Yellow Sheet Reports That LD13 House Candidate Don Shooter has written  to AZ lawmakers assuring them – if elected House Speaker – he will cut back on the booze/jokes and tone down his behavior. It is no secret at 1700 W Washington, that Shooters behavior has been a source of concerned for some time among lawmakers. Those who remember the headlines when US Sen Paul Fannin got picked up for DUI in Phoenix in the 1970s known the GOP doesn’t need that kind of publicity again. Shooter will be competing against LD13 Darrin Mitchell for the Speaker position. Shooter is running for the House in the 2016 Primary Election to allow LD13 House Rep Steve Montenegro, who is termed out as a Representative, to run for a Senate seat. Shooter plans to run for the senate again in two years. LD13 senate candidates include Montenegro, Diane Landis and William Gonzales – who will probably run as a write in candidate. LD13 House candidates include Mitchell, Shooter and Ray Kouns, who has been challenged by Shooters political consultant Constantin “CQ” Querard regarding having enough signatures to qualify for the Aug 30 primary ballot. A hearing is scheduled this morning on Querard vs Kouns. -ft

LD 13 Legislative Candidates are welcome to make short presentations to the Wickenburg Republican Club on at 7 pm., Mon, June 27 at the Lifeline Ambulance Training Center, 1155 N Tegner in Wickenburg. Contact Chr Frosty Taylor at

LD30 PC Timothy Schwartz: Donald Trump was in Phoenix on Saturday...(AZGOP Chairman) Robert Graham comes to the podium and does this 'not so clever' maneuver talk about 'the nominee', never once mentioning the name of Donald J Trump. Then Sheriff Joe comes to the mic and calls out Graham and others who can't come to terms of using Trumps name. Good to see Graham get blistered! Overdue. No one can ever accuse Arpaio of being gutless. It was historic. arpaio-sheriff-joe-calls-out-gutless-republicans

When Presumptive GOP Presidential Nominee Donald Trump’s camp reported having 70 employees across the nation, Alexis Tameron, Chairman of the Arizona Dem Party, let it be known that the Dems have more employees than that in Arizona alone. Hmmm. Maybe commentary about Trump’s leadership team in Arizona being “asleep” isn’t so far off target.  Remember how the Establishment out-manuevered Trumps Nevada based Arizona State Director  Charles Munoz’s during the Arizona State Convention which resulted in only two Trump delegates vs 25 plus Ted Cruz backers getting elected to the National Convention -- even though the PPE went heavily for Trump just prior to the AZGOP state convention. It’s common knowledge the Trump’s State Director Jeff DeWit, AZ State Treasurer, chewed on Monoz and deputy director Thayer Verschoor within earshoot of observers over that fiasco. Insiders questioned why Trump didn’t send them packing back then. Others questioned Munoz singing the praises of AZGOP Robert Graham – who hadn’t exactly been a Trump fan during Trumps prior visits. – ft

The Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family in partnership with the Commission on Service and Volunteerism is accepting nominations for Arizona’s top honor in volunteerism. Nominations of local honorees will be accepted through July 15, 2016, with the award recipient announcement made in November.  A statewide panel of judges will recommend the award recipients in the following categories:  Lifetime Community Service, Service to Others, Inspired Youth Leadership, and Stewardship.  The awards are presented each year to recognize Arizona citizens who are already making a positive difference in their towns and neighborhoods.  Over the past 14 years, more than 100 Arizonans have been officially recognized for their volunteer efforts.  These individuals and groups were champions in their communities and demonstrated extraordinary efforts to improve the world around them. Maricopa County Sheriff Candidate Dan Saban to Former AZGOP First Lady Kris Morrissey. Mrs. Morrissey: I’m confident you know your husband and I do not see eye to eye on many issues. However, I have to say I am very disappointed, and somewhat alarmed, at the manner in which you both were disrespected, and “snubbed,” at the recent Republican Presidential Candidate event at the Coliseum. The fact both of you were denied entry to a well-deserved VIP section is just plain wrong and very disrespectful. You and your husband have dedicated thousands of hours to our Party here in Arizona. I pray there is at the very least, a meaningful and sincere apology coming your way. Thank you again for your ongoing dedication to our party.

GOP Town Crier Jim Ely: In an elected position of representation, it is incumbent on the elected to REPRESENT the will of those who did the electing to represent them!  Here in Arizona we have the weakest bunch of state committeemen, and state party executive committee, one can imagine.  It never ceases to amaze, when the state party leadership, the state and federal elected can just do their own thing, why in the hell do we have a party???  A political party system was not established to be a secondary campaign committee, it was to provide leadership and representation to those who did the electing.  According to their mission statement, seemed like the AzRA was established to try and correct this with the AZ GOP.  Would anyone care to explain just what they have accomplished??  What does anyone throughout the state hear from the AzRA.  Can one imagine how much we would be in the dark if it wasn’t for the MCRC briefs?  Anyway, if those self-centered establishment party rulers can manage to get the rules changed at the National Convention and somehow overcome the will of WE THE PEOPLE, one will see the start of the demise of what is now known as the Republican Party and the rise of liberalism and a very liberal Supreme Court for years to come!  And, what has your AZ GOP done to combat that?

Congressman Martha Mcsally’s Crew will be walking in three different Fourth of July parades in Arizona – Benson, Bisbee and Vail. Volunteers who would like to join the McSally campaign team will be given T-shirts, stickers and signs to carry. Volunteers should contact: Political Director Anthony Barry at or call (520) 488-4610.

In The Aftermath Of The Orlando Terrorist Attack, the fact that Omar Mateen was twice investigated by the FBI has many wondering why he was allowed to purchase firearms and why the FBI wasn’t aware of his plans for terror. Here are the key details about U.S. terrorist watch lists and what they do.The Terrorist Screening Database is the official name for the main terrorist watch list; it is maintained by the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center. The terrorist watch list is the central U.S. repository of known and suspected terrorists, both foreign and domestic. The list receives names of suspected international terrorists from the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment, maintained by the National Counterterrorism Center in connection with the U.S. intelligence community and security agencies that have information on terrorists. It also receives data on domestic terrorists from the FBI. The  terrorist watch list includes only information used to identify terrorists. The database itself does not include classified information on terrorists regarding what they have done and how we have been tracking them. This classified information is maintained in the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment for foreign terrorists, and at the FBI for domestic terrorists. RNC-Demands-Clinton-Aides-Emails-Be-Released-Before-Election The Republican National Committee (RNC) is slamming the State Department’s “tortoise-like review” of emails to or from three senior Hillary Clinton aides, demanding they be released before the November election. Two weeks after the Obama administration claimed that it would take at least 75 years to process the documents demanded as part of an open records lawsuit, the RNC filed a court motion accusing the government of using “stall tactics” and misleading legal tricks. Information about presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is needed now, the RNC said. “In an election year, stale information is of no value at all,” RNC lawyers wrote in the filing late Monday evening. “If there were ever a case for enforcing the public-disclosure laws that Congress enacted, it is this one. The American people should not have to wait decades to learn the truth about Secretary Clinton’s tenure at the State Department. They are entitled to know the truth before voting in November.” Contact: RNC Research Director and Deputy Communications Director Raj Shah (202) 863-5356 Cell: (203) 505-5737 @rajshah84

Secretary of State Michelle Reagan: It doesn’t seem possible, but in less than a month, election officials around the state will begin sending out ballots for the August primary to military voters overseas. To make it easier for people to connect with the candidates they’ll see on the ballot in August, we’ve launched a unique platform that displays the 200+ candidates who have filed to run for public office. Our Consolidated Candidate Platform can be easily accessed by visiting www.Arizona.Vote. The website includes candidate bios, contact information, financial disclosures and links to official nomination paperwork. Plus, we’ll be keeping you up-to-date on the action in the courts as candidates file complaints on everything from campaign finance to petition challenges. We feel like people should be better able to inform themselves without bureaucratic red tape, costs and senseless hurdles. We live in a digital age, and we’re doing our best to make sure government acts like it.

Congressman Paul Gosar’s week: Last Tuesday, his Prescott staff attended the Yavapai Veterans Memorial Plaque Ceremony where 32 new names of Yavapai County residents who gave their lives serving our country were added. Now, these heroes’ names will never be forgotten. Click HERE to learn more about the individual stories of these great Arizonans. Met with representatives of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry in my Washington D.C. office. Joined the Girl Scouts of the USA in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Gold Award, the most prestigious award in Girl Scouting. This week, as the entire Girl Scout movement celebrates the centennial on Capitol Hill, I would like to applaud the Girl Scout councils that serve in Arizona for building girls of courage, confidence and character. This includes the incredible young ladies of Troop 626 from Yuma who I recently spent time with in the Arizona State Capitol.

Sen. Jeff Flake: Politico is reporting that Sen. Flake is working with a small group of Republican colleagues to craft legislation that would bar suspected terrorists from buying guns. Read the full story here.

· Key Takeaway: “…the emerging proposal would merge the no-fly list and Secondary Security Screening Selection list — which makes airplane passengers eligible for extra scrutiny — rather than use another database that's so broad it can snag the likes of former Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), for example. If someone on those smaller lists tries to buy a firearm, they would be barred from doing so but would be allowed to appeal that decision to an appellate court. The legislation would include a five-year lookback that notifies the FBI of the purchase, which would apply to people like Orlando shooter Omar Mateen, who had been on the feds’ radar but dropped off in 2014."

Admin’s Planned Lake Havasu Boating Restrictions Halted: Today’s News-Herald in Lake Havasu is reporting that joint effort by Sen. Flake, Sen. McCain, and Rep. Gosar has successfully halted the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s plan to impose onerous restrictions on recreational boating at Lake Havasu. Read the full story here. Earlier in the week, Sen. Flake sent a letter to Fish and Wildlife urging them to not proceed with the rule. Read Sen. Flake’s letter here.

· Key Takeaway: "I really appreciate Congressman Gosar, Sen. McCain and Sen. Flake for coming to the assistance of Lake Havasu City," [Lake Havasu City Mayor Mike] Nexsen said. "Nobody gets any of this done by themselves and all of the community input helped tremendously as well."

US Senators John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Richard Burr (R-NC, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, joined Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Jeff Sessions (R-AL) in filing an amendment to the Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations Act that would clarify the authorities of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to allow it to obtain electronic communication transactional records in the course of security investigations. The amendment would also make permanent existing authorities under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act that allow for the monitoring of non-U.S. citizen “lone wolf” attackers who do not have direct connections to foreign terrorist organizations. “In the wake of the tragic massacre in Orlando, it is important our law enforcement have the tools they need to conduct counterterrorism investigations and track ‘lone wolves,’ or ISIL-inspired terrorists who do not have direct connections to foreign terrorist organizations but who seek to harm Americans,” said McCain. “My amendment would do just that by enacting the ‘ECTR Fix,’ which would allow the FBI to obtain non-content electronic communication transaction records to investigate suspected terrorists, and by allowing our law enforcement to combat ‘lone wolves.’ To be clear, this amendment would not allow the FBI access to the content of private messages, but will only allow law enforcement to look at non-content electronic communication transactional records in the course of a national security investigation, such as how much time a suspicious individual spends on a website.”

US Sen John McCain is leading the fight to maintain search and rescue capability at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma (MCAS Yuma). The 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) prohibits the Marine Corps from retiring the last search and rescue unit in the country located at MCAS Yuma. This unique search and rescue unit provides critical assistance for military air operations and civilian and local law enforcement in the region. More than half of all Marine aviation offensives are flown out of MCAS Yuma which necessitates keeping this vital asset for safety reasons for military pilots as well as for local needs.
