·       Attorney Rae Lynne Chornenky has announced her candidacy for Arizona Republican

National Committeewoman. Chornenky is the immediate past president of the National Federation of Republican Women, having served in that position as CEO of the more than 75,000 member NFRW for two years. She has attended national RNC meetings since 2011. She is the Current NFRW Legislation and Research Committee Chairman, NFRW Federal PAC President, and Chairman of the Board of the NFRW Pathfinder Fund. She is a frequent event speaker on the topics of human trafficking legislation and the alleged “war on women,” demonstrating how the Republican Party is the Party of women.

A former commissioner on the Maricopa County Superior Court bench, presiding over

jury trials and criminal hearings, Chornenky also served as an Assistant Arizona Attorney  General, prosecuting organized crime and racketeering and tax fraud, and was cross-designated as a federal Assistant United States Attorney. She spent two years as the legislative liaison for the Arizona Department of Agriculture, drafting legislation and successfully lobbying budget regulations, statute changes, and regulatory items. She performed as an adjunct professor for more than six years, teaching constitutional law, evidence and substantive criminal law.

Chornenky was selected as a Fellow in the Arizona State University Leadership Policy Program. She has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Phoenix, Phoenix Valley Leadership, the YWCA and volunteered as Education Director of the American Legion Auxiliary’s Arizona Girls State for more than 20 years. She was appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Domestic Violence, and was successful in gaining a $250,000 grant for Arizona. She has served on the Arizona Supreme Court’s Commission on Minorities in the Judicial System. While in law school, she earned a master’s Degree in Counseling and, prior to that, she taught elementary school. Rae is married to attorney Joe Chornenky and they have raised three children.

·       LD25-PC Karen Gevaert: Thank you LD18-PC Brenda Roberts, I to share your concern for these Muslims Refugees coming to our state.  "SILENCE"  from our state governor, state representatives, and senators.  I did call our Federal representatives, and our two (questionable) senators.  McCain and Flake, both voice mails were full. When I contacted Representative Schweikert--the phone person stated that he is trying to get petitions from the republican sector,  and also sending a letter to the Administration regarding the opposition for the Syrian Refugees to our state.  He was the only one doing anything.

·       Republican Activist Stephen Sivigliano: We just sold the farm. Not so!  We just gave it away...specifically, Obummer (Hussein) gave it away.  Now, it's up to congress to block that giveaway.  We know how that's going to turn out, don't we?  As usual, the RINOs are going to lay the whole party down on their backs and let the rest of the world walk all over us carpets.  Just another nail in the U.S. coffin.

·       Daniel J Schultz: How Conservatives Can Defeat The Chambercrats’ $100 Million  A recent article chronicled the plan by the “Chambercrats” at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to spend $100 million to defeat “Tea Party” conservatives in the upcoming Republican primary elections. This “top down,” “let’s throw money at the problem” approach can be defeated, easily, by conservatives if they expend two resources they all possess: a little bit of time and a little bit of sweat equity.

·       Sen Sylvia Tenney Allen: Keep Sedona Beautiful has been using the Transfer of Public Lands movement as a reason for promoting the Sedona Verde Valley Red Rock National Monument.  The perception that transferring public lands to the state would encourage the sell-off of our open spaces to developers is wrong.  That perception is not being promoted by those who are involved with this movement. See -   the Public Policy Statement ratified by unanimous consent on October 9, 2014, at the American Lands Council multi-state workshop. American Lands Council has been a leader in the Transfer of Public Lands movement.

The policy statement lays out clearly the motives and desires of those who want to fulfill the contract the Federal Government made with the state of Arizona on Statehood Day, February 14, 1912.  Section 4(iv) of the policy statement says:  “Retain Public Ownership of Public Lands: Federal public lands shall become state public lands to be managed in accordance with state and local plans;”

Western states are step-children to the United States.  We have never been given full statehood. We are part of “empire building” instead of being a part of building the USA.  The Transfer of Public Lands movement is not about selling off all the public lands and putting them in the hands of developers.  This movement is about protecting and using our lands with the same kind of local and state control that other eastern and Midwestern states enjoy.

North Dakota, one of the most rural states in the nation, has a booming economy growing at five times the national average, 2.8% unemployment, a state budget surplus of over $1 billion, and a steady demand for new workers?  North Dakota manages 90% of their state!

The terms of statehood in the Enabling Act relating to the disposal of federal title to public lands in Arizona are the same as the terms of statehood for the disposal of federal title to public lands in North Dakota. The Federal government honored its obligation to transfer title of the public lands for local stewardship to North Dakota but not to Arizona.

The Federal government loses 27 cents for every dollar it spends on land management.  The State of Arizona makes $6 an acre off of our state lands.  As a state, we cannot fund our schools or build or repair our roads due to the fact that the majority of our land is under Federal management. Please work to stop the designation of more Arizona land as new federal monuments, thereby adding more regulations and giving up local control.
