South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham Drops Out Of Republican Presidential Race  "While we have run a campaign that has made a real difference, I have concluded this is not my time," he said in a statement.

In Informing The 123 Co-Sponsors Of The “Anyone But McCain” (ABC) Resolution that their resolution was rejected by the Maricopa County Republican Committee’s Resolution Committee , Committee Chairman Eric Morgan wrote “…if this resolution is to be heard by the body in January, it is best served coming from the floor in a true, grassroots fashion.”
Morgan said  “…the majority felt that this committee is too much of an ‘official arm’ of the party to be recommending a hard stance against one Republican candidate over another”  and that a resolution coming from the floor sends a more personal message, one that is truly “from the people, not the party.
Morgan wrote, “The opinion of the minority vote in this case was equally simple. They believed that the PCs have a right to be heard and that asking the resolution to be brought from the floor would be received as an attempt to silence it. They were worried that emotions could run hot and set us on a course of attacking one another, even though our end goals may be the same and that this struggle could damage all Republicans.”

Co-Sponsors Of The “Anyone But Mccain Resolution” are taking exception to the RC rejection, noting they met all the requirements in submitting the proposal. The sponsors are now faced with the expense of preparing and carrying 2,000 copies of the resolution to the Jan 16, as required by the bylaws, to bring the resolution to the floor of the Jan. 16, 2016 MCRC Mandatory meeting in Phoenix. They are required to provide a copy of the proposed resolution to each precinct committee in attendance at the meeting.
Co-sponsors pointed out that McCain has already been “censured by over 80% of the county PCs” at the 2014 Maricopa County Republican Precinct Committeemen and were  backed up by the censure by the State Committeemen at the AZGOP mandatory meeting.

In e-mails that circulated today, Resolution Committeeman George Cuprak, who opposed the resolution, said, If there is a problem with our sitting Senator, then the way to rectify it is to replace him at the ballot box, not run silly resolutions attacking one Republican by name from a forum that is supposed to represent ALL republicans in Maricopa County.  If the opponents of the sitting Senator want to send a message, they should find/support another candidate, raise money, and get that other candidate elected. They should make sure their supporters are there at the county meeting in force, visible, and noticed. That is the way our system works.”

Other Are Quick To Note That McCain’s Revenge reportedly attempted to cleanse the more conservative precinct committee and state committeemen of leadership roles during the 2015 elections via “paper PCs”  (those who do not attend meetings) and their proxies
Although Morgan did not release the Resolution Committee vote count, co-sponsors report that George Cuprak, Dino Eliades and Michael Loverine opposed the resolution, while committee members Russell Peace and Nickie Kelley were in support of forwarding for the Call Letter agenda.  Morgan reportedly did not vote on the issue.

It Was Also Pointed Out Today That Immediate Past Maricopa County Chairman A J LaFaro submitted a similar “Anyone  but McCain” (ABC) resolution to the AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham about a month ago. Graham reportedly did not call the AZGOP Resolution Committee together in time to meet requirement deadlines, therefore, killing LaFaro’s ABC resolution from appearing on the Jan 23 mandatory AZGOP meeting call letter.  However, LaFaro’s resolution can also be brought to the floor by grassroots state committeemen at the Jan 23 AZGOP meeting

MCRC Resolution Committee Member Russell Pearce said today, I adamantly supported sending the Anybody but McCain Resolution to the floor.  I thought it was the right thing to do and I felt it was wrong to dis-enfranchise our PCs that brought it forward.  It served no purpose to not send it forward, after all they complied with the by-laws and proper form and they will get it to the floor.  All the committee did was cost them money and a whole lot of effort.  I don’t believe a committee of 6 should be able to override a petition of over 125 PCs.   I stand in support of the Resolution to be heard and voted on in our January Maricopa County mandatory meeting.
Activist Art Olivas writes:  “Anybody but McCain” Resolution!!!  It has been brought to our attention the names of the six Committeemen that have rejected our resolution! What we don't know is who is protecting John McCain! In my eyes Eric Morgan needs to man up! And let us know how each one voted! We put our trust in Republicans In Name Only and get stabbed in the back every time!! Question? Is Eric Morgan ashamed of their vote? Where is the Transparency? These people are supposed to serve us. Or resign!! This I believe! Remember the names of the Committee Men!”
CORRECTION:   LD24 PC Tristan Manos was errantly listed among the Maricopa County Republican Resolutions Committee who rejected the “Anybody but McCain” resolution 11-30-15-Briefs that was submitted for the Jan. 16, 2016 Maricopa County Republican Mandatory meeting.  Manos has attended the meeting as an observer, however, he says he was not a voting member of the committee.   See   12-19-15-briefs   The MCRC Resolution Committee consists of
·         Chairman:  Eric Morgan
·         Dino Eliades
·         George Cuprak
·         Russell Pearce
·         Nickie Kelley
·         Michael Loverine
Eliades, Cuprak and Loverine reportedly opposed the resolution and outvoted Pearce and Kelley, who supported the ABC resolution.
AZ Project Chairman Ron Ludders: Just wanted to let everyone know how Beth Jameson is doing after her unscheduled surgery.  The good news is they were able to save her leg and that's a good thing.  She's doing well, but has needed several blood transfusions and will take many months to recover before her next surgery.  Poor gal, she's had 10 surgeries all complicated by "staph" infections. Your prayers, thoughts and good wishes have been a comfort during this difficult time and I encourage their continuation. Beth and I wish you all a very wonderful, thoughtful and Merry Christmas.  Thanks once more for your continued support.
Linda Barber. Pima County Republican Party Chairman 1988-1992: Let's make this quick and to the point.  We have a Pima County Republican Party.  We have leaders. We have an office.  We need to support party efforts so that we remain viable in our community.  That takes money!!!  I cannot be as active right now as I have been for most of my 44 years as a PC.  So I have chosen to pledge $25 a month to the party.  That amount is charged to my credit card each month. It is a very easy way to show support that will add up to something the party leaders can count on.  Come on, guys.  Join me in a monthly pledge.  If we can get those pledges to add up to $500 a month, that will make a big difference.  Just click on DONATE !!Merry Christmas!!!

A Campaign Kickoff For Maricopa County Supervisor Denny Barney is scheduled between 5:30-7 pm, Thurs., Jan 21 at Infusionsoft, 1260 S. Spectrum Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85286.

Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas today announced that the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) will maintain its Certification office in Tucson so that it can continue to serve current and future educators in southern Arizona. Prior to the Superintendent’s arrival at ADE in January, the office was scheduled to be permanently closed at the end of this year. The Tucson Certification office, located at 400 W. Congress St., room 223, will be open Wednesdays from 8 am-4 pm starting Jan. 6 and will increase those service times to two days a week starting in May through the summer. The expanded days and times of service are expected to ease the burden placed on southern Arizona educators who need assistance during the certification process but are not based near ADE’s main office in Phoenix.
