Activist Art Olivas: “We keep reading in Frosty’s Briefs about how Robert Graham has a lot of Republicans mad as Hell! -- ‘PCs Interested In joining those considering taking legal action against AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham and the Arizona Republican Party over the $50 required admission fee to the April 30 AZGOP Convention in Phoenix, are asked to contact LD26 PC and former Marine Matt Papke 480-242-2208 or’   I was against Graham before he got elected Chairman the first time in 2013! You may remember that Rob Haney wrote about a Hit Piece. Nobody paid attention to me about Graham then. Nobody paid attention again in 2015 when I was sending out information on how Graham was dividing the Republican Party. I also inform you that he would give Hispanics token help when running for office. Please Pay Attention as I have said this over a dozen times. When we got the Bathroom and Homosexual Bill there was no help from the Good ole boys at the AZGOP. There is nothing that happens in Arizona without the approval, consent and blessing of the Republican Party's Establishment. The Republican Elites have been running Arizona forever - Under Graham the ‘Conservative Cause Moved Forward’ to ‘Make Great Gains in State and Nation’. Is this Joke what these endorsers of Graham want us to believe? Who is helping us? I don't believe Graham will share any part of the $50 (state convention delegate fee) with them.”

"The News That Democrat Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick is hob-knobbing with big money left-wing Hollywood donors is another example of her choosing to spend time with liberal elites over Arizona voters," said Lorna Romero, Sen John McCain’s Communications Director.  "After a decade in office, Congresswoman Kirkpatrick's only record of accomplishment is increasing taxes on Arizona's families and serving as a rubber-stamp for Obama's liberal policies. Right now, as Arizonans prepare to finalize their taxes, they are grappling with higher costs and more regulation because of Obamacare and the rest of Congresswoman Kirkpatrick's liberal agenda. Congresswoman Kirkpatrick continues to tout Obamacare as her proudest vote, a clear indication that she puts the Democratic agenda before the well-being of Arizona families."

Presidential candidate Donald Trump said the political system is "stacked against me" and accused the Republican Party of conspiring to stop him from clinching the party's nomination. At a CNN town hall with his family ahead of next Tuesday's crucial New York primary, Trump said: "I know the rules very well, but I know it's stacked against me by the establishment." Ivanka Trump criticized as "onerous" the New York registration laws that will keep her and her brother Eric from casting primary votes for their father. Trump’s town hall on CNN TV, and CNN Mobile.CNN is also hosting a town hall with Sen. Ted Cruz on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET. On Thursday night, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders take part in a CNN debate.

Congressman Paul A. Gosar after the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) announced a draft recreational boating Compatibility Determination (CD) for the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge and the agency’s intent to pursue more motorized boating closures on Lake Havasu: “This is something you’d expect to see on an episode of Rogue Bureaucrats Gone Wild. The Refuge already prohibits motorized boating on 17.5 miles in Lake Havasu and the Service has not proven any legitimate justification for expanding the scope of these boating restrictions. In fact, the Service has admitted that last May’s arbitrary boating closure was not based on science or merit. To make matters worse, the Service tried to mislead my staff and the public by indicating that this new Compatibility Determination could provide an opportunity to reopen the ½ mile in the mouth of Lake Havasu that the Service arbitrarily closed to motorized boating two days before Memorial Day weekend without public comment last year. Shamefully, the Service never had any plans to reopen this area and is now moving forward with more nonsensical closures. Unsurprisingly, the Service doesn’t even have the courage to hold a public meeting on these new proposed closures in Arizona. Holding two meetings three hours a part in Nevada on a Tuesday when working people from Arizona can’t attend doesn’t cut it. The Service just rubbed salt in the wound. I plan to double my efforts to hold this agency accountable for its deceptive actions and will continue to do everything in my power to keep Lake Havasu open for the American people.”

Bills Designed To Restrict What The President can do with the Guantanamo Bay detention facility are rolling in from Congress, with two more coming in the last two days. The latest bills come from a pair of Kansas Republicans. Kansas is home to one of the sites the Pentagon examined to house detainees should the Guantanamo facility close.First up, on Monday, Rep. Lynn Jenkins introduced a bill that would halt transfers to foreign countries until Sept. 30, 2017. The bill would also make permanent the current prohibition on transferring detainees to the United States.Read more about Jenkins' bill here.

Arizona Corporation Commissioners Approved An Agreement that will allow Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA) to take over Arizona Windsong Company’s customers, ensuring safer water at a lower rate. Arizona Windsong, has been struggling to maintain its infrastructure and provide water to its 69 customers in Sanders, Arizona. The well is contaminated with uranium and is unsafe to drink. NTUA serves nearly 40,000 electric and water customers, nearly 14,000 wastewater customers, and just under 8,000 natural gas customers in the area. NTUA is able to connect Arizona Windsong customers to their system immediately. NTUA will apply their current rates which will result in an average of a 41% reduction in the former Arizona Windsong customers’ bills.

Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee: "The Air Force's decision to select Davis-Monthan Air Force Base as a candidate base location for the F-35A Lightening II is a testament to our hardworking airmen training at one of the premier combat aviation bases in the country. I'm confident that as the Air Force continues to finalize its site-selection process, Davis-Monthan will stand out as the best home for this vital aircraft, aided by its combination of ideal climate, community support, and access to the invaluable Goldwater Range. I've always been proud of Arizona's strong military presence, and look forward to seeing the continued contributions our military service members make to the security of the nation."

Congresswoman Martha McSally spoke on the House floor in recognition of Equal Pay Day. Watch HERE. “Mr. Speaker, in 1963, the Equal Pay Act was signed into law making it illegal for an employer to pay a woman less than a man for the same work. Yet, the reality is that today, over 50 years later, women are still making less than men. This is unacceptable and something which we all have a stake in fixing. Here in the House, we are working on putting forward ideas and solutions to empower women to fight for equal pay. We also must continue to encourage young girls to enter STEM and other higher paying fields and to make sure they know they can be whatever they want to be. Lastly, we must do a better job recognizing that caring for aging parents or children is a responsibility for women and men in our society. Mr. Speaker, I’ve been fighting my whole life for women’s rights and equality. I know we still have work to do and am committed to making equal opportunity for women a reality. After all, this is America, where we pick the best man for the job, even if it’s a woman – and that means making sure she’s getting paid what she deserves. With that, I yield back.”

Sen John McCain: “Despite the severity of this national scandal, whistleblowers in Arizona continue to report serious failures at the VA, including gross scheduling violations that closely resemble the widespread wait-time manipulation that led to the crisis of denied and delayed care in the first place. I’m calling on the VA Inspector General to conduct a rigorous investigation of these serious allegations, and if found true, the Justice Department to hold individuals responsible for any criminal activity accountable. It’s past time for this Administration to root-out wrongdoing at the VA by holding corrupt executives accountable and finally reforming the culture that is denying our veterans the care they deserve.” (April 8, 2016)
