subsidies from people who receive them! This is sheer lawlessness, and it is SHAMEFUL.  But the Supreme Court shouldn’t take all the blame. After all, Congressional Republicans like John McCain refuse to do their jobs by repealing ObamaCare. Instead, they avoid making the hard decisions by deferring their constitutional responsibilities to the president, or the judicial activists in the courts.
We know what happens when Congress puts the decisions into the hands of the Executive branch or radical left wing judges: we end up with lawlessness. Whether it’s DACA, executive amnesty, or the government forcing people to buy insurance.  That’s why we need to change the culture in DC with new representation. Establishment insiders like John McCain don’t want to stop the corruption, they’re part of it! John McCain voted to fully fund ObamaCare—rather than fight to repeal it.
We are doubling down on failure. Premiums are skyrocketing, people are losing their coverage, high deductibles cut off access to healthcare, and citizens are becoming dependents on healthcare welfare. ObamaCare decreases access to care, decreases quality of care, and increases costs in our health care system. This is unacceptable and unsustainable. Americans deserve healthcare freedom and liberty - not governmental tyranny over our lives. And we need representatives in Congress who know that the Constitution is not a suggestion. It’s time to Fire John McCain. get NEW representation in Arizona and STOP DC’s culture of lawlessness!

·       Former AZGOP Chairman Tom Morrissey: Today when I checked the genre lists of top books what I found in the Number One position on (Amazon's Kindle) genre lists of,  "Metaphysical Fiction" (8,000+ books)  and "Metaphysical Visionary Fiction" (12,000+ books) was/is "The Sacred Search - A Metaphysical Mystery Series".  (The omnibus collection of my three book series.)   Don't know how this could have happened without your support and I want to thank each of you.  Hope you will continue to help me move this series up the ladder to other genres and venues by spreading the word. We are closing in on a Fall date for the publishing of the next series, co-written with Steven Seagal..  These books are based on facts and headlines that tell the alarming story of what is going on with our southern border and who and what is really coming across it and into this country.  Please stay tuned.

·       Congressman Paul A. Gosar’s statement after introducing H.R. 2910, the Mexican Wolf Transparency and Accountability Act, which would require the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to comply with federal law and terminate the new overreaching regulations that established the dangerous “Nonessential Experimental Population”  program for the Mexican wolf: “The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s attempts to play God with the Mexican wolf population have been nothing short of a disaster. The Service admitted as much on a phone call on January 17, 2015 when it stated that about 50% of the Mexican wolves bred in captivity don’t survive. Talk about an inhumane and ineffective program. Furthermore, the USFWS engineered wolves that are released into the public have not fared much better and have been involved in numerous incidents where wolves have repeatedly stalked children and our citizens. This unlawful, new program poses a serious threat to ranchers and citizens in these regions and may cause significant harm to local economies. The new regulations that were implemented without an appropriation or authorization from Congress, in violation of the Anti-Deficiency Act, defy commonsense as nearly 90% of the wolf’s original habitat falls within the border of Mexico. Our bipartisan bill will protect local communities, delist the Mexican wolf and terminate this flawed experimental program.”

·       Rep Steve Pearce (R-NM-02) stated the following after joining Rep. Gosar in introducing the bill: “The so-called ‘recovery program’ of the Mexican wolf is a leading example of why Washington should leave species recovery to the states. The US Fish and Wildlife Service’s program ignores public safety concerns, threatens the livelihoods of New Mexico’s farmers and ranchers and fails to set a recovery goal (number of wolves) that will lead to a solution. Wolves are natural predators and are devastating livestock populations and putting children and family pets in danger.  Yet the Fish and Wildlife Service has recently decided to expand the population area for the wolves without first securing the necessary funding to ensure predator incidents can be prevented.  Needless to say, the Fish and Wildlife Service’s current program is not effective for wolf recovery and does not provide the kind of accountability the people of New Mexico deserve.  Congress must intervene by de-listing the Mexican wolf, eliminating this inadequate ‘recovery’ program and transferring species’ protection back to the state of New Mexico.”
Background
·       On January 16, 2015, USFWS listed the Mexican gray wolf as an endangered subspecies and also issued a new rule that dramatically expanded the area Mexican gray wolves can roam. This bill prevents the Mexican wolf subspecies listing from having any force or effect and terminates the 10(j) rule that expanded the areas the wolves can roam and established an experimental population program.
·       The Mexican wolf was first listed as an endangered species in 1976. In 1982, Mexico and the United States signed the Mexican Wolf Recovery Plan. USFWS has acknowledged that, “The recovery plan did not contain objective and measurable recovery criteria for delisting as required by section 4(f)(1) of the Act.”
·       Yet, the Service has utilized the same recovery plan for the Mexican wolf since the early 1980s, failing to update the plan to include recovery criteria as required by federal law which will allow for the down-listing and delisting of this subspecies of wolves. As a result, this plan is significantly outdated and is not based on the best available science.
·       On June 8, 2015, the Arizona Attorney General and the Arizona Game and Fish Department filed a lawsuit against the secretary of the Department of Interior and the USFWS “for failing their statutory duty to develop an updated recovery plan to guide Mexican wolf recovery.”
·       An independent economic analysis found that the Mexican wolf’s presence in one county has caused a direct economic loss of $5 million and resulted in “1,172 calves lost annually to wolf depredation.”
Mexican wolves have caused so many problems in recent years that 12 wolves have had to be lethally removed and more than 150 others have been forced to be relocated.
The Mexican Wolf Transparency & Accountability Act is endorsed by: the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the Public Lands Council, Americans for Limited Government, Arizona Cattleman’s Association, Arizona Farm Bureau, Arizona Cattle Growers’ Association, Arizona Cattle Feeders' Association, the Arizona Association of Conservation Districts, New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau, Coconino County Farm Bureau and Cattle Growers Association, Yavapai Cattle Growers Association, Navajo/Apache Cattle Growers Association, Greenlee Cattle Growers Association, La Paz Stockmen’s Association, Mohave Livestock Association, Gila County Cattle Growers Association, Maricopa County Cattle Growers Association, Cochise /Graham Cattle Growers Association, Southern Arizona Cattlemen's Protective Association.
Sponsors and Original Cosponsors of the legislation include: Mark Amodei, Trent Franks, Martha McSally, Steve Pearce, Collin Peterson, Matt Salmon, David Schweikert and Ryan Zinke

·        Congressman Matt Salmon on  reports of the hijacking of a delivery truck and the theft of American Border Crossing Cards (BCCs) in northern Mexico. “Border Crossing Cards are valuable documents that show a bona fide, legal right to be present in our nation.  The theft of these important documents could allow criminals to circumvent all of the protections currently in place at our borders. This is deeply disturbing and must be addressed immediately. After learning of this troubling incident, I immediately took action by asking Secretary Kerry to clarify some of the concerning circumstances surrounding the theft and its broader impact on our ability to secure our borders.  Only by fully understanding the threats against our nation can we be adequately be prepared to address them.‎"
A link to the original AP article can be found here.  Rep. Salmon’s letter includes the following questions for Secretary of State John Kerry.
-        What are the circumstances surrounding this hijacking?  Was this truck targeted due to the contents of its cargo?
-        Can these BCCs be altered or manipulated in a way that could provide future security threats?
-        What has the Department done to mitigate any future threat to sensitive border crossing documentation?
-        How does this hijacking pose a threat to our ability to secure our borders?
-        Have there been other incidents where U.S. secure documents have disappeared in Mexico?
-        Why was the press advised of this theft while Congress received no notification?
-        Why did the Department take almost three weeks to make available the scant information that it did?

·       Congressman Paul A. Gosar’s amendment cutting funds from the EPA’s Program and Management account and redirecting a portion of those revenues to the Bureau of Indian Education System Operations and Maintenance account passed the House of Representatives and was successfully attached to the Department of Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2016: “Over the past 6 years, the EPA, at the behest of the Obama Administration, has taken unprecedented actions to defy the rule of law and enact far-left, extremist policies by executive fiat. In response, I am more than happy to remind this out-of-control, rogue agency about our Constitution and system of checks and balances which includes ‘the power of the purse’ granted to the House of Representatives. As long as the EPA continues forcing unlawful, job killing polices on the American people, I will continue defunding this agency’s ability to impose further harm. Furthermore, there is no question that money spent funding the EPA would be put to better use supporting the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), ensuring these schools have the necessary resources to provide gainful education and quality facilities at a level on par with their peers in other non-bureau funded schools. I am proud to see bipartisan support by my colleagues in the House for this commonsense amendment.”

·       This Morning Chairman Robert Graham of the Arizona Republican Party commented on the United States Supreme Court ruling in King v. Burwell upholding subsidies contained in Obamacare.  “Arizona’s voters clearly demonstrated in the elections of 2010, 2012 and 2014 that Obamacare is a terrible health care policy,” said Graham. “In 2012 President Obama failed to win the popular vote in Arizona by a margin of nearly 10 points, and voters nationally are going to continue to hold Democrats responsible as they elect Republicans who can repair the damage to our healthcare system. No Republicans voted for Obamacare. Since the law passed and has gone into effect, voters reacted by putting Republican majorities in both the U. S. Senate and House. And those same voters are going to continue that trend and elect a Republican to serve in the White House. I am excited to lead a state party that will provide an alternative and continue turning out voters to support our Republican candidates.”

·       The House of Representatives today voted 420-2 to pass legislation introduced by U.S. Rep Martha McSally to improve intelligence and information sharing on the threat posed by terrorist attacks using chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) materials. The bill, The CBRN Intelligence and Information Sharing Act of 2015 (H.R. 2200), is Rep. McSally’s first bill to pass the House of Representatives and follows months of hearings Rep. McSally chaired on the Homeland Security Committee about the preparedness of local communities. “I’m glad to see the House pass my legislation to improve the preparedness and security of our communities,” said Rep. McSally. “Experts have continually testified before our subcommittee about the importance of continuous information-sharing related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. My bill puts those recommendations into action by requiring DHS to gather intelligence on these threats and make sure officials at the state, local, and tribal levels have access to this information.”  Watch Rep. McSally speak in support of H.R. 2200 on the House floor HERE.

·       The IRS Destroyed Emails after telling Congress they couldn't be found. And that's just one aspect of the IRS scandal that specifically targeted conservative groups. Joel Gehrke reports:  House Republicans investigating the IRS's targeting of tea-party groups are seriously considering an effort to impeach IRS commissioner John Koskinen or other agency employees for "culpable misdemeanors" pertaining to the destruction of e-mails written by Lois Lerner, the former official at the heart of the scandal.
