The Trump Team Reports Setting A Goal to raise $2 million in 48 hours, which presumptive Presidential candidate Donald Trump committed to match $1 for $1. It took just 12 hours to hit this mark – which reportedly stunned the Clinton campaign and the liberal media!

Disgraced-Ex-Un-Officials-Death-Conveniently-Timed Set To Testify The Same day – The death by barbell of disgraced UN official John Ashe could become a bigger obsession for conspiracy theorists than Vince Foster’s 1993 suicide. Ashe — who was facing trial for tax fraud — died Wednesday afternoon in his house in Westchester County. The UN said he’d had a heart attack. But the local Dobbs Ferry police said Thursday that his throat had been crushed, presumably by a barbell he dropped while pumping iron.

Former LD13 Chairman Robert Branch: Hawaii, you are unconstitutional! Hawaii becomes the first state to place their gun owners on the FBI criminal database. This is government overreach and should not be allowed. Can you imagine beginning placed in a criminal database because you are a Baptist, or a Catholic? The government cannot infringe on your rights to keep and bear arms, and placing your name in a criminal database is unconstitutional. This is why it is so important to vote against Hillary this fall since she will place many justices on the Supreme Court and your gun rights will be taken away.

LD23 Rep Jay Lawrence: I have read all 20 pages of Marijuana initiative. Don't believe what you read in the first few pages about driving under the influence, and workplace use of pot, and teen agers obtaining and using pot. Go to page 13 and see the paragraphs that say finding marijuana in your system is not punishable. Elsewhere, How about if an adult gives a teen marijuana or a teen gives another teen marijuana. Opening remarks compare those offenses to liquor offenses of the same kind. Not so, read further. An adult who supplies an underage user with pot is subject to a minor penalty, up to 300 dollars fine and 24 hours of community service. And the lies go on. Read It! Worse, by 2021 there can be an unlimited number of marijuana outlets.

The Tempe Republican Women will not meet in June. A new member potluck is scheduled from 7-9 pm., July 15. Details tba.

The Arizona American African Republican Committee is on Summer Break until September 1, according to Chairman Rev Clyde Bowen aaarc6@centurylink.net

Town Crier Jim Ely: Taken from the MCRC Briefs:  “66% of GOP Voters Think Most Top Republicans Don't Want Trump to be President Despite Donald Trump's record turnout in this year's primaries, most Republican voters are convinced that their party's leaders don't want him to get elected. Read More Here we see evidence that most ‘top Republicans’ had rather try and preserve their ‘perks and power’ under a Hillary Administration than to represent their party.  With the ineffective congress they may think that Trump will ‘clean house’!  And, with this, we sense a loss of loyalty.  We see the ‘Dump Trump’ movement.  In spite of Obama’s record, we see top level Democrats support him.  In spite of Hillary’s dismal record we see Top Democrats support her.  Obviously, WE THE PEOPLE are not always right and deserve the government that they elect.  Obama was elected by WE THE PEOPLE and may go down in history as the worse POTUS ever elected.  When Obama was elected we had a Democrat controlled House and Senate.  WE THE PEOPLE changed that by electing Republicans.  But, Perks and Power prevailed and not much changed in congress.  POTUS still rules with executive orders, unelected cabinet secretaries call the shots, and a Republican controlled house controls the money and we are still $20 trillion in debt. When will the bubble burst?  What do we see from the AZ GOP Chairman Robert Graham to support and lead WE THE PEOPLE?  Support the censor McCain movement?  Close primary support?  And what does anyone see from the AZGOP Executive committee, TEA parties, AzRA, or any one or group other than RINO Graham supporters?  If the “Dump Trump” is effective at the National Convention, or if Trump wins the nomination and the party doesn’t have a strong GOTV program and Hillary wins - we will probably see the demise of the Republican party because of Perks and Power and the lack of leadership. It’s time for Graham to start meeting regularly with the 15 county chairs and any LD chair who wants to attend and lay out an aggressive plan for supporting WE THE PEOPLE and a strong GOTV plan.

Brian Reilly, Former LD22PC: In Tom Morrissey’s 6/26/16 letter to MCRC Briefs, he wrote: “Look up in the sky.  Is that a bird?  Is it a plane?  It's Joe Arpaio!”   We are supposed to view Arpaio as Maricopa County’s “Superman?” While I question associating Arpaio with a fictional character who wears tights, a cape and flies out of windows, and leaps over tall buildings with a single bound, let’s for a moment consider the following words associated with Superman and what he stood for:  “Truth, justice and the American way!” Consider the following events, as outlined in 10-Key-Findings-Civil-Contempt-Ruling-Against-Sheriff-Joe-Arpaio by KJZZ’s  Jude Joffe-Block, and ask yourself, is Arpaio anything like Superman?

1. Defendants Intentionally Violated Court Orders.

2. Arpaio And Sheridan Both Made “Multiple Intentional Misstatements Of Fact While Under Oath.

3. Arpaio Had His Deputies Ignore The 2011 Preliminary Injunction Because He Believed It Would Help His Re-Election.

4. Arpaio's Confidential Informant Dennis Montgomery Purported To Investigate Snow, And Arpaio's Testimony To The Contrary Was Not Credible.

5. Arpaio Attempted To Conceal Montgomery’s Records From The Court.

6. At Least 157 Immigrants Were Wrongfully Detained By MCSO And Turned Over To Federal Agents For Deportation, And Will Need To Be Compensated.

7. MCSO Failed To Conduct Adequate Internal Investigations Into Officer Misconduct, And Some Completed Internal Investigations Must Be Voided.

8. No Other Deputies Were Disciplined For The Items In Armendariz’s Garage Despite Evidence Others Were Involved.

9. Individuals Who Were Not Named As Defendants In The Contempt Case Also Violated Court Orders, Including One Of The Sheriff’s Lawyers.

10. MCSO May Have Put Surveillance On A Witness In Order To See If She Was Giving Information To The Phoenix New Times.

“Is that a bird?” Is it a plane?”  No. It’s the black cloud of legal problems created for Maricopa County by “America’s most expensive Sheriff” Joe Arpaio.

The Arizona Department of Education yesterday released preliminary state level AzMERIT results for the 2015-2016 school year. The results included statewide passing and proficiency rates for both English language arts and mathematics in grades 3-8 and high school. Final AzMERIT results for all Arizona public schools, districts and charter holders will be made available in late August. Data released at that time will also include demographic breakdowns and performance by school type (district, charter and alternative). Paper AzMERIT family reports will be made available to districts and charters in mid-July. Parents can contact their child’s school for more information on when and how they will have access to results for their students. Arizona public school students in third grade through high school take AzMERIT. Students in grades 3 through 8 take an assessment in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics at their grade level. Students taking high school level English and math take End-of-Course assessments that test their proficiency in those subjects. For more information on AzMERIT, visit www.azed.gov/azmerit.

CONGRESSIONAL STATEMENTS

Please comply with the 300 word limit policy. If statements exceeds the limit, it will be edited.

Congressman Paul Gosar: The Fight To Keep Lake Havasu Open Is Not Over – On June 16th, the citizens of Lake Havasu City scored a critical victory in the fight to keep Lake Havasu open for all users. While I am pleased that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service scrapped its latest boating restrictions proposal for Lake Havasu, there is something critically important that the agency forgot. If the Service was truly interested in working with the community and other stakeholders, it would reopen the "Ryde Spot" which was unlawfully closed to motorized boating activities in May of 2015. These restrictions were not based on science or merit and are what originally kicked off the whole controversy between the Service and the Lake Havasu community. I will not give up the fight to keep Lake Havasu open for all users and this past week I demanded once again that the Service reopen the "Ryde Spot."

Congressman Matt Salmon after the Supreme Court struck down provisions of a Texas law protecting women from dangerous conditions in abortion clinics: “Today is a heartbreaking day for a society that seeks the equal protection of women.  In its ruling today, the Supreme Court has made it abundantly clear that women need not be protected from dangerous conditions in abortion facilities.  Under the guise of protecting ‘choice,’ and citing the ruling in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, the court has given legal cover to unsafe practices that actually endanger the lives of those undergoing an abortion.”

Congresswoman Martha McSally has announced that the North American Development Bank (NADB) signed a $4.61 million grant agreement with the City of Willcox, Arizona for upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to improve the quality of treated water discharged to Cochise Lake. “For Willcox and the surrounding community, this grant agreement means better environmental and health results for decades to come,” said McSally. “Today’s announcement is the fruition of a multi-year long effort to upgrade and modernize the treatment plant, and I commend the City of Willcox and everyone who has tirelessly worked to make this grant possible.” The project consists of rehabilitating and upgrading the WWTP by changing the current lagoon system to an oxidation ditch process, which will improve wastewater treatment service for 100% of the system’s 1,032 existing residential connections, The grant funds are being provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through the Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF), which is administered by NADB. The City of Willcox is also receiving loan and grant funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development to cover the rest of the project costs, estimated at $11.3 million. Additionally, the City will be able to continue reusing the treated wastewater at the golf course, rather than potable water resources for that purpose.
