John-McCains-Campaign-Field-Director-Arrested-For-Disorderly-Conduct; Could-Face-Federal-Charges In a bizarre turn of events, U.S. Senator John McCain's field director for his 2016 re-election campaign, Blaze Baggs, was arrested by Yavapai-Prescott tribal police on February 23 and booked into county jail on a charge of disorderly conduct for allegedly tearing a sign off a casino wall in Prescott…

Cindy Hill, former Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction, was at the Capitol this week talking to legislators about education turbulence in Wyoming during her tenure. As you may recall she was stripper of her power as Supt., then had it returned to her following a court order. In the meantime, former Arizona legislator Richard Crandall had taken her position – which he lost when she regained it. Comparing her experience with what Arizona Supt of Public Instruction Diane Douglas is going through with S1416, Hill says it about political power and governors attempting to take control of education.
160307-1605 – Opt Out And Ballot Harvesting By Jose Borrajero
· SB1455 The parent/student opt out bill: This bill has Failed in the senate 3rd reading 11-18-1. It failed because 7 Republicans joined all Democrats in voting against it. The 7 Republicans were Kavanagh, Pierce, Driggs, Lesko, Begay, Dial, Worsley. You may be well advised to remember these senators’ votes when they request your assistance with their reelection.
· HB2023 The bill aimed at reducing ballot harvesting: This bill is still in play and it may come up for senate votes this week. THE RTS Comments On This Bill Have Been Running About 40% For And 60% Against. If we expect senators to vote in favor of this important bill, we have to do a lot better than we have been doing so far. Clearly the other side is cleaning our clock on this. But there is still time. It is still scheduled for a Rules committee hearing, which means RTS comments are still allowed. This is the action that we are recommending:
1. First, make up your mind that the issue of ballot harvesting is important to you. Then…
2. Call, e-mail, or fax every senator, requesting a YES vote on HB2023
3. Make sure you have a “FOR” vote registered at the RTS.
4. Encourage everyone you know to do the same.
A recent article on the Arizona Daily Independent provides ample evidence of the exposure to potential mischief that results when voters surrender their ballots to people other than postal or elections personnel. Lyle J. Rapacki,Ph.D: The coming election is simply the most critical election of modern time. One of the foundational issues is border security and the continued inflow of illegals. For those of us who live in Border States, the significance of the issue is not lost on us since we live with the reality of huge numbers of illegals flowing into the Southwest. Investigative Reporter John Fonte of National Review magazine has just released the findings of his investigation into Sen. Marco Rubio’s membership with the “Gang of Eight” in the US Senate, and this group’s development and steering of legislation of pro-amnesty. This deeply flawed legislation will forever change the culture of America, and Marco Rubio’s involvement truly needs to be evaluated far more closely than it has. John Fonte’s report and findings mentioned below is a step in the examination process. marco-rubio-and-the-gang-of-eight-a-serious-immigration-dilemma.
Immediate Past Chairman AZ GOP Tom Morrissey: Is there any difference between the words of "those who know better than we" in our party and those of Barack Obama, and his minions? We have to ask ourselves this question: "are we done with this... Really done?" Because if we are, then there is no way that we should give an inch to them when they have taken miles from us, to satisfy their lust for power. I will cede them nothing and will refuse to tolerate their insane rush to the destruction of something they have no right to destroy, because it does not belong to them. There has been too much blood spilled in the name of liberty to allow any one of these despicable tyrants to tell us who they will allow, or not allow, to be president of this great nation. That right belongs to the people, and to them alone. Hey Establishment, I'm talking to you and I'm just one of many, many voices.

Congressman Matt Salmon: “This weekend, the world was saddened by news that Mrs. Nancy Reagan, former First Lady of the United States, passed away. As first lady of both California and America, Mrs. Reagan advanced an agenda that advocated for the most vulnerable in our society. Her ‘Just Say No’ program not only raised awareness of the scourge of drug abuse, but actively helped young people by giving them a way to fight peer pressure. Mrs. Reagan’s battle against breast cancer made her a symbol of strength and resilience, while still exemplifying the grace and poise our nation had always known. Her dedication, commitment, and passion for her family, and our country, will never be forgotten. My prayers are with the Reagan family, and may God grant Mrs. Nancy Reagan eternal rest.”
Pima GOP Chairman Bill Beard: On behalf of the Pima County Republican Party we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Former First Lady Nancy Reagan. Grace, Style, Humor and Devotion were epitomized in the life she lead in public and in private. May she forever rest in peace beside her co-star and partner.

Congrats to Meghan Cox has won the prestigious 40 Under 40 Award from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC).
Congressman Paul A. Gosar after the National Park Service listed the public campground in Pinal County, Arizona, known as Oak Flat, in the National Register of Historic Places late Friday night, despite multiple bipartisan requests to withdraw the fundamentally-flawed nomination: “Shame on the Park Service and Forest Service for ramming a bogus historic place listing down the throats of Arizonans. Clearly, the Obama Administration cares more about pandering to extremist environmental groups and a D.C. lobbyist from the Clinton Administration than following the law and listening to the American public. Oak Flat has never been a sacred site, as confirmed by the local tribe’s own former historian. Yet, Obama’s minions are hell-bent on sabotaging an important mining effort by listing a small, public campground 20 miles away from the nearest tribe’s reservation as a historic site. The agency’s attempt to silence public comments through deceptive notices and short comment periods is outrageous and inexcusable. Neighboring tribal members who have seen unemployment numbers as high as 70%, a Superior community in dire need of good-paying jobs and Americans throughout the country all need this important mining project. A bipartisan Congress and the president have declared the land exchange for this copper mine to be the law of the land. That should have been the end of it. But blatantly deceitful collaboration that ignores the Rule of Law cannot be tolerated. This fraudulent action is the latest in a long list of egregious bureaucratic abuses of power by the Obama Administration. I will continue to fight this overreach.”
Airline-Boots-Christian-For-Prayer-On-Phone 'I don't think anyone, irrespective of their religion, should be treated in such a way' … A Christian business analyst was booted from a flight from the United Kingdom to Amsterdam when his seatmate, reading on the man’s smartphone as he typed messages, apparently saw the word “prayer” and reported him to authorities as a possible security threat. The Christian Institute said the Christian man, Laolu Opebiyi, who was born in Nigeria, was using the WhatsApp program to set up a prayer meeting with friends.
U.S. Senator John McCain: “Although Cindy and I are terribly saddened by the news of former First Lady Nancy Reagan’s passing, we take comfort in the faith that she has been reunited at long last with her beloved “Ronnie,” the 40th President of the United States. Theirs was a genuine partnership of kindred spirits, who were deeply and unceasingly in love, a partnership that benefited a nation as well as a couple. Nancy Reagan was an example to us all of graciousness, loyalty and dignity in good times and bad. She was an exemplary First Lady, and a generous friend. I will always be grateful for her and her husband’s many kindnesses to my family. And I will always remember her as a dear friend and patriot and as one-half of a love story that Hollywood couldn’t have written any better.”
