Well Know Republican Activist Joseph Hobbs has announced his candidacy to fill the seat left open by the resignation of Arizona Corporation Commissioner Susan Bitter-Smith – effective Jan 4, 2016. Hobbs is currently serving his third term as Member-at-Large for the Maricopa County Republican Committee Executive Guidance Committee (MCRC EGC). His term expires Jan 16 when new Maricopa County GOP officials are elected during the annual mandatory meeting in Phoenix.
Hobbs says he has more than 30 years of “hands-on” experience in regulatory environment, a Master’s degree in Telecom Sciences, familiarity with Rate of Return and PBR rate making policy, and is a member of Arizona Telecommunications and Information Council (ATIC). His profile is on If Hobbs is appointed to serve the remainder of Bitter-Smith’s term he will not to run for re-election during 2016 as a gesture to re-establish integrity at the ACC, he said. Hobbs is a former LD19 state senate candidate. Contact:  480-381-2380

Floating the Internet. This Should Put A Smile On Your Face... While waiting for a flight at Washington, D.C.  Ronald Reagan National Airport, two World War II veterans proved they can still boogie! The men were in D.C. as part of an Honor Flight – a service that provides free flights to veterans so that they can tour the war memorials in the nation's capital.
A group of three women known as the Three Ladies of Liberty began entertaining the vets with their rendition of The Andrews Sisters 1940's hit "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." That's when one of the vets stood up and provided some entertainment of his own, showing off some impressive - and unexpected - dance moves. He was soon joined by another veteran who went straight for the ladies as they sang the iconic wartime song. A 2 min. video was posted to YouTube and has become an instant hit. The Greatest Generation indeed. World-War-II-Veterans-Start-Dance-Party-Airport-During-Honor-Flight

Tom Morrissey, Immediate Past Chairman of the AZ GOP:  So there is an effort by AFA to expose the voting record of Senator Jeff Dial to the voters of LD 18 who elected him to office after he and his fellow electeds, Bob Robson and John McComish helped to bring us Medicaid Expansion (aka Localized Obamacare).  When I ran against him, last year, and knocked on many doors, I spoke with voters who were very unhappy with the three of them because they, the voters, felt “betrayed”.  And yet, all three were elected to one office or another.  My advice to Tom Jenny is, if you are setting up a campaign for another candidate, please make certain that you vet him or her so that we don’t get a “moderate” replaced by another “moderate”.  And, oh yeah, one other thing, make sure that the person running against Jeff Dial is a real Veteran, if he or she should claim to be so.  Real Veteran, as in one who actually served this country and not just claimed to have done so.

Americans For Prosperity Is  Mounting A “Dial D For Disappointing” Campaign against LD18 Sen Jeff Dial that includes going door to door throughout his district to alert voters of his voting record on fiscal policy issues, according to Arizona Director Tom Jenney  Here are the concerns:
·         Dial voted against Governor Doug Ducey's fiscally conservative balanced budget.  His failure to support the budget almost caused the state to spend millions of dollars we can't afford.
·         Dial single-handedly blocked passage of the Truth in Spending budget transparency bill, by not even allowing the bill to be heard in his committee.
·         Dial scored 47 percent on AFP-Arizona's 2016 Legislative Scorecard, earning him the designation of "Friend of Big Government."
·         Dial's cumulative score on the Legislative Scorecard is 51 percent, earning him the designation of "Needs Improvement."
The 2016 legislative session that begins in January will give Dial another chance to get it right and vote for fiscally conservative policies, according to  Field Director Leslie White. Tell Senator Dial to stop listening to the teacher unions and the Big Spenders and start listening to the hard-working taxpayers in his district.   This Link to contact Dial. To join AFP field teams for door canvassing action in Dial's district (Ahwatukee/Tempe/West Chandler), contact Leslie White at
