As Of Mid-Morning Sat., April 9, there were reportedly 841 candidates wanting to represent the AZGOP at the National Convention in July in Cleveland. Can you imagine the size of that ballot? On April 30, Arizona delegates will select 55 delegates and 55 alternates to accompany AZGOP chairman Robert Graham, and the RNC national committeeman and committeewoman to the national convention where the nominee for the national ticket will be chosen.
Thank You For All Of The Birthday wishes Editor Frosty Taylor received yesterday for reaching her 79th milestone.
Maricopa County Sheriff Candidate Marsha Hall will be introducing herself to the LD23 precinct committeemen at the 6:30pm., Thurs., April 14 LD23 meeting in Scottsdale.
LD23 Edith Stock: So appreciate your prompt reply and publishing my comments! Having a positive experience within our Party seems all too rare. You provided one for me. Thanks
Former West Valley PC Wayne Blair: If I was still a part of the AZGOP process, I’m sure that I would be attending the Convention on April 30 and whole hearted agree with grassroots leader A.J. LaFaro. But I do see that the Convention leaders will most likely not allow the resolution be brought to the floor and at that time is when the Convention will become illegal. If the grassroots organization has any balls, and I’m sure there are more of the grassroots people going/elected to be delegates would walk out, then there would not be enough people to have a quorum to make any legal decisions. In my opinion, John McCain is a RINO/GOPe which has did nothing but line his pocket with TAX PAYER $$$$ and be part of the GOOD OLE BOYS CLUB that needs to be broke up to save this Nation. Thanks and keep up the good work Frosty.
Activists Don and Patti Woolley: Rep. Martha McSally is right about SR189 and it needs to be improved as a prime transportation corridor at the Mariposa Port of Entry. However, also overlooked is the Tucson Port of Entry, http://portoftucson.net/, and with respect to that, the Railroad flyover in Nogales, Arizona needs to get on the drawing board and built. Not only for the better movement of Intermodal traffic and the shipment of Ford autos from Hermosillo, Mexico, by the Union Pacific RR, but also for the citizens of Nogales and their roads and safety. RR traffic across the city needs to be relieved with the construction of a flyover for the RR, ahead of the increased traffic anticipated from their new deep water port at Guaymas, and the increase in auto manufacturing in Hermosillo. The Santa Cruz Valley corridor is the Railroad link from the Port of Guaymas to the Tucson Port of Entry, the gateway to the United States from Guaymas, Mexico, via Ferromex and Union Pacific.

Under the guise of creating national monuments, the Obama Administration and its environmental allies are sabotaging important energy development, grazing rights, water rights and other recreational activities with the stroke of a pen, regardless of input from communities affected by these designations. To block this misguided effort, it is crucial to show significant local opposition.” Residents need to testify as to how this potential designation could negatively impact them or their neighborhood. HB 2338, the AzCDL-requested bill that would prohibit the governing boards of educational institutions from banning firearms on public rights of way, such as city streets and sidewalks that happen to pass through campuses, only needs to pass a Senate Third Read floor vote before being sent to the Governor. send your letter.
HB 2524, the AzCDL-requested bill that would establish an interstate compact that restricts member states from enacting firearms transfer requirements that are more restrictive than existing federal law, only needs to pass a Senate Third Read floor vote before being sent to the Governor. send your letter.
SB 1257 is the AzCDL-requested bill that would exempt CCW permit holders from being disarmed when entering state and local government controlled property unless everyone entering is screened for weapons. SB 1257 needs to pass out of the House Rules Committee in order to proceed to a House Committee of the Whole (COW) hearing. We have been assured by Speaker of the House David Gowan that SB 1257 will be heard in the House Rules Committee this coming week. We still need your help in keeping pressure on House members to pass this important legislation. send your letter.
