Due To The Popularity Of July’s Canyon Lake Bighorn Sheep Tour, the Arizona Game and Fish Department, in partnership with the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society, is offering an encore Canyon Lake cruise for the public to see magnificent desert bighorn sheep in their natural environment. The three-hour tour, accompanied by Game and Fish biologists and educators, leaves from Canyon Lake Marina at 7 a.m. on Sat, Aug. 13. Cost is $40 for adults and $25 for children ages 5-12. “This is a great opportunity for people to learn about bighorn sheep and conservation efforts in an area virtually inaccessible except by boat,” says Game and Fish Wildlife Manager John Dickson. “During the heat of summer, water is a scarce commodity in bighorn country. This makes summer the best time of year to view young lambs and family groups coming down to the lakeshore to drink.” The Dolly Steamboat offers both open-air decks and air-conditioned viewing areas, is accessible, and has bathrooms. Light snacks and beverages are available for purchase. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable light clothing and bring a camera, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and binoculars. Limited space. Reservations required: call Dolly Steamboat at (480) 827-9144 or book online at www.dollysteamboat.com

GOP Vice Presidential Nominee Gov Mike Pence: “I can’t wait until we have an America we can both be proud of again. When we have a President who looks out for Americans first. A President who rips up trade deals that kill American jobs. A President that builds a wall and places our National Security first. A President who will Make America Great Again! I can’t wait until we have a leader like Donald Trump as our next President….”

National Association Of Former Border Patrol Officers Chairman Zack Taylor: OIG Report Dealing The Negative Impact Of Sanctuary City Laws And Law Enforcement Efforts By ICE Special Agents: “This report details the negative impact on Law enforcement by Democrat controlled Sanctuary city laws and how they negatively Impact ICE's efforts in arresting Criminal Aliens. Anyone reading this report should be alarmed with the Public safety aspect of these Regulations imposed by Democratic Politicians.” oig.justice.gov/report Also see JD Hayworth interviews Zack Taylor

The Daisy Mountain Tea Party Patriots will meet with Maricopa County School Supt candidate Jana Jackson, Maricopa County Recorder candidate Aaron Flannery; Mariopca County Sheriff candidate Marsha Hill, LD1 House candidate David Strenger at 6:30 pm., Tues., Aug 2 at 3701 W Anthem Way, Phoenix, AZ 85027, according to Chairman Vera Anderson. Contact: 602-821-4675 or veraanderson41@gmail.com

Activist Art Olivas: My two cents. I was born in Phoenix and lived in south Phoenix most of my life. When I was growing up we had peace officers walking our streets; we knew them and they knew everyone in our neighborhood by name. We saw them every day. They would stop at our house for ice water. We had ice boxes then and bought our ice by the pound. The Police treated one and all with respect - Black, Brown or White - until they were allowed to run wild at our state Capitol, stomping on our American flag and throwing water bottles at the police. When illegals get arrested; the unions, Puente, ACLU and a coalition of civil rights organizations get them out of jail that very same day. They drive with broken windshields, broken tail lights and also drunk - showing no respect for our law officers. If an illegal becomes a citizen, he holds double citizenship - here and his country of origin. Some are never loyal to America. Some have no respect for any body and will kill even the police because Greg Stanton and his city council continue to keep Phoenix a sanctuary city. The police need to gain back the respect that they once had from everyone in Phoenix. Only they can do that. When I called the police it took them 4 1/2 hrs to get to my house. They have a station less than two miles away. Like Donald J. Trump said. Let the Lawmen do their Job.   That is what I believe!”

Arizona GOP National Committeewomen elect Lori Klein-Corbin will speak at the 7 pm., Aug 11 “Believers For Donald Trump” meeting at Lydia’s La Canasta Restaurant In Wickenburg. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio will be the Aug 25 speaker. For details call 480-589-0511

The Surprise Tea Party Patriots will meet at 6:30 pm., Tues., Sept 6 in the Grand Canyon Room of the Sun City West Foundation Plaza, 14465 W R H Johnson Blvd. Sun City West, AZ 85375. Speaker tba. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio will address the group on Sept 20.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Candidate Marsha Hill is saddened by the recent passing of famous magazine photographer Fred Ward. “Even in the depths of alzheimer, he remembered me… I am honored to have known him,” she said. A frequent visitor to Ward’s family homes in Malibu and Bethesda, she has fond memories of his adventuresome stories of gathering his world famous magazine photos. For more than five decades, Ward traveled to more than 130 countries on assignment for TIME, Newsweek, Life, and National Geographic snapping photos of the Beatles and other celebrities. Some of his most famous photos were taken of Jacqueline Kennedy immediately following the assassination of President Jack Kennedy. Fred-Ward-Photographer-Of-Presidents-Pop-Stars-Gemstones-Dies-At-81

Town Crier Jim Ely: An article appeared on the front page of the 7/30/16 Sierra Vista Herald that says that the Chair of the Cochise County Democrats said, “I’ve been waiting for a long time, since the 60’s , to see a woman president.”  Nothing about qualifications or scandals.  I believe that Margaret Thatcher did wonders for Britain, but who can recall reading anywhere that her success has anything to do with her gender?   To vote for a political office based on gender without regard to qualifications is scary.  That’s like saying that all men are the cause of marriage divorce. The article goes on to say, “Energized by a historic presidential candidate and heartened by a resolve for party unity from her main challenger, local Democrats said they are anticipating victory come November.”  What  has Energized the Republicans?  Does 59 candidates for 249 Precinct Committeemen sound energized?  Has anyone seen a energized precinct committeemen recruitment or GOTV (Get Out The Vote) program developed by the state and county chairmen??   We’ve probably seen more efforts in the AZ GOP to disparage unity than to promote it.  What is strange is to have a person with 30 years of public service who has amassed a fortune (some say of $250M),  in public service riddled with scandals dating back to ‘White Water’ and having been fired from some positions compared to a person who by their own efforts and decisions as a civilian businessmen was able to build a $10B company just doesn’t make sense.  Voters need to be swayed by something more that ‘mannerisms’ or gender before voting. Where is party leadership???

Activist Barbara Blewster: This message is not unusual for folks that have had contact with D. Trump. Still it is wonderful to hear. If he wins or does not win, we have much to do to preserve our Constitution. Stopping the Trade Agreements and Immigration, (which we should do at all costs until assimilation has taken place), ridding our country of the department of Education and Common Core, are very key to restoring our Republic.  One man cannot do it all. Ann Herzer, Independent Research /Educator:  I watched all I could without gagging!  So the top one percent is going to pay for all of her Socialistic agenda.  After they go broke, I wonder who she thinks will pick up the tab? Of course it was filled with inaccuracies as usual from her and her buddies who will do and say anything to get elected or protect their vested interest.    Most of them don't give a care about out poor and minority citizens in this nation. I did have great compassion for the innocent, and found myself deeply moved by their stories, then I remembered why they were there and regained my composure and thinking brain!  Who told their story before a national political convention?  Did any of you think they were there simply to be used?  The entire convention was carefully scripted to appeal to emotions.  Little substance or plans were outline from what I watched.  Same old, same old BS.  Did anyone speak for the murdered policemen, slaughtered men in Benghazi?  I didn't watch very much due to my low tolerance for that type of performance, so I might have missed it if these Americans were honored.  I did see that they finally located some American flags!  How nice!

Cobre Valley Republican Club President Judy Alexander: Now that we have the RNC Convention under our belt, and the DNC Convention is over, we have our Presidential Candidates for the 2016 Election!  Our attention has got to be on this election!!!

The Arizona Permanent Land Endowment Trust Fund returned 3.32% in FY 16, more than five times the announced rate of return of the nation’s largest pension fund, State Treasurer Jeff DeWit announced today during the monthly State Board of Investment meeting. The Arizona State Treasurer’s Office (ASTO) also posted its best earnings distributed since FY 2008, paying out $334 million to the state general fund, local governments, state agencies and beneficiaries of the Endowment.  “This shows how well our top-notch internal staff is performing in difficult market conditions that we are able to out earn the largest pension fund in the country,” DeWit said. “Rather than invest in foreign companies that directly compete with Arizonans for jobs, the Endowment is 100% invested in the United States of America and out-earning the high priced money managers that most government funds rely on.” The $295 billion California Public Employment Retirement System reported earnings of just 0.6% for the 12 months ending June 30, 2016, while the $5.16 billion Arizona Endowment earned 3.32%. “This shows the wisdom of having an independently elected State Treasurer. My 23 years of financial experience, working hand in hand with our highly qualified internal staff, has produced some of the best results in the country,” DeWit said.  The AST0’s $334 million of earnings distributed include $277 million for the 13 beneficiaries of the Endowment; $30.8 million for state agencies, $15.6 million for the state general fund, and $10 million for local governments. Not including the additional distribution from Proposition 123, earnings distributed would have totaled $150.1 million, the best since FY 2009. The ending value of the Endowment was $5.16 billion, $3 million less than a year ago. The value would have been $5.35 billion, a new record, without the extra Proposition 123 distribution.

U.S. Senator John McCain on the shooting of two San Diego Police Officers last night: “Cindy and I are praying for the families and loved ones of San Diego Police Officer Jonathan DeGuzman who was killed in the line of duty, and for the swift recovery of Officer Wade Irwin who was wounded last night. Our hearts also go out to the San Diego Police Department and entire city as they continue to respond to this crisis, and pray that that justice is served to all those responsible for wrongdoing. At a time when our law enforcement officials across the country feel increasingly under attack, it’s critical we never lose sight of the sacrifice these brave individuals make each and every day to keep our communities safe.”

Chip in Now's the time for us to double-down and make sure that the work we've done together doesn't go to waste.
