Republican Briefs

Editor - Frosty Taylor repcomm@cox.net or frostytaylor@cox.net   Web Master John Strasser

If You Have Been Elected As A Delegate/Alternate For The AZGOP State Convention, be sure to get your $50 credential fee check to your LD chairman by Sat., April 9 so you get seated at the convention.

State Convention Delegate/Former Maricopa County Republican Chairman A J LaFaro has re-submitted a “Resolution Calling For The Resignation of AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham” to be inserted into the April 30 State Convention call letter/agenda. The original resolution was submitted to the AZGOP on March 14, 2016 in accordance with Continuing Bylaws of the Arizona Republican Party (AZGOP) Article VI Section F. Resolutions Arizona_Republican_Party_Bylaws.

     On March 15, 2016, LaFaro received an e-mail from Graham stating "I have received your resolution and it will be presented to the Resolutions Committee in due time." LaFaro says, “Unfortunately, my First Amendment Rights under the U.S. Constitution and rights as an AZGOP Precinct and State Committeeman were then violated by Tim Sifert, AZGOP Director of Communications, and Robert Graham, AZGOP Chairman, in rejecting the resolution in an e-mail fromSifert dated March 16, 2016.

     “I was elected a LD18 state delegate on April 5, 2016.  I have completed all of the required AZGOP follow-up paperwork and even wrote a check under protest for the $50 poll tax.
      “I am resubmitting the resolution entitled ‘AZGOP State Convention Delegates' Resolution Demanding Chairman Robert Graham Resign’.  I expect, no I insist, the resolution be included in the official Call Letter to the AZGOP 2016 State Convention scheduled for April 30, 2016.”
LaFaro is a LD18 precinct and state committeeman.

 AZGOP State Convention Delegates’ Resolution

Demanding Chairman Robert Graham Resign

We, the 2016 State Convention Delegates of the Arizona Republican Party (AZGOP) are obligated to hold all of our leaders accountable for their actions.  Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both in as much Robert Graham is by far one of the worst Party Chairman the AZGOP has ever endured.  So with conviction we rise and declare:
WHEREAS, Chairman Robert Graham

  1. has continued to violate the Arizona Revised Statutes, the Bylaws of the Arizona Republican Party, the bylaws of several of the County and Legislative District Republican Committees, and the latest Edition of Robert’s Rules of Order; and
  2. has repeatedly disregarded and disrespected the will of an overwhelming majority of the AZGOP State and Precinct Committeemen; and

  1. has conducted dictatorial actions that have been calculated and an insidious conspiracy - including but not limited to the unconstitutional 2016 State Convention poll tax - for his personal benefit, the benefit of his cronies and the Republican establishment cabal.

BE IT RESOLVED that Robert Graham’s constant intimidation, bullying, overreach and unilateral policies will no longer be tolerated;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the AZGOP State Convention Delegates censure Robert Graham for his continued disservice to our Party, State and Nation;

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED the AZGOP State Convention Delegates have lost confidence in Robert Graham, will no longer support him or his actions and demand his immediate resignation.

Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) President Dave Kopp: Folks like us know security is a personal responsibility and take it seriously. Unfortunately, some people are seduced by the lie “Universal” Background Checks would improve security. It doesn’t and it can’t. Billionaire gun grabbers like Michael Bloomberg will spend their fortunes lying to Arizonans. help to fight back Truth is, “Universal” Background Checks will erode your security. It’ll start by criminalizing private transfers of your personal property. Even loaning to a friend will require a “Universal” Background Check. Inevitably, this will lead to a firearm registry and confiscation. I don’t have to tell you how dangerous that’d be for Arizona. We can’t allow our friends and neighbors to be lured by false promises of security and must fight back against lies with the truth.help fight Bloomberg’s Billions.
