“And so that’s what we’re going to see. How far they can throw me off the cliff for

opposing him on an idea.”   - DeWit on Ducey’s threat to “make an example”

of him for opposing the trust land reform proposal.

·       LD30 Saga Moves Forward: The LD30 ‘Special Meeting’ (recall election of Chairman Gary Hirsch) will be held at 7 pm., Mon., Sept 28 at the VFW Post 1433, 7618 N. 63rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, according to Maricopa County Republican Committee Executive Director April Riggins, who is charge of the special meeting. The call letter to precinct committeemen went out today – per the bylaws that require the call letter be mailed 10 days prior to the special meeting. Only credentialed person approved by the Executive Director will be allowed into the special meeting.  Registration opens at 6 pm. Riggins is MCRC Chairman Tyler Bowyer’s appointee to run the meeting.

·       LD30 Was Been In An Upheaval since the first of the year over procedural details regarding the appointment of nearly 100 new precinct committeemen.  As a results, MCRC Chairman Tyler Bowyer finds himself in a situation where both sides are now angry with him for  alleged delays, foot dragging and not following through with promises to both sides.

·       no John Kerry: We Do Not Want 10,000 Syrian Refugees:  Secretary of State John Kerry announced that Barack Obama wants to import 10,000 Syrian Muslim refugees into the United States starting next year. That’s on top of 1.2 million legal immigrants we already tolerate annually. That’s on top of the 500,000 to 700,000 illegal aliens violating our borders annually…  by Frosty Wooldridge

·       LD22 PC Jane Schutte: I love you putting in Marilyn Barnewell’s comments on how the establishment wants to take out (president candidate Donald) Trump.  I feel she is spot on.  All these candidates are in it to siphon votes and delegates from Trump.  When the time comes they will throw their support to Jeb Bush.  It happens every election cycle and it is sad because the everyday hardworking PC and voter never get a say in who their candidate should be.  Thanks

·       Volunteers Are Needed to walk with US Senate candidate Dr. Kelli Ward’s

·       Shortly after Clinton's interview on Thursday, the Republican National Committee issued a statement blasting her over the email issue while drawing attention to her decision to not push for more Democratic primary debates. "Once again Hillary Clinton laughed off questions about her secret email server even though it put our national security at risk and is being investigated by the FBI," RNC spokesman Michael Short said in a statement. "With her campaign under siege, it's no wonder she is refusing to join the growing chorus of Democrats calling for more debates."

·       Congresswoman Martha McSally and Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) led a bipartisan group of Members of Congress today in introducing a resolution congratulating the first women graduates of U.S. Army Ranger School. Captain Kristen Griest and First Lieutenant Shaye Haver made history on August 21, 2015 when they became the first female graduates of the grueling Army Ranger training regimen.  See resolution HERE.

·       Today, U.S. Attorney John S. Leonardo announced that $40,786,191 has been awarded to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). These funds will, among other things, be used to provide direct services to crime victims. The funds were awarded by the Office for Victims of Crime (“OVC”), which is a component of the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (“OJP”).  "As the state's designated recipient of federal Victims of Crime Act Grants, the Arizona Department of Public Safety realizes that this year’s funding will surpass any level of funding that the agency has ever seen. Our employees also understand the responsibilities associated with this funding and are working hard to distribute these funds to service those most in need” said DPS Col. Frank Milstead.

·       The Paradise Republican Women received first place for its ‘Caring for America’ UMOM project at the Arizona Federations of Republican Women’s convention held Sept 10 at the Desert Ridge Marriott in Phoenix. A The UMOM collection basket will be passed at the October and November General Meetings for Adopt-A-Family for Christmas. Last year the club adopted two veteran families. ·       At a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing today on U.S. maritime security strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, Chairman John McCain (R-AZ) questioned Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs Ambassador David Shear and Commander of U.S. Pacific Command Admiral Harry Harris about the Obama Administration’s continued restriction on U.S. Navy ships from operating within 12 nautical miles of China’s reclaimed islands in the South China Sea (see comparison of China’s reclamation activities in chart below and attached). McCain noted in his opening statement, restricting Navy ships, “is a dangerous mistake that grants de facto recognition of China’s man-made sovereignty claims.” McCain also questioned Assistant Secretary Shear about the Administration’s strategy to deter China’s cyberattacks against the United States, in light of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, in which he stated the United States lacks, “both the substance and the mindset of deterrence” in cyberspace.  Full Committee hearing here.

·       Sen John McCain today cosponsored a resolution introduced by Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) and 45 other Senators disapproving of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “Clean Water Rule,” which expands the agency’s control of land and waterways in the United States under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, commonly known as WOTUS. The Senators’ resolution would address this ill-conceived rule by sending a message to the EPA that it failed to address the concerns raised by farmers, ranchers, manufacturers and small businesses in Arizona and across the country. Full resolution is here.
