A Chuckle For Today: This example shows the importance of accuracy in your tax return. The IRS has returned the tax return to a man in New York City after he apparently answered one of the questions incorrectly. In response to the question, ... "Do you have anyone dependent on you?" the man wrote: ... "2.1 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 million crack-heads, 4.4 million unemployable scroungers, 80,000 criminals in over 85 prisons, plus 450 idiots in Congress and a group that call themselves Politicians. "The IRS stated that the response he gave was unacceptable. The man's response back to the IRS was.... "Who did I leave out?"

Former LD22 PC Brian Reilly: I'm disappointed that Judge Snow's referral for Arpaio criminal contempt of court didn't receive major headline news on MCRC Briefs today. Next step is another federal trial seeking Arpaio's criminal conviction. Arpaio is now damaged goods and should retire. Donald Trump should now disavow Arpaio's endorsement. Maricopa Republicans need to vote for the best qualified Republican candidate for Maricopa County Sheriff to replace Joe Arpaio. Editor’s Note: There were four “Snow & Joe” stories listed under the Links section yesterday. 8-20-16-briefs That seems more than sufficient. Our diverse readership has numerous other interests. - ft
LD22PC Wayne Blair Responds To Brian Reilly: Brian, you tell me how a NON-elected official has the power to pass a sentence on an elected official unless it has been judged before a jury of that persons peers? As far as I am concerned, the Sheriff of any county that is elected by his peers has more power than any appointed official/judge whether that appointment came from a DEM or GOP. To me, that elected Sheriff has more power than the POTUS in that county he has to protect. I'm not for illegal immigration and if you notice, the people that are bringing these charges on this Sheriff are all of Spanish heritage which has been brought on by SB1070 where AZ did not have the balls to tell the Federal Gov/SCOTUS to bow out of AZ business. That is not the way the Constitution works. The States are the ones that give the Government the power but that power is judged by the Constitution. In my way of thinking, SB1070 ought to be reinstated and enforced to the fullest, to hell with what the courts say which the 9th Court is driven by the liberals out of California. This Judge Snow is and thinks like these people of California. He might call himself a Conservative but I would bet you that he has more liberal ways/thinking than you give him credit for. All he is doing is helping the other candidates that are running against Sheriff Joe or why had he not brought this sentence request out a year ago (cause it does not hold any more power then but does now). No appointed judge has any power as far as I see it, elected judges do. Sorry that I can not agree with you on this issue.

Maricopa County Sheriff Candidate Wayne Baker: Well the primary election for sheriff of Maricopa County may have just got a little more interesting as Judge Snow has just referred criminal charges on Joe Arpaio and 3 staff members. Folks please do your research before voting in the primary election and choose the candidate best suited for this position. I believe that the necessary changes needed within the office can be done at an expedited pace with my experience and knowledge, and I am encouraging you to cast your vote for Wayne Baker for Sheriff. My compassion for this organization goes far beyond a paycheck and my name in the marquee lights as may be the case with other candidates.
