·       Yavapai County Republican Chairman Michael Sanders Resigned following an Executive Committee meeting this evening citing a cardiac condition and strife within the county party regarding a recent recall effort against him that started shortly after his Jan. 10 chairmanship election. Although a July 25 recall election failed, officers are pursing another recall election on Sanders due to alleged improprieties that occurred during the July 25 meeting. In his resignation letter, Sanders wrote, “I am abundantly aware this rancor is not going to cease and the stress continues to build and is taking a toll on my health. It is with regret I tender my resignation as your County Chairman for the good of the Party. It is my desire to get my life back in a positive direction for me and my family and to stabilize my personal health and well-being. Thank you for your support in electing me and accept my  sincerest best wishes that the Party will prevail with  further Good Republicans being elected in our County, State and Nation in the upcoming very serious elections.”

·       Aaron Borders -  Regarding Someone Contacting LD Leaders As MCRC Outreach: "When I campaigned for the position as 2nd Vice Chair of the MCRC the number one issue I campaigned on was fulfilling the duties of our bylaws which are listed on my website  Once I had the privilege of earning this position I was asked by my Chairman to focus on PC recruitment -- as all LD Chairs can attest that is what I have been focused on. I am currently working on scheduling meetings with each club this fall once the vacations are over and the clubs are in full swing. I have not and did not give anyone permission to speak on my behalf per my dually elected responsibilities. I look forward to meeting further with the Maricopa Republican Clubs and if I have not already put your club on my schedule (I have left a lot of messages) please contact me at

·       A Procedural Vote In The Senate on legislation that would have barred all federal funds for Planned Parenthood failed on Monday. The vote was 53-46, meaning the measure failed the get the 60 votes needed to overcome a Democratic filibuster on bringing the bill up for debate. Conservatives in both the House and Senate are urging their leaders to include a provision to defund Planned Parenthood on any upcoming bill to fund the government this fall.

·        Donald Trump Puts Spineless Establishment In Its Place by A J LaFaro, Past MCRC Chairman.  “…The American people are fed up with the direction of this country. They are mad as hell with the spineless establishment elite that is destroying America. The politicians, crony capitalists, chambers of commerce, unions, special interest groups, illegal aliens and terrorist (both foreign and domestic) who have sold their souls to the devil at the expense of American’s future generations.”

·       Lawmakers-Vote-To-Let-Obama-Take-Your-Passport-Without-Trial   In a radical attack on the due-process rights of Americans that received virtually no media attention, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted to give the Obama administration the unilateral power to strip you of your passport and right to travel without a trial or even criminal charges. The scheme does not even include a way to challenge your status as a non-person involuntarily trapped inside U.S. borders on orders from the secretary of state.

·        Congressman Matt Salmon responding to the President’s latest executive action titled the ‘Clean Power Plan.’  “As many Americans struggle to find good-paying jobs and make ends meet during this President’s protracted recession, this Administration is focused on raising the cost of just getting by.  Having already failed to get his proposal through Congress during his first term, President Obama is again resorting to ‘my way or the high way’ tactics, choosing to make an end-run around Congress and rule by fiat. Claiming broad authority to unilaterally impose restrictions on America’s power generation that will imperil access to affordable electricity for many Americans, the President has foisted his radical environmental agenda on the people, without aiming to establish reasonable regulations within the bounds of the Clean Air Act.  The American people deserve better, and I will work hard to protect them from yet another harmful executive action by this President.”
