Tom Jenney, State Director - Americans for Prosperity Arizona: The US Supreme Court has pressed the Pause button on the Obama administration's carbon rule, which would force states to reduce emissions over a number of years. This is good news. The regulation would drive up our electrical bills, throw thousands of hard-working Arizonans out of work, and destroy the economies of many rural towns. Please send your Arizona Legislators an email TODAY, urging them to hold the line and help press the STOP button. Arizona should not work to comply with these legally dubious regulations EPA unless the Court determines we must, and until our state takes steps to ensure that plan protects our access to affordable, reliable energy to power our lives.

Tony Pierce to ABC15 Arizona: I am the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills. As you know Donald Trump was in our town today. You also know that there were protesters that closed down the roads into Fountain Hills. Unfortunately, caught up in this was my Music Pastor, who also has a private construction business (Desert Rock), he was stopped with his truck and trailer at the beginning of the road block. CNN shows his truck & trailer on national TV, along with his phone number on the side of the trailer...they said he was part of the blockade. This is not true, he just happened to be one of the first ones stopped by the protestors. As a result of CNN claiming he was part of the blockade and showing the picture with his trailer and phone numbers he is receiving many threatening phone calls, threats of boycotting his business & threats of bodily harm. This could cost him his livelihood and possible physical harm. man-caught-in-anti-trump-blockade-gets-death-threats The truth needs to be put out there, and this misinformation corrected. Behind The Scenes Yesterday, Presidential candidate Donald J Trump took the time to thank the law enforcement officers who were assigned to his rally in Fountain Hills Saturday noon. He not only thanked them, he posed for a group photo with all of them. Incidentally, he is known to do this for the law enforcement fellows at every stop he makes. “The police in our country do not get respect. Our law enforcement officers deserve our appreciation for the incredible job they do,” Trump said.
As You May Recall, Law Enforcement had to deal with a protestor tied to car , another reportedly chained to a vehicle, and protestors who blocked the highway leading into Fountain Hills. sheriff-joe-arrests-arizona-road-block-protesters-obstructing-traffic Editor’s Note: While the protestors got plenty of national coverage, the local folks who were sitting in that back up of traffic don’t view them very kindly. How would you like to be sitting in a hot car for an hour or so with no where to get a drink of water, go to the bathroom, and sooth a cranky toddler? It’s one thing to protest by carrying signs, but when protestors interpret motorists travel plans, cause people to miss meetings, create great discomfort for elderly drivers and young children, they have gone too far. No matter who you are backing for Prexy, it is pretty self-centered to disrupt roadways so you can deprive other people of their right to hear the candidates.
Political Consultant Constantin Querard: Finally getting dug out after last night's Ted Cruz rally. First off, thank you to everyone who helped organize it. The PAC had a first class team and they did a great job. Special mention to Len Munsil and his great crew at Arizona Christian University. From top to bottom, they were great to work with. And of course to the several thousand people who came out, it was awesome to be surrounded by so many fellow conservatives who recognize how important it is to the very survival of our country, that we elect a real conservative as President of the United States. It is a grave responsibility, but everyone made it a lot of fun last night! THANK YOU! Editor’s Note: The facility where Cruz met with Arizona fans has a capacity of roughly 2,000, according to school officials.
LD 22 will meet at 6:30 pm., Mon., March 21 at the Westbrook Village Recreation Center. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Please bring a food dish for the buffet. Contact Secretary Van DiCarlo
KKK-Leader-Favors-Democrat-Candidate-For President; Media-Silent “Will Quigg, the Grand Dragon of the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan announced his pick for President. Sorry, liberals, it was not Donald Trump. It was none other than the Democratic queen and darling Hillary Clinton. As is typical of the hypocritical media, they simply ignored Quigg’s remarks and unlike the David Duke – Donald Trump controversy, not a single member of the mainstream media screamed Mrs. Clinton must disavow.”
Corporation Commissioner Bob Stump addressed the Institute for Electric Innovation’s “Poweing the People” this week in Washington, DC. He says, “I was still pondering a Trump supporter labeling me a ‘Harvard pretty boy’ when I received yet another backhanded comment: It was a "weirdly brilliant and eminently quotable" talk, according to Utility Dive. I'll take it.”

Christina Sandefur, Executive Vice President, Goldwater Institute, will address the April 16 Fountain Hills Republican Club meeting. The speaker for May 21st is not yet confirmed. The June 18th speaker will be County Attorney Bill Montgomery.
A Very Unscientific Straw Poll was conducted at the Saturday morning Fountain Hills Republican Club breakfast. Only 36 of the slightly less than 100 people in attendance responded, according to Sec. Boe James. Most did not fill out all the questions which were: 1) Who is your first choice, 2) Who is your second choice, and 3) Who do you think will win. The choices were 1) Senator Ted Cruz, 2) Governor John Kasich, 3) Mr. Donald trump, 4) Anyone but Hillary.
The results were:
- First Choice: Cruz 14, Kasich 5, Trump 16, AB Hillary 3 (note one person voted Kasich and ABH. another voted Trump and ABH)
- Second Choice: Cruz 10, Kasich 2, Trump 6, . ABH 6 (note many did not fill out a second choice, particularly those who voted for Trump for first choice.
- Expected winner: Cruz 3, Kasich 3, Trump 6, ABH 4 and one person wrote in the (s)he expected Hillary to win.

Scottsdale City Councilwoman Incumbent Virginia Korte: For years I have said that we have one of the very best fire departments and group of firefighters in the country. We recently received great news that proves it. Every 10 years the Insurance Services Organization (ISO) rates cities on the level of protection provided to citizens by their fire services organizations. During the past decade, our city has improved from a Class 3 to a Class 2 rating. Of the nearly 49,000 communities across the country that are rated by the ISO, only 2% have achieved this prestigious classification. For a fire department that is only 10 years old, I believe that’s a terrific accomplishment and something in which we can all take pride. Even more important is that our city’s new safety classification means a majority of our business, commercial and residential property owners are expected to enjoy savings on their insurance rates. I hope you will join me in thanking Fire Chief Tom Shannon, Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Jim Ford, President of the Scottsdale Firefighters Association Sasha Weller and all Scottsdale Firefighters for the work they do for us. Their teamwork truly pays off for the citizens of Scottsdale. The collaboration between the men and women who provide us with our fire and emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is only one of the many examples of how city employees are delivering the top-notch services that help make Scottsdale so special. They’re putting Scottsdale first
