·       Graham-Fabricates-Reasons-For-Not-Closing-Az-Primary  Establishment fears McCain can’t win without crossover votes drive Robert Graham’s actions

·       Specter-Of-McCain-Haunts-Closed-Primary-Resolutions-Passed by LD2  The specter of John McCain was present at a recent meeting the Arizona’s Legislative District 2, as Precinct Committeemen moved to pass a resolution to close the Republican primaries. Despite his operatives’ best efforts the resolution vehemently opposed by McCain passed.

·       LD20 Unanimously  Passes Resolution In Opposition Of  Prop 104::

ü  WHEREAS the city of Phoenix proposes a $31.5 Billion sales tax (Transaction Privilege Tax) that will be put before voters on August 25, 2015; and

ü  WHEREAS Proposition 104 was approved to go before voters by Mayor Greg Stanton and several city council members, and is calculated to give Phoenix, Arizona one of the highest sales tax rates in the United States; and

ü  WHEREAS the  mayor cut a deal with big business excluding purchases above $10,000 from the proposed new tax

ü  BE IT RESOLVED that voters in Legislative district 20 condemns city of Phoenix proposition 104 and furthermore

ü  BE IT RESOLVED that the PCs of Legislative District 20 call citizens of Phoenix to vote No on Proposition 104.

·       The Republican Party of Maricopa County Executive Guidance Council voted to formally oppose City of Phoenix Proposition 104, the $31.5 billion dollar light rail proposition, according to Tyler Bowyer, MCRC Chairman. According to a statement released today, Prop104 is a proposal to levy more than $30 billion in new taxes on the citizens of Phoenix for the next 35 years.  The proposal also includes the construction of 41.2 miles of new light rail track at a staggering cost of more than $160 million per mile at a time when the light rail is currently losing 53% on farebox recovery and serves less than 1% of Phoenicians. “Proposition 104 is more of the same tax and spend policies from a Mayor that has consistently chosen his union cronies and big business buddies over the citizens and taxpayers he was elected to serve,” said  Bowyer.  “I am grateful for the principled leadership of the Republican Party of Maricopa County Executive Guidance Council in opposing this scam and standing up for the citizens, taxpayers and small business that call Phoenix home.” City of Phoenix Proposition 104 is bad for Phoenicians, bad for businesses and bad for the Arizona economy.  The Republican Party of Maricopa County opposes Prop 104.

·       Maricopa County Chairman Tyler Bowyer Responds to reports floating around last night that he had moved into an LD with no PC openings.  Bowyer said, “I have not moved yet, but the precinct I am moving into has vacancies and I will be appointed a PC when I move there. My wife and I have not yet officially announced it, but we are delighted to be moving to downtown Mesa, into a 1920 bungalow, not far from where my grandfather and dad grew up. We are looking forward to living in LD-25!

“As far as elected position goes for the county, when someone is elected into a leadership position, they serve for the length of the term based on location when elected. In this scenario, I will be moving even more central to the county which should help my access to more LDs. :)

“As far as state committee is concerned, the county chairman is automatically a state committeeman in that role, no matter where he/she lives, so LD-25 will be gaining a new SC to their final number.”  Ok, folks – there you have it straight from the horse’s mouth.  See bylaws: mcrcbylaws2014

·       Secretary of State Michele Reagan: Happy Independence Day! For the last 239 years, our country pauses to celebrate July 4th as the day the Continental Congress formally declared our independence in Philadelphia. For so many people, it is a day to embrace their patriotism and proudly display the most recognizable symbol of freedom around the world. The flag of the United States. The American Flag has long exemplified the spirit of those who lost their lives in battle, as well as those who fought valiantly and survived. It stands for all our ancestors who worked, saved and sacrificed at home to raise their families in such a strong, free and prosperous land.It stands for the freedom that so many other counties in the world are just now beginning to experience. It stands for us and, heaven permit, it will fly for our children and our children’s children in a land still strong and free. Take a moment this weekend and reflect on the words of former Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes: “One Flag, one land, one heart, one hand, one nation, evermore!”

·       Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio: Two-hundred, thirty-nine years ago, our Founders who were dedicated to freedom and liberty took a daring leap toward independence. Today, we enjoy the freedoms of their sacrifice. Remember this holiday those men and women and their families who defended our freedoms. Please show your appreciation for members of our military, police, fire and public safety professions.Be safe in your travels and in this summer and remember to say a prayer of thanksgiving for living in the greatest country on earth. Have a wonderful and safe Independence Day!

·       County Supervisor Chair Steve Chucri: Independence Day is a time to celebrate our nation’s independence and remember the freedoms afforded to us by our Founding Fathers. Because of the sacrifices made by those before us, we enjoy the ability to live free. Our democracy continues to be a model for the world. Let this Fourth of July celebration remind us how deeply fortunate we are as Americans to live in this great nation. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July. - Chucri, District 2,  602-506-7431

·       As The County Supervisor Asst President, Clint Hickman is on the go. Hickman said, “I continue to travel the state on my quest to address my fellow County Supervisor colleagues during their formal meetings. Early on Monday, I will begin driving so that I can make meetings in Graham and then on to Greenlee County. The following day I address the Apache County Board of Supervisors. After this trip, I will only have three more counties to go: Coconino, Navajo and Mohave. Man, this is a BIG state!”

·       LD22 Secretary Van DiCarlo has put out a call for agenda items for the July 20 meeting. Items submitted for the business portion of the meeting will be considered by the Executive Committee on July 8. PCs wishing to address their fellow PCs may submit a request for time to do so. PCs wishing to speak will be placed on the agenda during the program portion of the meeting.  PCs will be allotted up to 5 minutes to speak on any topic. Contact:

·       Words Of Wisdom Floating Around The Net:  The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to 46 million people. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."  Thus ends today's lesson in irony...

·       State And Local Agencies are focusing efforts on promoting safety along the busy highways, including Interstate 17 between north Phoenix and Camp Verde over the Fourth of July weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. ADOT and its contractors did not schedule construction closures along state highways between Thursday afternoon and late Sunday night. Drivers are urged to use caution over the weekend, especially in areas that have been narrowed due to existing work zones.

·       Keep Pets Safe on Fourth of July  While humans enjoy all the fun and festivities associated with celebrating our nation's Independence, Fourth of July festivites can be very stressful for our four-legged friends.

·       Senate Candidate Clair Van Steenwyk: Betraying American Manufacturing & Workers = Evil. AZ's US Senators McCain & Flake voted against us again. This habit of theirs seems to always put US last and outsiders first. They support Legal Status, ENDA, (most in AZ don't), no dang fence, Dream Act, Strive Act etc., the list is endless while both claim to be Conservatives, which for some by definition maybe RINO Conservatives. As long as those in AZ continue to support and vote for this type of office holder all America will suffer. I opposed Sen. McCain & Flake, however the RINO led GOP kept them in office and now their votes along with the 4 GOP Congressmen who aided them in passing TPP must be removed. We're hoping to do this ourselves with the help of course of all of you. Join us in the effort to Remove Senator McCain and remember to not only check his record but anyone else running as well, we can't send a Representative to DC who's already voted against US or openly supported RINOs now serving in AZ as well.
