Graham County Republican Committee Chairman and US Army veteran John Duane Rhodes has been released from Mt. Graham Regional Hospital and continues to improve at home from injuries sustained from an assault which occurred on his property Monday. According to the Safford Police Department: On Monday afternoon (Aug 22), David Morse, age 58 of Pima, Arizona, drove onto the parking area of Rhodes Construction and entered the office where Rhodes was talking on the phone. Rhodes instructed Morse several time to leave his property, but Morse refused to leave (a witness to the requests is respected conservative activist Christine Bausermen). Morse attempted to photograph and/or film Rhodes with a phone while both were on the Rhodes property. Rhodes informed Morse that he was not to take photos on his property and knocked the phone from Morse's hand. Without warning, Morse lunged at Rhodes, squeezing Rhodes' throat while forcing him to the ground. Morse thrust his knee into Rhodes' chest and began beating his head on the tile floor. Rhodes, who is legally disabled, took some time to recover. Rhodes then overpowered Morse. Morse fled the scene and ran to a woman next door to seek her assistance. Safford PD showed up about this time. Rhodes was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Morse is being charged with trespassing and assault. Judge Gary Griffith today issued an order of protection/restraining order prohibiting Morse from being within close proximity of Rhodes. – Keith Alexander
State Rep. Phil Lovas - Arizona State Chairman, Trump-Pence Campaign: I want to thank all the great Trump supporters in Maricopa County and throughout the state who are helping the campaign. We couldn’t win without you! There’s lots of exciting things happening with the campaign and I wanted to provide an update.
· First, I am often getting asked about yard signs. We have distributed the small allotment of blue Trump-Pence signs we originally received. We expect to have another shipment of signs in the near future and will begin distributing those as soon as we receive them. We expect to place a presidential campaign record number of signs throughout the state! We have a number of different coalition groups that are helping throughout the state.
· Special thanks to Tom Morrissey for his work with Veterans for Trump and Lori Urban for organizing Women for Trump! We have many different coalition groups and if you are interested in getting involved in a coalition for Trump please reach out to Thayer Verschoor, the Deputy Campaign Director. If you can help make calls for Mr. Trump, we appreciate your support! Every Tuesday is Trump Tuesday from 5-8pm. We started with two locations – the AZ GOP headquarters and the AZ GOP Sun City office. We’ve now expanded to six locations including Tucson, Flagstaff, Safford and Payson. We expect to open more locations and add additional nights for calling as we move closer to the election.
· If you are interested in having someone from the Trump campaign come speak to a group or organization, please let us know. We have been going across the state delivering signs and spreading the news about Mr. Trump and the campaign. You can reach us at the Trump headquarters in Mesa at 602-833-2200. Nearly-$500K-In Dark-Money-Spent-In AZ-Legislative-Primary-So-Far …With just one week until Arizona’s primary election, political spending to affect legislative races aid for by outside groups that don’t disclose the source of the money amounts to almost half a million dollars. The $478,000 in “dark money’ was spent in the past six weeks, ramping up during the past tow, once early ballots were mailed to Arizona voters…
Another “Right Way Super PAC” mailer from Alexandria, VA hit the Congressional District 4 mail boxes today targeting Congressman Paul Gosar. The message is almost laughable as it indicates Gosar doesn’t listen to the local officials. If you follow Gosar’s local appearances for the past few years, voters will find that he is constantly meeting with his constitutes – far more than a lot of our congressional delegation. Wickenburg Mayor John Cook praises Gosar for his responsiveness to area concerns. Obviously, Gosar has ticked off the Washington, DC Establishment flunkies when he stood up to GOP Speakers John Boehner And Paul Ryan – who are known for rolling over for the Obama administration. – ft

The Republican National Committee (RNC) released “Caught Lying Again,” a new video exposing Hillary Clinton’s constant dishonesty to the American people. The video comes on the heels of a court filing confirming that Clinton failed to turn over thousands of work-related emails, as well as her scurrilous attempt to blame former Secretary of State Colin Powell for her email scandal. “Hillary Clinton’s pattern of dishonesty and unethical behavior knows no bounds, and there’s no doubt we will see more of the same if she’s elected president,” said Reince Priebus. “The American people deserve better than Hillary Clinton’s ongoing deception, and with Election Day less than three months away, the State Department should expedite the review of these emails and release them in full so that voters can hold her accountable and make a fully informed choice in November.” Watch the video here.
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus called on Hillary Clinton to end her streak of 263 days without a press conference: “It’s time for Hillary Clinton to hold a press conference to explain the brazen conflicts of interest and obvious pay-to-play politics that went on in her State Department,” said Priebus. “Clinton owes explanations for why she broke ethics agreements regarding foreign donations to her family foundation, gave preferential treatment to foundation donors as secretary of state, and why we should believe that her secret server wasn’t designed to cover up the shady pay-to-play politics at her State Department. We’ve been here before: in March of 2015 Clinton stood at the U.N. and lied directly to the American people about the nature of her secret server and the classified information she exposed -- it’s time for her to face the press again, except she needs to tell the American people the truth they deserve this time. Failure to face the press will only deepen the question on voters’ minds: what exactly is she hiding?"
Today the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced it has raised $199.5 million this cycle, including $27.2 million in July. The Party currently has $34.5 million cash on hand. “Thanks to a high level of grassroots support and our Joint Fundraising Agreements with the Trump campaign, the RNC is raising the resources we need to elect Donald Trump president and preserve our majorities in the House and Senate,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “We will continue to bolster our fundraising efforts all the way through Election Day.” RNC Fundraising Fast Facts:

Pima County Chairman Bill Beard: It was announced this week that two long time friends of the conservative movement in Southern Arizona will be leaving our radio airwaves to pursue other paths. Joe Higgins of Wakeup Tucson, 1030 KVOI and Jon Justice of 104.1 KQTH are both leaving their shows this week. Both men have been supporters of many conservatives. Whether it was the candidates or those smaller and more limited government ideals, they help lead the charge to change our community for the better. You did not have to listen to either of them for long to understand their compassion for the average person or their love of this region. They have been strong advocates of making our community a more prosperous and thriving one for us all. Whether it was highlighting the ludicrous actions of local government, bad policies that stifled our economy or the blindness of elected officials to the consequences of their actions both have served this community well. The list is long and varied. Be it the Tea Party, Rio Nuevo, Government spending and it's priorities... it was their voices that help spur many listeners to action. Joe will be staying in the region but will be pursuing the same goals off air. Jon has taken a position in Minneapolis in a larger radio market where he can shine an even larger spotlight on conservative ideas. On behalf of Republicans across this region I want to thank them both for their dedication, their humor and their heartfelt desire to improve all lives across Pima County and Southern Arizona. Wherever their paths may take them it is our wish that they succeed, their families prosper and that their voices continue to serve.

Rep. Paul Gosar Presses Fish and Wildlife Service for Answers on Havasu Boating Closures, Refuge Manager - “Until the Service comes clean and unconditionally withdraws the May 2015 boating restrictions, it will continue to hear from the people of Lake Havasu” Today, Gosar sent a letter to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) Director Daniel Ashe, seeking answers to arbitrary and lawless decisions made by his agency that effectively closed off recreational boating on Lake Havasu in May of 2015 “While stakeholders of Lake Havasu were successful in temporarily stopping the Service from expanding its arbitrary boating restrictions in April of 2016, we are not out of the woods yet. There are still countless questions that need to be answered by Service leaders and the agency has flat out refused to reopen the area that kicked off this controversy. “To date, not a single Service employee has been fired or held accountable for their egregious conduct in attempting to shut down waterskiing, tubing and wakeboarding on Lake Havasu. Shamefully, former Havasu Refuge Manager Linda Miller, who bears the brunt of the responsibility for this mess, appears to have even been promoted. Until the Service comes clean and unconditionally withdraws the May 2015 boating restrictions, it will continue to hear from the people of Lake Havasu, other Members of Congress and me about this lawless decision. I will not quit in my fight to keep Lake Havasu open for all users.” See full letter HERE. See Gosar website HERE to view full documentation.
Congressman Paul Gosar: The global threat of terrorism is at an all-time high. In a little over a year's time, deadly terrorist attacks occurred in Orlando, San Bernardino, Paris, Nice, Brussels, Turkey, Iraq, India, Pakistan and Nigeria. Thousands of innocent civilians have lost their lives. These terrorists are unlike any enemy we have ever faced. They do not value their own lives or even the lives of their children and will stop at nothing to kill anyone who opposes their apocalyptic beliefs. President Obama is so scared that he will alienate his liberal base that he has overseen the most restrictive and ineffective rules of engagement in the modern world. He refuses to define the enemy for whom and what they are – radical Islamist terrorists – and refuses to put forth an effective war strategy that will combat dangerous terrorists that are beheading and slaughtering innocent civilians. To make matters worse, last week President Obama transferred 15 Guantanamo Bay (GTMO) detainees to the United Arab Emirates, the largest transfer of his administration. Additionally, we now know that the president lied about paying a $400 million ransom for the lives of 4 Americans being held hostage by Iran. The Daily Signal reports, "The Obama administration’s hostage deal is a dangerous precedent that puts more Americans at risk of being targeted by Iran and its terrorist surrogates to extract ransom payments in the future. This is part of the hazardous legacy that Obama will leave for the next president." While the President has demonstrated he does not have the fortitude or leadership qualities necessary to accomplish the mission, there is too much at stake for our country to go gentle into the night. While he is busy parsing words, ISIS is taking advantage of American weakness and attempting new ways to cross our borders and invade the homeland. Gosar website (http://gosar.house.gov).
